I have a few thoughts about the current racial unrest being unleashed throughout this amazing country. The carnage from sea to shining sea is sad to watch and perplexing to observe.
First. Last summer, during a televised riot, a white male, dressed in black from head to toe and carrying an umbrella was observed spray-painting BLM on the exterior walls of an auto parts store. It was not raining. The man was not only defacing the building, but he was also intentionally breaking windows outside the store with a hammer. He seemed bent on a senseless mission to destroy. A young black female confronted the man and said, “What are you doing? You are making us look bad.” The man ran away and yelled at her to, “Stop following me, or I will hurt you.” The young lady was not intimidated. She followed him to his car and confronted him a second time. She yelled, “You are making us look bad. Who are you?” That woman was very courageous and extremely observant. Who was that masked man? I hoped that Fox News would follow up and interview that young lady because she was a hero in my book. I also wanted Fox News to investigate and identify the white male who intentionally wreaked havoc that night just to make blacks look bad. Who paid this minion to destroy property? What do his overlords hope to accomplish? The story disappeared down the memory hole and the courageous female and the despicable, mysterious white dude faded into oblivion. Their confrontation was a story worthy of deeper investigation but alas, would never be told.
Second. I have sadly watched the police across this country vilified and demoralized. The thin blue line is all that separates us from anarchy and the line is getting thinner as honorable men and women abandon law enforcement. In Portland, Oregon, police “…turnover is the highest seen in 15 years. 115 officers have retired or quit since July 1 of last year. I have never seen morale so low.”
Portland is not unique in this trend. In multiple cities across the country police are quitting, and I don’t blame them. They can’t win. Police get little or no support in blue cities run by Democratic mayors aided and abetted by incompetent prosecutors. Even politicians join the fray. Maxine Waters magically appeared in Minneapolis on the eve of the Chauvin verdict, demanded police protection and then incited mob violence if the verdict did not include “guilty, guilty, guilty.” Maxine also said, “We’ve got to get more confrontational.” Maxine lives in a 6 million dollar mansion, 2,000 miles away from Minnesota. Riot smiot. Who cares? When she sleeps at night she won’t even smell the smoke from the burning buildings.
Cops are used to being shot at and second guessed for making split second decisions at 3 a.m. in a dark deserted alley when confronting armed assailants. Police are poorly paid and richly rewarded with scorn, derision and hatred. Morale is at an all time low and many outstanding men and women in blue are pursuing other careers that do not involve getting shot, stabbed, spit on or doused with toxic concoctions. Eventually, the police won’t have to be defunded because they’ll be gone with the wind. Liberals will cry tears of joy and dance in the street until they are mugged, raped, carjacked or worse. Then they will instantly become conservatives and beg for police protection. Who will hear their cries in the middle of the night? Their desperate calls to 911 will go instantly to voice mail:
Sorry, the police have been permanently disbanded. It was the right thing to do.

“Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do” when nobody comes for you? Anarchy will reign. Armed citizens will defend themselves and weak citizens will die. Only the strongest will survive. Cities will become war zones. Society will break down block by block and city by city. Think springtime in Somalia.

Simultaneously, the left wants to disarm citizens (while releasing violent criminals from jails and prisons).
