obama’s endless grasping at straw men reaches Fox News

Prior to the Presidential election Barack Obama made it clear that while he was not on the ballot, his ego was:

“I am not on the ballot this fall. Michelle’s pretty happy about that. But make no mistake: these policies are on the ballot. Every single one of them.”

America agreed. And it handed him his ass. But it’s not his fault. Nothing is ever his fault:

To hear Barack Obama tell it, his career trajectory from backbencher in the Illinois state legislature to president of the United States has gone flawlessly. It’s everyone else who’s let him down.

Behold the Immaculate Administration — conceived in sinlessness and discharged with purity of heart. If only others would pull their load.

After all, it can’t be his fault that, seven years on, the economy is still a mess, the national debt is pushing $20 trillion, Russia is gobbling up bits of central Europe and his handling of the Middle East has sent a tidal wave of Muslim “refugees” streaming toward the heart of Europe while ISIS builds a caliphate, can it?

No, nothing is ever obama’s fault. Never has been, never will be. The word “introspection” is not recognizable in his lexicon. So when hillary got toasted in the election, obama embarked on the odyssey to find straw men to blame.

He blamed hillary:

President Barack Obama suggested fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton was partly to blame for her stunning loss to Republican Donald Trump in the presidential election. The president noted that Clinton should have focused on reaching out to white, non-urban voters like he did in both 2008 and 2012.

The president noted that Clinton’s failure to “show up everywhere,” not just the diverse big cities she focused on during the final leg of her campaign, ended up costing her the election, Politico reported. “How we organise politically I think is something that we should spend some time thinking about,” Obama told reporters on Monday (14 November) ahead of a foreign trip to Greece, Germany and Peru.

He blamed social media:

He blamed “fake news”:

Now he settles on Fox News as his latest straw man:

In this election, [white working class voters] turned out in huge numbers for Trump. And I think that part of it has to do with our inability, our failure, to reach those voters effectively. Part of it is Fox News in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the country, but part of it is also Democrats not working at a grassroots level, being in there, showing up, making arguments. That part of the critique of the Democratic Party is accurate. We spend a lot of time focused on international policy and national policy and less time being on the ground. And when we’re on the ground, we do well.

I don’t know what kind of bars obama has been to over the last eight years but Fox News is rarely on the menu in bars. Sports takes center stage there. Most commonly, it’s ESPN, or more correctly, SJWN. It’s a rare place that has Fox News on the screen, not in the least for fear that it might cause a liberal to go postal and burn the place down.

Additionally, barack obama might not be aware of it but he is the President of the United States- thankfully for but another 50 days. As President, obama owns the figurative bully pulpit. It’s his to use as he sees fit, unless he’s too busy bowing to Saudi kings or taking selfies with foreign leaders or shanking shots on the links. If his messages didn’t get through despite a fawning media, it’s not the fault of social media, hillary clinton or Fox News.

Maybe people wanted a change. Maybe they’re sick of his and hillary’s liberal elite condescension. Maybe they’re sick of the goal of globalization at the cost of the nation. Maybe they’re sick of the President dividing us and concerning himself with everything other than his own country.  hillary would have been nothing more than obama III.

In other words, it’s his own fault.

The popular vote clearly shows that the only people that want liberalism are the government-dependent city dwellers. The rest of the working, living, independent country don’t want any more nanny state.

A sitting President, says: “Part of it is Fox News in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the country”, Bush says: “I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system”. One blames the 1st amendment, the other Crony Capitalism.
Trump represents a level playing field for law abiding people, top to bottom. We will all play and succeed or fail by our own efforts. I just want my grandkids to have a fair shot.

Trump is loading up with billionaires and wall streeters–in true Repub tradition. Think longshot Corker will get Sec. State.
Gingrich, Giuliani, Christy, Huckabee don’t fit the image–left out.

@Rich Wheeler: Good thing Obama steered away from the wealthy and chose only able minds. Otherwise, how else would he have done such a wonderful job with the economy and foreign policy? Or, is it OK if they married or scammed their millions instead of gaining them through enterprise?

Obama talks out his rear end.
Did he even listen to Fox News?
They were firing almost every Trump supporter.
The neo-cons that remained were joined by Dems and other liberals on panels that bashed Trump from every angle.
Fox did NOTHING to help Trump.
Even their traveling Trump roadies ignored his words from his speeches and parroted liberal talking points from right inside the Trump venues!

@Rich Wheeler: think about it. The government is a business. These guys know business. Most of those on the hill have never had a ‘real’ job, only a political job. In order to get back on track, we need to get our house in order.

    @Nanny G:

For Obama, he is unable to come to grip with the fact that he failed miserably as president and the people wanted no more of his agenda. Of course he blames everyone else, not his fault, nothing in his delusional mind was his fault during 8 years of an epic failure…..

History should have an asterisk in his spot on the presidential register. The country survived 2008 through 2016 without a president. Instead, there was an elected megalomaniac who tried to reverse the founding of the Nation and was put down by the electorate.

@Bill… Deplorable Me: There is no question Trump is inheriting a much more stable economy/ RE Market/ Stock Market than Obama inherited from “W” in 08.

Nan What Trump supporters did Fox fire? Most, like Hannity, were in the tank for Trump.
It’s true Obama should have gone on Fox.

    @Rich Wheeler:

And he inherited a debt at twice the amount 8 years ago. Was obamas reckless abandonment of fiscal control “unpatriotic” as he claimed it was for W?

Neither, I like Bolton, he has huge balls and does not take any shit….

@Rich Wheeler: “@Bill… Deplorable Me: There is no question Trump is inheriting a much more stable economy/ RE Market/ Stock Market than Obama inherited from “W” in 08.” No question. However, Trump is also inheriting an economy that has been in a regulatory-induced coma, is choking off job creation (don’t start with the low-paying, part time jobs this administration has been in the business of creating) and has been chasing businesses overseas. He inherits an economy teetering on the verge of another recession and it will take deft manipulation to keep ending the quantitative easing, which Obama has been using to prop up his failing economy, from sending it into a tailspin.

I wonder why Obama never went and spoke with Carrier to see if they would mind staying in the US and keeping 1,000 jobs here? Too close to his exit, so he simply didn’t care? I liked how Obama’s former economic adviser, Austan Goolsbee described giving Carrier a tax break… letting them KEEP their OWN MONEY as “paying them off”. This is why liberals never understand the economy and should not be directing it.

@Rich Wheeler: He is historic, Obama never once hit over 3% GDP in his entire time printed money like mad the debt is doubled and the middle east is in flames, wow nice hand over, there is nothing stable about this economy one lil burp and it is a depression. If they dont like the numbers they just change the way they are calculated leaving out the nasty ones.
The men you listed will be somewhere in the admin working to piece together what was torn. Even MAD DOG! hoo rah semper fi
Corker give him something small insignificant til he grows in patriotism that treaty thing was weird.
