Iran Might Have Shot Down a Ukrainian Airliner, But Pete Buttigieg Blames America

Loading

We’re less than two weeks into 2020, but we already have a statement that definitively sums up the current state of the Democratic Party.

There is now evidence that the Ukrainian airliner that crashed in Tehran on Tuesday was shot down by a Russian-built surface-to-air missile, such as those used by Iran’s anti-aircraft system. And guess whose fault that is, according to Mayor Pete?

A candidate for president of the United States just blamed the United States for Iran shooting down a commercial airliner and killing dozens of civilians. Buttigieg could’ve just expressed his condolences. He could’ve said nothing at all. Instead, he decided to blame his own country for the actions of one of its enemies. That was his instinct. It’s not really a surprise, but it’s informative to have documented proof of it.

Iran did this. It’s Iran’s fault. But Dems can’t say so because everything has to be Trump’s fault.

“Country over party.” Ha!

Is this the sort of wisdom we could expect from a President Buttigieg? Are Dems really this nostalgic for Barack Obama and his worldwide apology tour?

Iran should have grounded all commercial airflight during the fireworks show, not a single launch site was hit some nervous nellie in Iran made a mistake, or there was some people on that plane they did not want to leave.
Pete is an idiot.

A typical liberal democrat a member of the Stupid Jackass Party(Liberal Democrat)someone needs to give this idiot a one way ticket to Iran i am sure they can use this dirty traitor

@kitt: Not only that, but if they expected US aircraft attacks, they should have grounded all commercial flights. Iran had no idea what they were doing.

So, what do Democrats offer in their campaigns? Economy-killing socialism, racism, nation-crumbling, debt-driving programs and now treacherous disloyalty. Yeah, we should vote for THEM.

@Spurwing Plover:
On a Ukrainian airliner, a Boeing 737 max if they own one.

Everyone keeps saying this was unintentional, an accident… Consider the comments from an Iranian military commander who said they (Iranians) were expecting a US military response as an excuse why a trigger happy missile site person pushed the button on that airliner and thus blamed Trump for the accident. Remember, these are the same people who sent children to clear mine fields during the Iran-Iraq war.

The excuse is a de facto admission that Iran’s leadership deliberately planned to shoot down the airliner counting on the US to fire missiles in response to the two volleys they sent. They were counting on Trump to retaliate, when he didn’t, he screwed up their plan to credibly blame the US for the downing of the airliner. It was all a PR ploy to blame Trump for a war that would supposedly unite the Iranian people. It now has blown up in their faces.

@dscott: Not everyone unless you only are listening to both governments public feed. How many planes came and went that day? The Canadians murdered were most likely ex-pats of Iran or neighboring countries.90 passengers killed were Iranis.
I maybe they fully expected some type of retaliation, maybe not.

@dscott: @kitt: Put absolutely NOTHING past these radical Iranians. As we’ve seen, they don’t mind killing their own people or anyone else to further their agenda. No doubt they’ve been watching our Democrats and see the boundless potential of fooling those idiots.

@Deplorable Me: The Iranians know their television and news is state approved propaganda, when will the democrats catch on?

@kitt: Democrats WANT to be lied to. Unless the media lies to them, their ideology is not reinforced. Believing the United States is evil and oppressive and needs to be “fundamentally changed” justifies all their destructive, hateful plans.

Innocent civilians are now dead because they were caught in the middle of an unnecessary and unwanted military tit for tat.

My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of all 176 souls lost aboard this flight.

Buttigieg’s statement is completely accurate. Exactly what part of his statement is not entirely true?

He’s not accusing America. That’s PJ Media’s bullshit spin. He isn’t accusing the military, either. What you don’t like is what he’s trying to make you figure out for yourselves.

@Greg: Well, no, his comments are not true. A “crossfire” implies fire coming from more than one direction, with the victims in the center. All the fire came from Iranians. Butt-gouge simply cannot admit the fact that Iran did this all on their own and, once again, there is NOTHING to blame on Trump. He also ignores the FACT that DEMOCRATS have financed, emboldened and encouraged Iranians to act aggressively, which resulted in them getting smacked on the nose.
