Barack Obama is a key player in the war in Ukraine. He handed over an advanced stealth drone for Iran to copy.
In 2011 Iran somehow came into possession of an advanced RQ 170 US drone aircraft. At first Obama denied it.
The White House has rejected a claim by Iran that it has captured an unmanned aircraft belonging to the United States.
Iranian state media reported the drone was caught by the country’s military forces after it violated its airspace.
A spokesman for President Barack Obama said there was “no evidence” the claim was true.
Not long after, though, Obama was begging Iran to return the drone.
President Barack Obama said Monday that the United States has asked Iran to return a U.S. drone aircraft that Iran claims it recently brought down in Iranian territory.
“We’ve asked for it back. We’ll see how the Iranians respond,” Obama said in a news conference, alongside Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
Iran told Obama to stick it.
A top Iranian military official previously vowed not to return the unmanned American stealth plane that it says it has.
“No nation welcomes other countries’ spy drones in its territory, and no one sends back the spying equipment and its information back to the country of origin,” said Gen. Hossein Salami, deputy commander of Iran’s military, the semi-official Fars news agency reported Sunday.
“It makes no difference where this drone originated and which group or country sent it to invade our airspace,” Salami said. “This was an act of invasion and belligerence.”
Iran made good use of the drone. By 2014 it had reverse engineered the drone and flew their own copy.
An Iranian copy of a U.S. drone that was deemed lost in 2011 has taken its first flight, its state news agency reported Monday.
Iran reported in December 2011 that it had captured a U.S. RQ-170 Sentinel reconnaissance drone, a military stealth vehicle reportedly equipped with communication and nuclear surveillance technology. After news of the drone’s flight was reported by IRNA, Iranian commanders reaffirmed that valuable technology had been extracted from the American drone, according to Reuters.
You might notice that I said Obama had allowed to come into possession of the drone. In my opinion it was a technology transfer. Obama refused to destroy the drone once it had come to Earth. It landed wholly intact. The drone was not shot down. All the gift lacked was a bow neatly attached. Perhaps it was part of a deal to get Iran to sign onto the JCPOA (which Iran violated from day one).
With this technology gift, Iran happily went on to become a global producer of drones.
Iran is emerging as a global leader in the production of cheap and lethal drones, according to US officials, who say Tehran is using the war in Ukraine as a shop window for its technologies. Analysts at the Defense Intelligence Agency outlined how Iran had turned from being a regional drone player in the Middle East to becoming Moscow’s most significant military backer in the war.
Countering denials by Iran’s foreign ministry that its drones had been used in deadly attacks in Ukraine, including against civilian energy infrastructure, the officials shared declassified intelligence demonstrating that Iranian drones used in attacks in the Middle East – including one claimed by Iran – were identical in all significant features to drones being used in Ukraine.
Iran supplied Russia with drones prior to the latest Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Iranian government acknowledged for the first time Saturday that it had sent a limited number of drones to Russia in the months before the start of its invasion of Ukraine.The statement by Iran’s foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian comes after previous denials by Tehran that it had supplied Russia with weapons for use in Ukraine, saying it “has not and will not” do so. Amirabdollahian did not say if the drones that were supplied to Moscow were the type that carry explosives.
You might remember that Obama shrugged off the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014.
“The politics inside Ukraine were more complicated,” said Obama.
Iran is also supplying missiles to Russia, and Joe Biden just gave Iran $6 billion to continue Iran’s drone and missile production as well as being able to retain its title of the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism. Biden has sent a message to all our enemies that we will capitulate to extortion, that we are weak. Biden is willing to pay $6 billion for five hostages.
This will only continue. Joe Biden’s foreign policy is one of weakness and it represents a continuation of Barack Obama’s efforts to kneecap the US. Obama and Biden have put the US on both sides of the war.
And now Ukraine has become Afghanistan. It has become Vietnam. It is a black hole that has consumed over $100 billion American taxpayer dollars and there appears no end in sight. No one is winning. Ukrainian men are fleeing the country.
Are we really saving democracy? Zelenskyy’s government is corrupt and 78% of Ukrainians blame Zelenskyy. He has suspended opposition parties. He has nationalized the news.

How do you destroy Russia’s ability to prosecute its war against the Ukraine? By doing what Trump did; gain control of the world price of oil by being a large net exporter! What has Biden done since taking power? He has done everything in his power to destroy U.S. production of Oil, and thus to ruin any chance the U.S. would have had to influence the price of a barrel of oil. His actions have driven up Oil’s worldwide price! Who does this help? Putin. The Biden Administration seems to be allied with both combatants in this war.
