The city council of Minneapolis has declared that it is in favor of “dismantling” its police force:
Nine of Minneapolis’s 12-member City Council appeared at a rally Sunday with activists and vowed to “dismantle” the city’s police department.
This aggressive stance comes in the wake of George Floyd’s death two weeks ago after a Minneapolis police officer kneeled on Floyd’s neck during an arrest.
“It is clear that our system of policing is no keeping our communities safe,” Council President Lisa Bender said at the rally. “Our efforts at incremental reform have failed, period.”
The effort is being spearheaded by Council member Jeremiah Ellison.
“We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department,” Jeremiah Ellison tweeted Thursday.
“And when we’re done, we’re not simply gonna glue it back together. We are going to dramatically rethink how we approach public safety and emergency response. It’s really past due.”
Jeremiah is the son of Keith Ellison, the Muslim Attorney General of Minnesota and staunch supporter of Antifa:

This provides a glimpse into the kind of “community policing” one could expect. Looting would be permissible in areas where “privilege” exists. Minneapolis would see security run by warlords as are seen in Somalia, Mexican-style cartels would control the flourishing drug trade and Taliban like organizations would provide health care and medicines. Sharia law could easily become the law of the land. There will be different laws for different people- kind of like now. Minneapolis is just the first.
The good news is that marrying your brother or sister could become legal.
The worst racism and violence is ALWAYS in democrat controlled cities. What really would make a difference is defunding democrats and dismantling the democrat party.

These guys are playing both ends against the middle, with the long-term intention of widening divisions and weakening their main geopolitical adversary. Their advocacy of Trump in 2016 was the first brilliant move in a longer game of chess. Now that he’s in place, they’re suddenly feeding the other side of the division. You have to get outside the context of the reality television program itself to understand what they’re actually up to.
maybe some or all of these rioters should visit Moscow and meet a few friendly Moscow police? they would have a wonderful time. a visit to the Black Dolphin Prison might be a nice side tour.

Before we both retired but I had, I was home much more and could see how things were changing (for the far worse) in downtown Long Beach, CA.
Gangs were fighting for territory close to our home.
Police were becoming so money hungry that they’d ignore poor people who drove dangerously because they wouldn’t pay their tickets anyway.
Instead they’d go after taxpayers only.
Illegal gatherings on the streets were tolerated all the time, usually by illegal aliens wanting amnesty.
But when police failed to come out after guns with laser pointers were aimed at us we knew it was time to get out.
That was Long Beach 7 years ago.
From what I understand our old building is covered in tagging and our old neighbors (who didn’t leave) say they are surrounded by criminals, dealers, prostitutes, addicts and homeless.
Is it too late to leave?
Real Estate claims they can get high prices for properties, but the buyers are mostly absentee landlords willing to rent to criminals as long as they promise to pay.
Yeah, get out while you can.
Find a safe, more rural area with lots of land all around your place, like we did.

Last time Chicago mayor Lightfoot did a conference call with her councilmen she cussed out one and got cussed out in return.
The issue was that she protected the ritzier parts of Chicago while allowing looters and arsonists destroy other parts.
