Eric Swalwell is without a doubt one of the slimiest people in Congress, and that’s saying something. He follows Adam Schiff around like a puppy, kissing Schiff’s backside constantly and is prone to saying stupid things.
Recently he made the statement that removing an Ambassador for political reasons is an abuse of power
“It’s an abuse of power to remove an ambassador for political reasons because you don’t like what they’re doing. Period,” Swalwell began in reference to Yovanovitch, adding later that “it’s an extraordinary abuse of power if you remove an ambassador the way the president did.”
Swalwell, none too bright, is one of many liberals who believe that history began when Donald Trump was elected because someone else fired a whole group of Ambassadors for a political reason.

The incoming Obama administration has notified all politically-appointed ambassadors that they must vacate their posts as of Jan. 20, the day President-elect Barack Obama takes the oath of office, a State Department official said.The clean slate will open up prime opportunities for the president-elect to reward political supporters with posts in London, Paris, Tokyo and the like. The notice to diplomatic posts was issued this week.
Political ambassadors sometimes are permitted to stay on briefly during a new administration, but the sweeping nature of the directive suggests that Obama has little interest in retaining any of Bush’s ambassadorial appointees.
Most ambassadors, of course, are foreign service officers, but often the posts involving the most important bilateral relations (such as with Great Britain, Japan and India) or desirable locales (such as the Bahamas) are given to close friends and well-heeled contributors of the president.

This is simply one more of those “It’s only wrong when trump does it” kind of things. It also goes to the heart of democrat policy- lie,cheat and steal- in order to get Trump out of office. It’s all part of the coup. It’s disinformation in the style of the Gestapo, the Stasi and the KGB.
Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the President. Swalwell either is in desperate need of a civics lesson or he is an intentional liar.
Then again, I’ve always though that Swalwell looks more like a Nazi than anyone else in Congress.

Obama did what you do when you don’t think those merely dedicated to their job and country will buy into your ideological agenda. Until all Obama holdovers are purged, this should be the practice.

There’s only one thing to do; blame Trump and impeach.
It has been traditional for all appointed office holders (especially if the opposite party had appointed them) submitted their resignation when a new president was elected. Don’t know why this didn’t happen when Trump was elected. When Obama was elected, he fired all existing ambassadors before he even took office (which I’m quite sure he didn’t have the authority to do).
