WE TOLD YOU SO: Immigration Reconciliation Is Here

by Kathleen Krumhansl

Back in February, MRC Latino warned you that the liberal Spanish speaking media began their push for a “Plan B” regarding the legalization of undocumented immigrants via budget reconciliation. With an infrastructure bill already snaking its way through Congress, that time has arrived.

Watch as Univision and Telemundo combine to amplify Democrat calls to bypass the filibuster by stuffing immigration reform into the infrastructure bill:

CLAUDIA UCEDA: In a Univision exclusive, he (Sen. Schumer) confirmed that he is considering the inclusion of young DREAMers, immigrants with TPS and farmworkers in the reconciliation process for (passage) of President Biden´s infrastructure plan.

SEN. CHUCK SCHUMER: It’s something that we are very seriously looking at it . As I said, I want to get the biggest, broadest bill passed possible that we can pass. And no method is off the table. None.

UCEDA: The House has already passed laws granting citizenship to this group of immigrants. Senator Schumer said that in the coming weeks, he´ll know whether there is enough support for bipartisan efforts to legalize undocumented immigrants. If there isn´t, he´ll choose what he calls a “second option”.

SEN. SCHUMER: There are two different routes: one is bi-partisan, we are hoping that a group is meeting, we´re hoping they can come together. But if not, we´ll be working on the American Job Bill where reconciliation would be part of it.

…JULIO VAQUEIRO: Latino legislators – members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus – met today with President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and discussed, among other issues, immigration reform. When the meeting ended, the group emerged optimistic. They say that President Biden told them that if they don´t get a single Republican vote, and if he finds a way to do so legally, he will pass immigration reform as was done with the stimulus bill – via a process known as (budget) reconciliation.

ADRIANO ESPAILLAT (D-NY): We have to go to that process if the Republican remain, as they´ve been so far, intransigent.

At Univision, correspondent Claudia Uceda offered zero insight – much less pushback- into the Democrat senator´s comments about reconciliation, labeled by Schumer as a most secure “second option”: “There are two different routes,” said Schumer. “One is bi-partisan…But if not, we´ll be working on the American Job Bill where reconciliation would be part of it.”

Over at Telemundo, the push came via a report on a meeting between members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the President and Vice President. When the meeting ended, the group emerged optimistic. They say that President Biden told them that if they don´t get a single Republican vote, and if he finds a way to do so legally, he will pass immigration reform as was done with the stimulus bill – via a process known as (budget) reconciliation.

Again, there was no differing opinion presented, no viewpoint as to why stuffing something as complex as immigration into an already complex infrastructure bill might not be the best approach.

DOMINION WON!

Democrats are desperate. The grabbed power through fraud and they now propose the most anti-American, anti-American citizen agenda imaginable. They want to pack the Supreme Court with justices that will ignore the Constitution and further the leftist agenda. HR1 would codify the election fraud Democrats utilized so effectively in 2020. They are proposing trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars of spending to further far left America-wrecking policies. They want to kill the filibuster so a simply majority can implement this socialist agenda and the initial failure of this insane garbage to pass will be their excuse to kill it.
