Has it really been just over two years since we inaugurated our 45th president? My, how time flies! With seemingly weekly media meltdowns that can easily distract from the big picture, let’s take a few minutes to look back on the accomplishments of our president. What is important here is to only focus on the outcomes of the administration’s policies. While there will always be partisan disagreement over the methods used to accomplish them, we can all agree that we mainly care that our president’s policies result in outcomes that are best for the United States. While we don’t have the time to cover every aspect of the current administration, we’ll focus on some of the biggest issues. Without further ado, Hillary Rodham Clinton’s first two years in office!
Foreign Policy
Republicans raised same significant reservations about a president whose foreign policy is best remembered for “The Reset button, Benghazi, and the rise of ISIS. Once in office, HRC rose above her seeming inexperience and blunders from her first assignment on the big stage. One of her first acts on foreign policy was to drop one of the biggest conventional bombs in our arsenal on terrorists. She set about renegotiating trade deals where America had significant disadvantages. She reached out to our biggest adversaries, not from the groveling, apologetic stance of her predecessor, but from the perspective of someone who loved her country. HRC even pushed the wealthy European freeloading nations to start paying their fair share of the tax burden in supporting the national defense of their own nations.
Crazed Republicans still bitterly clung to their conspiracy theories of her being a Russian agent and made vague arguments about the Emoluments Clause, citing such flimsy evidence as the money the Russian government paid to The Clinton Foundation and her husband in speaking fees and to her husband in exchange for nuclear material. Come on guys, the 80s called and they want their foreign policy back! HRC laid to waste any doubts as to if she were in the pocket of the Russians, between withdrawal from a nuclear agreement which the Russians were violating, to actually enforcing the red line her predecessor had drawn, having American forces killing Russian mercenaries in Syria! Let’s not also forget how this “Russian Agent” scolded the Germans over their pipeline plan that would leave them dependent on Russian oil. Speaking of Russian oil…
Energy Policy
President Clinton set the tone right off the bat, calling for a separation of church and state that could have been a potential millstone around the neck of the economy. Her tax and regulatory policy, while controversial at times, resulted in an energy boom whose effects could not be denied by even the most cynical political opponent. The United States became a net oil exporter, and is forecasted to become a net overall energy exporter between 2020 and 2022! Economic Boom
Remember the cynicism of the years leading up to the Clinton presidency? The very smart people told us that 2% annual growth was the new normal, based on her predecessor being the president to achieve the worst economic growth since Hoover. She was even taunted that she was supposedly going to “wave a magic wand” to bring back all of those jobs. Well, manufacturing jobs surged, and 4% annual economic growth appears to be the new normal! Consumer confidence also jumped to record levels, as the American People believed in what HRC’s policies produced. There are too many success stories to show the genius of HRC’s policies – unemployment numbers at record low levels (women and minorities biggest recipients), food stamp usage plummeting, the economic success could be a multi-part post by itself.
Of course, her political opponents were furious at some of her results. For example her tax cuts that helped fuel the economic surge raised taxes on the wealthy. Naturally, the party of Plutocrats was infuriated at the notion of the notion of the rich paying their fair share, and state level officials made every effort to ensure that the wealthy commit the outrage of being allowed to keep their own money. It was so ridiculous that the tone deaf Republican House Leader, upon hearing that companies were using their tax cuts to hand their employees four figure bonuses, dismissed them as “crumbs”.
Economically, HRC has not been perfect – while the doomsayers predicted that the radical idea of letting the American people keep their own money would lead us into a depression, tax receipts soared to record levels. Unfortunately, she had no stomach for reigning in spending, and the federal deficit surged under her watch, showing that fiscal responsibility draws bipartisan hypocrisy of being an issue for the party out of power.
There have been other issues with her presidency, but overall when you look at HRC’s overall performance and how many Americans have benefitted from here policies, we should all be able to agree that much is great news, right?
Of course, if the results cited above would excite you if they came from a president while is a white woman or a black man, but you are perpetually if they come from the policies of a man who happens to be white (or orange!), you might be a bigot.

During the Obama administration, we had the media and Democrats (two heads of the same hydra) telling us economic failure was an economic boom. Now we have the same liars telling us an economic boom is a failure. Like they told us Trump shut the government down while Schumer stands there with the power cord he yanked out of the wall still in his hand, the lies of desperation get more bold and blatant.
