Trump was big on the national stage long before he was president. Why would he go away after the election is over? He’ll still have tens of millions of (probably angry) followers, deep pockets and a huge megaphone.
There has already been some talk of Trump starting his own television network to rival Fox News, and/or his own social media platform — the latter made more plausible by the heavy censorious hands of those running Twitter and Facebook — and I suspect that Trump would regard a 2020 loss as a setback, not a defeat. Grover Cleveland came back to win a second term after losing the White House, Trump might reason. Why not me? He’ll probably hold campaign-style rallies around the country starting right after the election.
Democrats want to get rid of Trump because they think it will get rid of Trump voters. But they’ll still be around no matter what happens in the election, and they have legitimate grievances — lots of them — with the way the country has been run. Likewise, of course, a Trump win won’t get rid of the Angry Left. I’d say that it will just make them angrier, but I think they’ve already gone to 11.

If Biden wins and the Republicans hold onto the Senate, this could be the worst-case scenario. Not that hypocrisy would be any kind of an impediment to them, but Democrats have been holding Trump responsible for the debt Pelosi’s House has rung up. Also, they faulted Trump for whatever he didn’t get accomplished due to Democrat obstruction, so Biden must be held accountable for any failure to “shut down the virus”, solve the illegal immigration problem, restore their beloved Obamacare, rebuild infrastructure, tear down the wall, end all political violence, solve “systemic racism”, solve climate change and end gun violence.
Biden won’t be able to pack the Supreme Court, make Puerto Rico and DC states, end the filibuster or raise taxes. This means there is the chance of at least one more relatively fair election.
How about you stop your incitement? You have no constitutional authority to call off the counting of ballots just because you don’t like the way the count may come out. You don’t get to kick over the board if you don’t like the way the game is going. There’s an obvious reason why presidents have no constitutional authority over the election process that determines whether or not they remain in office. All counts must proceed and all votes must be counted in accordance with the laws of the states in which the ballots were cast.
You have no constitutional authority to make such a pronouncement. It is up to the individual states to determine whether or not properly completed ballots that were submitted and postmarked before election day should be counted or not.

We can always tell when someone knows their position is weak when they begin citing lies. Trump wants the count stopped until his poll watchers can be present to watch the count. Currently, Democrats are conducting their counts in seclusion and private. Why, Greg? WHY do the Democrats want no witnesses to their counting? There’s really only one answer that makes sense.

“Presidential Poll Watchers” are not a thing in the United States of America, and with damn good reason. Free and fair elections cease the moment an incumbent president has charge of the election process. If asked, the founding fathers would have told you that in a heartbeat.
There are already authorized representatives of both political parties monitoring the processing and counting of ballots, and there has been all along.

Any candidate has the right to appoint a poll watcher, that includes the President of the United States. I have been a poll watcher for a Congressman, a Senator, a State Rep and a non-partisan City Counsel candidate. Poll watchers can also be assigned by political parties. I am constantly amazed at how you profess your legal acumen but you don’t know sh!t about how elections are actually conducted.
Really? Why don’t you admit that Republican poll watchers are being kicked out of the polls in Michigan, Nevada, Arizona and Wisconsin. In Detroit, a ballot counter was videoed wadding up ballots and throwing them in the trash.

The sane part of America won’t allow Biden to take office illegally, as this election is a fraud. There are enough real votes for Trump to win, but so many cases of fraud and cheating that no honest American will allow Biden to get anywhere near the White House.
