Impeach David Weiss first

When they return from recess, the first thing House Republicans should do is demand David Weiss recuse himself. Failing that, they should impeach him.

You will note that prosecutors pursuing Donald Trump have scheduled as much as they can with the obvious intent to impair Trump’s ability to conduct his Presidential campaign.

When facing a similar situation back in 2020, David Weiss chose to bury the Hunter Biden tax evasion story:

Last summer, federal officials in Delaware investigating Hunter Biden faced a dilemma. The probe had reached a point where prosecutors could have sought search warrants and issued a flurry of grand jury subpoenas. Some officials involved in the case wanted to do just that. Others urged caution. They advised Delaware’s U.S. Attorney, David Weiss, to avoid taking any actions that could alert the public to the existence of the case i the middle of a presidential election.

“To his credit, he listened,” said a person involved in the discussions, reported here for the first time. Weiss decided to wait, averting the possibility that the investigation would become a months-long campaign issue.

“Averting the possibility that the investigation would become a months-long campaign issue.”

You see any reticence on the part of the DOJ prosecutors to interfere with the coming election?

Weiss, however, decided to delay taking any actions that were likely to make the existence of the Hunter Biden probe public. Concerns about affecting the presidential election loomed large when Weiss entertained arguments about advancing the probe, according to the person involved in the discussions. No matter what he did, the decision was sure to come under scrutiny for signs of politicization.

No kidding. Not only did he smother the tax evasion and laptop stories, but he also dragged out the Hunter Biden tax evasion case until the worst tax evasion crimes saw the statute of limitations expire. Two IRS whistleblowers have testified that Hunter Biden got special treatment from Weiss and there is concrete proof of it. A black former Baltimore police commissioner spent 275 days in jail for a far weaker case of tax evasion ($62,000) than was facing Hunter Biden (Over a million dollars).

Weiss would then try to craft a plea deal in which Hunter Biden would plead guilty to a couple of measly misdemeanors, pay a paltry fine and be immune from all future prosecution. Were it not for an eagle-eyed judge this travesty would have gotten done.

For a long time Merrick Garland has insisted that Weiss had all the authority he needed to bring potential prosecutions of Hunter Biden in any venue he chose. IRS whistleblowers Shapley and Ziegler testified that Weiss claimed he did not have such authority. Shapley testified that Weiss had previously asked to be Special Counsel, which Weiss denied.

Garland then proceeded to elevate Weiss to Special Counsel, which is odd since Garland insisted Weiss had all the authority he needed without being a Special Counsel. Weiss’ appointment is in violation of the Special Counsel statute which calls for the SC to have integrity and come from outside the government. Weiss doesn’t fit either requirement.

The reality is that David Weiss is on team Biden. The reality is that Weiss is going to drag this case on forever until the statute of limitations runs out on the remaining tax evasion and FARA violations. There will be no trial of Hunter Biden and if there is one, Biden will be looking at charges of jaywalking.

Impeachment inquiries should be begun for Joe Biden ASAP, but Weiss should go straight to impeachment. There’s plenty of evidence of straight up malfeasance let alone conflict of interest. One does not make a US Attorney the Special Counsel in a case when he or she has a demonstrated an obvious bias toward the accused and already endeavored to help accused escape all accountability. Weiss is a disgrace.

Garland appointed Weiss to kill off the case and that is exactly what Weiss is going to do.

I see where their already drawing up articles of Impeachment against Biden

This is the most obscenely corrupt DOJ in US history. I pray this corruption will never be surpassed. The list is long for those who need to be impeached and removed from office. No one should expect Weiss to recuse himself because Democrats NEVER recuse themselves; their conflicts of interest is why they are there in the first place.

I keep telling those who are fantasizing about Trump going to prison that they are only fooling themselves and are, once again, setting themselves up for massive disappointment. Their bloodlust will, once again, go unsated. Putting Trump in prison isn’t the goal, disrupting and destroying his campaign is. Interfering in yet another Presidential campaign is the purpose of the indictments. Every one of them would be overturned on appeal if a conviction was actually reached. But, of course, by then, it is hoped, the election will be over and the brain-dead puppet would be staining the White House for another 4 years.
