Poll: More Americans Blame Biden, Not Trump, For Rising Inflation

A poll released Monday indicates Americans view President Joe Biden as responsible for skyrocketing inflation rather than former President Donald Trump.

The Trafalgar Group and Convention of States Action’s nationwide survey polled more than 1,000 likely general election voters between June 6 and 7 and found that just under 40 percent of respondents hold Biden responsible for inflation. Trump came in at 17.7 percent, followed by 14.4 percent blaming Congress, more than 10 percent blaming the prior Congress, and about 18 percent who are unsure.

Nearly 64 percent of Republicans held Biden responsible, as well as 35.5 percent of people with no party affiliation — both a majority. About 27 percent of Democrats surveyed held Trump responsible, but Biden came in second with more than 21 percent.

Inflation is a major concern among Americans. The Consumer Price Index rose by 5 percent over the past 12 months ending in May, marking the greatest rise since 2008, when the stock market crashed during the housing crisis. The producer price rose by 0.8 percent, whereas Dow Jones and the Wall Street Journal predicted a 0.5 percent increase. The data from May also showed a 5 percent increase in prices in all industries from a year prior, whereas economists thought there would be an approximately 4.7 percent rise.

“The all items index rose 5.0 percent for the 12 months ending May; it has been trending up every month since January, when the 12-month change was 1.4 percent,” the report states. “The index for all items less food and energy rose 3.8 percent over the last 12-months, the largest 12-month increase since the period ending June 1992. The energy index rose 28.5 percent over the last 12-months, and the food index increased 2.2 percent.”

the pedophile along with the total demorat party will bankrupt this country. waiting for the day when the federal reserve collapses. It will happen, it is very close now. todays market was a disaster. Trump was correct was right when he predicted the collapse of the market. basic BA/ MBA economics

Unfortunately all this is much more of a feature of Democrat rule than a bug. It is a planned effect. Get ready for a return to the “good old days” of President Peanut. I remember it well.

The poll is BOGUS. Trafalgar is cranking out pro-Trump propaganda that takes on the appearance legitimate opinion survey results. From the Trafalgar Group’s own “methodology” page:

“We utilize short questionnaires of nine questions or less based on our perceptions about attenuated attention spans and the need to “accommodate modern busy lifestyles.” Our polls last one to three minutes and are designed to quickly get opinions from those who would not typically participate in political polls.”

(That is, a few short, loaded questions, put to people whom they perceive to have short attention spans. No thinking required!)

“We have also pioneered methods to accommodate the “Social Desirability Bias.” This allows us to obtain a poll participant’s true feelings in situations where we believe some individuals are not likely to reveal their actual preferences.”

(Social Desirability Bias?? They think the people they survey aren’t giving honest answers to their loaded, no-thinking-required questions—so they’ve put in a weighting mechanism to “fix” that. They know a respondent’s TRUE FEELINGS, even when they’re the opposite of what the respondent said.)

“Our approach to polling is markedly different from most of the industry. We believe the old system of delivering 20 or more questions via live phone interviews doesn’t fit the modern world. This old system skews toward people who have strong ideology and/or opinions and even worse, those who are bored and looking for someone to talk to. It also fails to address the growing number of people who refuse to share their honest opinion and the new trend of people who refuse to participate or intentionally give false answers because they question who is asking and why.”

(Yeah, that’s “markedly different from most of the industry”. Unlike most of the industry, THEY’RE RIGGING THE RESULTS. That’s what they just told you, if you’re smart enough to understand what they said.)
