I’m done with boosters

From the beginning I have been a proponent of vaccination for COVID 19. I’ve gotten both Moderna injections and one booster.

That’s it for me, though. I’m done.

I’m tired of the scare tactics. I’m tired of lockdowns. I’m tired of masks. But those aren’t the reasons I’m ceasing vaccinations. It’s the data that’s bugging me. The definition of fully vaccinated is more fluid than genders. It used to be one or two injections, then a booster became required. Now a second booster is being considered. The vaccination was initially thought to last at least a year. Then a booster was needed at six months. Then the CDC cut that to five months. In Australia they’re down to 3 months. Soon we’ll need weekly boosters.

Enough.

I now have many friends and family who have experienced omicron. It is milder than the flu and passes more quickly than the flu. It has most likely reached a peak. Omicron cases are falling by 30% in the UK.  Pfizer says it will have an Omicron vaccine ready in March. I won’t be taking that, and I think we’ll see the same downward trend in cases in the US soon. Fauci says eventually we’re all going to be infected with omicron. Finally, I agree with him. Omicron will probably confer cross immunity to other COVID strains on the cheap and without a needle.

After claiming two doses were effective, Pfizer’s CEO suggests 3 doses are required for protection against COVID.

The WHO has admitted that repeated vaccinations are “not sustainable.”

Now the World Health Organization has waved the white flag on Covid vaccine boosters too.
 
WHO released a statement about Covid vaccines yesterday. It’s filled with the usual public health jargon and ass-covering, but one line stands out:
 
a vaccination strategy based on repeated booster doses of the original vaccine composition is unlikely to be appropriate or sustainable.
 
It’s over, people.

It also appears that vaccination makes people more susceptible to omicron than the unvaccinated.

The CDC admitted that adverse reactions to VAERS (the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) are significantly under-reported.

The risk of myocarditis rises in men 40 years old and younger with repeated vaccination.

A huge new study has found the risk of serious heart problems called myocarditis in men under 40 soars with each dose of a Covid mRNA vaccine – and is sharply higher than the risk from a coronavirus infection itself.
 
The findings call into sharp question the efforts by American colleges and universities to make their students receive booster shots before returning to school this January – especially since other studies have shown that the risk of post-vaccine myocarditis is concentrated not merely in men under 40 but in those aged 16-25.

Regulators in the UK report that repeated vaccination weakens the immune system.

European Union regulators have warned that frequent booster injections of Covid-19 could harm the immune system and may not be achievable.
 
Repeating the booster doses every four months could eventually weaken the immune system and tire people out, according to the European Medicines Agency. Instead, countries should allow more time between booster programs and link them to the onset of the cold season in each hemisphere, in line with the plan set by influenza vaccination strategies, the agency said.

In Australia there are more vaccinated people hospitalized for COVID than there are unvaccinated people hospitalized for COVID.

The unvaccinated are no threat to anyone other than themselves and ostracizing them is stupid.

It is not rising along with the new cases. It’s dropping off. That’s a great thing.

There’s a whole of noise on TV about the number of hospitalizations but in New Jersey more people are being hospitalized for non-COVID reasons than for COVID.

The majority of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in New Jersey were actually admitted for reasons other than COVID-19, officials said on Jan. 10. Of the 6,075 people with COVID-19 and hospitalized in the state, just 2,963 were admitted for COVID-19, New Jersey Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said during a briefing.

Even Fauci suggests that COVID in kids is being over-counted:

“The other important thing is that if you look at the children are hospitalized many of them are hospitalized with COVID as opposed to because of COVID,” Fauci added.

 

“What we mean by that is that if a child goes in the hospital they automatically get tested for COVID and they get counted as a COVID hospitalized individual, when in fact they may go in for a broken leg or appendicitis or something like that.

 

“So it’s over counting the number of children who are ‘hospitalized’ with COVID as opposed to because of COVID.”

I continue to feel that vaccination does blunt COVID severity at least with regard to alpha and delta strains and I recommend it. It doesn’t have much effect on omicron but that’s not all bad. If you’re confused by all the reports you’re not alone. Big Pharma money seems to be the dominant factor at this point. Fluid doesn’t begin to describe what’s going on, but I do know one thing that’s certain.
