California State Senate President Pro Tem Kevin De Léon (D-Los Angeles) is quite a piece of work. He introduced a bill into the California State Senate that would make California a sanctuary state. He is the author of the bill:
SB54, authored by Senate pro Tem Kevin De Léon (D-Los Angeles) and Sen. Richard Pan (D-Sacramento), is scheduled to be heard in the State Senate’s Public Safety Committee this morning.
According to Senator De Léon’s website, SB54 (along with two other bills designed to provide state funds for legal defense for anyone ordered deported) is to be known as “Protecting California’s People and Prosperity Against Immigration Enforcement Overreach.” De Leon has ordered these measures “to prevent the use of state and local resources, including personnel, for immigration enforcement; and the creation of a federal registry” fast-tracked, meaning the normal schedule of hearings that can take weeks will be compressed into less than a week.
De Léon is worried that Donald Trump might deport those illegals guilty of identity theft and fraud.You know, crimes that would put you and me in jal:
“Someone simply who received or purchased a [fraudulent] Social Security card down at McArthur Park, or elsewhere in my district would be eligible immediately for mass deportation,” De Léon said (at 11:45 in the link above).
“He’s trying to deputize police officers — and with the suspicion of someone being a criminal or having a broken taillight, that they themselves, as a local police officer, could call the ICE agents immediately and have that person deported without even legal due process.”
Host Larry Mantle asked him: “… First of all, I just — I want to make sure I understand correctly: You don’t think purchasing a phony Social Security card and number should be a deportable offense?”
De Léon replied: “I don’t think so … the vast majority of immigrants — hard working immigrants — have done that. I can tell you I have family members specifically who came here as undocumented immigrants, and they did the same thing. That’s what you need to do to survive in this economy.”
Mantle objected: “But of course the problem is, — and I know people too — who’ve had their Social Security numbers and identities stolen as a result of that….”
This is outrageous. Thing is, De Léon is highly motivated to ram this bill through. Half of his family is comprised of illegal aliens and they have violated the law:
Testifying before the Senate Public Safety Committee, De Léon defended the widespread practice by illegal aliens of using fraudulent documents to work and obtain taxpayer-paid benefits, dismissing any concerns California citizens may have about being the target of identity theft.
The law takes back to family with this legislator. His words:
… I can tell you half of my family would be eligible for deportation under [President Donald Trump’s] executive order, because if they got a false Social Security card, if they got a false identification, if they got a false driver’s license prior to us passing AB60, if they got a false green card, and anyone who has family members, you know, who are undocumented knows that almost entirely everybody has secured some sort of false identification. That’s what you need to survive, to work. They are eligible for massive deportation.
This is state sponsored and state endorsed crime- fraud and identity theft. Now I presume this doofus took the oath of office upon entering the legislature so let’s have a look at that oath. First, the prelude:

At least two generations of political and social pressures have urged disregard of certain of your most important legal duties, and the time has come to say enough is enough. I cracked up when I first read it.

After a five year hiatus it’s OK to have tried to overthrow the government.
This begs many questions. Is there such a thing as “law” in California at all? Does the law apply to illegals at all?

At the same time our Veterans are dying in the streets and in need of care. If you visit any hospital ER, welfare office, law enforcement facility, or public school the evidence supports the fact that ILLEGAL immigrants are costing billions!! America needs proper border enforcement and enforcement of the laws already on the books!!
