Nadler Says House Can Read Trump’s Mind, Then Impeach Him

Loading

It’s an extraordinary claim in the House Judiciary Committee’s just released report on the constitutional grounds for impeachment.

You will find it on page six in the graph beginning “Fourth” where it is stated that: “The question is not whether the President’s conduct could have resulted from permissible motives. It is whether the President’s real reasons, the ones in his mind at the time, were legitimate. Where the House discovers persuasive evidence of corrupt wrongdoing, it is entitled to rely upon that evidence to impeach.”

UPDATE: Question for Nadler — If “the House discovers persuasive evidence of corrupt wrong-doing,” why is it necessary to determine “whether the President’s real reasons, the ones in his mind at the time, were legitimate”?

in Germany between 1932-33, the burning of books by the Nazis became a trademark of the Third Reich. one must understand that these bogus impeachment proceedings is the burning of the American Constitution.

They are entitled to say the Presidential constitutional powers that are permissible by law cannot be weilded by the man the voters have placed in office. Cause They determine without a shred of evidence his motives do not please them. They now call The long island psychic,Theresa Caputo, Queen of the Gypsies Madam Rada, Corporate Entertainer, Rex Sikes, and Psychic Chip Coffey, as witnesses.
The witnesses are reminded not to reveal who killed Kennedy.

Actually, this is the work of Nadler’s “lawfare” elves.
He even distances himself, writing:

The views and conclusions contained in the report are staff views and do not
necessarily reflect those of the Committee on the Judiciary or any of its members.

(From “FORWARD,” by Nadler.)

So, IF we allow mind-reading to become the test for guilt, it is on ourselves.
They just put it out there.
Note, however, that EVERYONE’s motives can be questioned via that newly minted legal concept…..not just a president’s.
And, because it is “thought crime,” there can never be enough sorrow or contrition possible to change one’s “guilt.”

This is being put out there.
But that doesn’t make it a valid legal viewpoint.
Not unless we allow it to stand.

Where are the torches and pitchforks?

Maybe Comey helped them craft this, since he knew that, though she arranged to have a secret server set up in her home on which she kept all State Department emails, including those of varying classifications, including “Most Secret” and, upon demand, destroyed 33,000 of them, she had no “criminal intent”.

Democrats simply don’t care how ridiculous they look or sound. Now they are impeaching Trump for “thought crimes”. They are getting closer and closer to putting their beloved police state in place.
