Don’t flash this around; the Democrats will be stirring up a panic over the flu next.

CONFIRMED: 222,000 Flu Cases and 22,000 Flu Deaths in US this Season … AND– 1,864 COVID-19 Cases and 41 Deaths in US This Season

There’s no evidence that COVID-19 even has a season. The rate of transmission may be unaffected by the advent of warmer weather. It appears to be both more easily transmitted than influenza, and to have a higher mortality rate. We don’t know how widely it may already have spread because of the length of the incubation period, because it may be transmitted by those who have yet to show symptoms, and because we haven’t done enough testing to provide the data needed to make those calculation. We can certainly observe what has happened and is happening elsewhere.

If some media coverage has been alarmist, Gateway Pundit’s article is the other side of that same coin. It’s leading people toward irresponsible and potentially dangerous conclusions.

I’m not sure what the utility is in comparing the Corvid-19 to the Flu. Apples and oranges.

We’ll get through it, no problem. But the current figures are about 3.4% mortality rate, and the estimated global death toll

The estimates by Mike Osterholm (U of Minn) on Joe Rogan are 2-3% mortality rate, with an estimate of approx. 480,000 worldwide deaths. This is worst case, and it can be curtailed by our actions.

The above figures would be significant if the Corvid-19 was just gone today. But it’s just getting started.

This is something I just don’t agree with some conservatives on, though I reject the jackass claims of the Dems about Trump’s response. This is a natural disaster, and we all have our part to play.

@Nathan Blue: But the flu is a seasonal yearly thing.
