I hope they don’t have to use that to get Gorsuch confirmed. The Democrats have set enough bad precedents; we don’t need the Republicans setting them, too. Some Democrats seem to have enough personal integrity to be willing to ignore Schumer’s insane obstruction to everything and vote for confirmation.
But Gorsuch should be installed at all costs.
The dems are playing the long game with a filibuster of Gorsuch. Schumer WANTS to force the GOP to use the Reid option, so that the next time voters are politically stupid enough to vote in a leftist president and Senate, the progs can nominate an even more extremist leftist judge without fear of a filibuster to block a judicial “living Constitution” bench legislative activist, to force leftist policies they cannot impose otherwise.
That is not a reason to avoid using the Reid option to prevent putting Gorsuch on SCOTUS. But real Americans need to understand the motivation of the evil left’s action.
