The Thing that wouldn’t leave

Presidents are generally expected to sort of go quietly into the night following the end of their terms. Some do not. Then there are those who need to STFU and go away.

Barack Obama is one of those Things that just won’t leave.

And he’s so full of sh*t.

He’s back to lecturing us “who we are.”

“We have gone through a presidency that disregarded a whole host of basic institutional norms– expectations we had for a president that had been observed by Republicans and Democrats previously. And maybe most importantly– and most disconcertingly, what we’ve seen is what some people call truth decay, something that’s been accelerated by outgoing president Trump, this sense that not only do we not have to tell the truth, but the truth doesn’t even matter.”

Some of us haven’t forgotten who he is

And perhaps Obama can explain which institutional norms he was respecting when he…

1. Spied on his successor

2. Spied on members of Congress

3. Spied on journalists

4. Used the IRS to target his political opponents

and of course

More of those institutional norms and truth decay.

“There are strong men and dictators around the world who think that, “I can do anything to stay in power. I can kill people. I can throw them in jail. I can run phony elections. I can suppress journalists.”

Says the guy who…

1. Complained he didn’t have as much power as a Chinese dictator

2. Spied on journalists and had them arrested

3. Threw a guy in jail for making a movie about Mohammed

Truth decay. It’s a real problem.

In his second, “awesome” memoir, nearly 800 pages in length taking 29 hours as a audible book, he calls us racists

According to Obama, the nation that legitimately elected him as its first black president became racist when they refused to vote for the elderly, white Hillary Clinton. Even though black unemployment is lower under Trump — every demographic saw the same, with wages and benefit increases across the board — everyone who disagrees with Obama does so not because his policies are illogical or his arguments straw man; it’s because everyone else is a bigot.

As for his lack of scandals

Obama also spied on members of the press and tried to charge journalist James Rosen as a “criminal co-conspirator” through the Espionage Act of 1917. According to the Associated Press, “Trump may use extraordinary rhetoric to undermine trust in the press, but Obama arguably went farther — using extraordinary actions to block the flow of information to the public.”

The Obama administration used the 1917 Espionage Act with unprecedented vigor, prosecuting more people under that law for leaking sensitive information to the public than all previous administrations combined. Obama’s Justice Department dug into confidential communications between news organizations and their sources as part of that effort.

• “It is now historic fact that reporters in Washington, D.C., were lied to and fooled by the Obama Administration with regard to the Iran nuclear deal.”

And speaking of gay marriage

Obama declined to say when “a baby gets human rights,” as Warren put it.

“I think whether you are looking at it from a theological perspective or a culture perspective, to answer it with that specificity is above my pay grade,” Obama responded.

The low murmur from the crowd was a sharp contrast with the loud applause to Obama’s response to gay marriage a few seconds later.

Asked to define marriage, Obama said it “is the union between a man and a woman.”

obama was elected in part because of his opposition to gay marriage.

barack obama is a damn hypocrite and liar.  His narcissism, posturing and pontificating are nauseating.
