Prosecutors plan to drop the murder charge filed against an unlicensed security guard who shot a man in 2020 following dueling rallies in downtown Denver because they don’t believe they can overcome the security guard’s claim that he acted in self-defense.
Matthew Dolloff, 32, shot and killed Lee Keltner, 49, on Oct. 10, 2020, during a confrontation between the pair toward the end of two opposing political rallies in Denver’s Civic Center. One demonstration featured conservative “Patriot Rally” attendees. That group was met by left-leaning counter-protesters.
Dolloff’s attorney, Doug Richards, said prosecutors with the Denver District Attorney’s Office told him they intend to dismiss the second-degree murder case at the pre-trial conference scheduled for March 21. A jury trial was scheduled to begin April 12.
“I’m just really happy for Matt and his family that the DA finally realized what we’d known all along,” Richards said.
A spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney’s Office on Thursday confirmed that prosecutors plan to dismiss the murder charge because they cannot overcome Dolloff’s statement that he acted in self-defense. Dolloff had not been charged with anything else in connection with the fatal shooting.The guy who merely filmed the McMichaels shooting Ahmaud Arbery in self-defense got life in prison but Dolloff can’t even be brought up on charges for a jury to decide.

Kyle rushed with a fire extinguisher put it out and the arsonist began to chase him screaming he was going to kill him Rosenbaum rushing at Rittenhouse, and trying to grab his gun. Hours before the fatal encounter, Rosenbaum had been released from a local hospital in the wake of a suicide attempt, the Washington Post reported last fall.
He had pending charges in Wisconsin for alleged domestic abuse and jumping bail at the time of his death.
In December 2002, a court in Pima County, Arizona, sentenced him to a decade in prison on child molestation charges. He spent just over 14 years in prison and committed dozens of disciplinary infractions, state records show. Kyle ran toward police to turn himself in. Was chased by a mob one of them illegally armed with a pistol, the second guy hit him in the head with a skateboard, yup that can kill a person, Wisconsin court documents show that Huber was convicted of domestic abuse and disorderly conduct in 2018. He also served a prison stint in 2012 for choking his brother. The third was the illegally armed felon he survived but was effectively disarmed after the gun was leveled at kyles head. Kyle then continued tried to turn himself in and was told by police to go home so he did.
Kyle got a jury trial and found innocent.
It was self defense. The video available showed he was attacked by three people who tried to kill him. When someone chases you and tries to take your weapon, it is self defense to defend one’s self. When someone tries to kick you in the head, it is self defense to defend one’s self. When someone, illegally carrying a weapon, by the way, tries to shoot you, it is self defense to defend one’s self. Meanwhile, a Trump supporter was murdered and there was no penalty, so apparently it is not illegal. What is dangerous is the precedent, which is repeatedly established, that left wing violence committed against conservatives is permissible.
The jury saw it that way too. Innocent on all counts. Maybe to jackass democrats would like to do away with the jury system

This man was mutually arguing and attacking the other.
