Hunter Biden has two defense teams: Latham and Watkins and Joe Biden’s DOJ

What was made very clear to me today was that Hunter Biden has two defense teams- Latham & Watkins and the Biden DOJ. You don’t really need to know much about Latham and Watkins other than perhaps they tried to pull some shenanigans last night. And this:

In 2021,

Biden appointed Nicholas McQuaid to be the interim head of the Criminal Division of the Justice Department. Until his appointment, McQuaid had also been a partner at Latham, where he had worked on some cases with Clark. Justice Department conflict of interest rules would require McQuaid to receive a waiver to participate in oversight of the Hunter Biden probe. A DOJ spokesman, Joshua Stueve, declined to say whether McQuaid had received a waiver or recused himself from the case. Clark did not respond to a request for comment.

What you really want to learn about is Hunter’s other defense team, also known as the Biden DOJ.

Meet  David Weiss

David Weiss is the schmuck who changed the outcome of the 2020 election. Supposedly a US Attorney dedicated to equal justice, Weiss’s specialty is slow walking cases involving persons with the name Biden. Gary Shapley and Joe Ziegler, the elite IRS agents investigating Hunter Biden, came to an agreement with Biden’s lawyers to extend the statute of limitations on Hunter Biden’s felony tax evasion (the part where all the Burisma money came into play). Weiss did what he does best and allowed the SOL’s to expire on the tax felonies.

Weiss allegedly negotiated the idiotic plea deal that blew up today.

Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son, has reached a tentative deal with the U.S. attorney in Delaware, agreeing to enter guilty pleas to two misdemeanor tax charges and admitting to felony gun possession, according to a Justice Department filing.

From a great piece by Sarah Bedford, Meet Alexander Mackler

A close associate of the Biden family appears to have spent years working in the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office, including during the months when whistleblowers said the office took up an investigation of Hunter Biden.

Alexander Mackler served as press secretary in Joe Biden’s Senate office and, later, as legal counsel in his vice presidential office. Mackler managed the late Beau Biden’s successful campaign for Delaware attorney general in 2010.

And Mackler served on the Biden-Harris transition team in 2020, helping the Biden administration create the blueprint for its Justice Department.

Mackler also appeared to have a close personal relationship with Hunter Biden. In emails found on Hunter Biden’s laptop, Mackler corresponded frequently with Hunter Biden and his business associates and even referred to Hunter Biden fondly as a “brother” in October 2018. Mackler was working under U.S. Attorney David Weiss in the office at that time, according to his LinkedIn page, which lists him as having worked in the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office from August 2016 to May 2019.

Turns out that Mackler is another Captain Slow.

According to testimony to the House Ways and Means Committee from Joseph Ziegler, a top IRS agent on the Hunter Biden case for years, the Delaware office had an investigation into Hunter Biden’s financial dealings by January 2019.

Five freaking years and they couldn’t bring a tax felony case against Biden.

Meet Lesley Wolf

Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf featured prominently in the testimony of two IRS agents who spent years working on the Hunter Biden investigation. Both Gary Shapley and Ziegler, the IRS whistleblowers, said Wolf intervened to stop multiple investigative steps from moving forward, including by preventing FBI agents from asking witnesses any questions about Joe Biden’s involvement in foreign business affairs and by tipping off Hunter Biden’s attorneys about a planned search of his storage unit.

Wolf worked alongside Mackler in the U.S. attorney’s office before Mackler’s departure. She and Mackler prosecuted a major case together, for example.

Yesterday Jason Smith (R-MO) filed an amicus brief including the testimony of the two IRS agents.

Then everything went to hell for the Bidens.

Meet Judge Maryellen Noreika

She went and screwed everything up when she started asking questions. The “plea agreement” was a bloody joke and for a reason.  It had two parts: a “diversionary” program for Hunter which expunged the gun charge if he stayed clean for two years. The second part included the misdemeanor charges which had this special Biden DOJ gift- blanket immunity for Hunter from pretty much everything he’d ever done or might do.

It was when Judge Noreika began asking questions that the facade collapsed. According to Andy McCarthy, the two teams could not explain the Constitutionality of the diversion, nor could they cite any precedents. The immunity agreement lacked specificity. Noreika would not accept it.

Ironically, Biden then pleaded not guilty to the charges to which he was originally going to plead guilty. There are a couple of things to watch. The statute of limitations on the gun charge was said to run out in October. The grand jury has to be convened before then in order to preserve the charge.

Hunter is ripe for a FARA charge and it would stick. Mueller stuck Paul Manafort in prison for it. OTOH, he allowed Tony Podesta to register retroactively. That all sucks.

Had Noreika not asked questions, we all would have been had. This episode puts on clear display just how corrupt Joe Biden has made this country.  It’s not just anyone who can count on the Department of Justice acting as your defense firm.

For 62 years, “Its not the same when the UNIPARTY does it!”! Hunter not going to prison is proof positive UNIPARTY is different in 2023 as it was in 1961!

Kudos goes to the judge. Regardless of her political affiliation, (Democrat) the judge has honor and principle. She was not going to let the corruption in the DOJ/FBI or the biden regime taint her.

It is time the walls collapsed on the biden crime family. There is more than enough evidence to imprison not only the family that is a pack of feral dogs, but all of those who have worked for decades enabling them to skirt the law.

It’s great to know there are a few judges left that don’t put politics first and protect the Democrat party. You can bet no such judge will be involved in any of the phony cases brought against Trump. For those, the fix MUST be in.

Democrats NEVER recuse themselves due to conflicts of interest. The conflicts of interest is WHY THEY ARE THERE. It’s a given that Democrats are going to be corrupt. Until the totalitarian police state is fully in place, it often becomes necessary to kill prosecutions brought by overzealous people who erroneously believe the Constitution is still in effect.

If they were trying to sneak that blanket universal immunity deal through, one wonders how many MORE crimes not yet discovered Hunter (and idiot Biden) are guilty of. God, the DOJ needs an enema. BAD.

After being in court for 3 hours, don’t you know Hunter’s attorney was jonesing for a hit off that bong? He and Hunter both.

Biden selects from t he very bottom of the Dumpster all those he wants in his cabinet the worst of the worst of the dregs

I’m going to sort of disagree, you know the crud that drips out of the dumpster??
