There are cops behind her. This wasn’t a case of one guy vastly outnumbered or in danger

Other police were literally in the line of fire because so many of them were right behind her!
Had she been a danger to them, one of them could have arrested her, no problem.
Watching a different video showing the demonstrators walking in a line thru the Capitol Building hall tells me there was no riotous mania going on at all.
Whoever this officer is should be tried and have the book thrown at him if found guilty.
(Of course, with a 96% Dem/radical jury pool, who knows if a jury would even find that a crime occurred …… see the Kathryn (“Kate”) Steinle case where the jury found that NO crime had even been committed.)
@Nan G: People that assaulted the Capital should have known that attacking officers with guns protecting US government representatives might get themselves shot. She should not have been shot, there was no lawful reason to shoot her, but it was a chaotic situation. No telling what the officer saw or thought was about to happen.
Like so many other cases, where the left could find no political use (for instance, Michael Reinoehl sneaking up behind a Trump supporter in Portland and executing him) they ignore her shooting other than to lump her and three others together as if the “mob” killed them.
