The account of Kate Steinle’s death is gripping and sad.
He recalled: ‘We walked down to the Embarcadero and had lunch at a place called Perry’s. We walked over to the ferry building and Kate wanted to go into one of the stores there to check on some pottery items she’d ordered.
‘We walked out of the ferry building and down to the middle of the pier. It was a beautiful, cool evening with a little breeze. We turned around and Kate took a selfie of us. We kept on walking and heard this pop.’
Mr. Steinle said: ‘Kate said “Help me dad” and fell to the ground. I gave her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and a woman came over and said “Can I help?” I said, “someone needs to call 911”. I had my hands around her, held her head. We rolled her over on her side that we thought had been injured and sure enough that’s where she’d been shot.
A father unable to help his daughter. Unable to save her. It’s a terrible feeling. I once was summoned to the ER to work on a 21 year old woman who had been in an MVA. As we began to examine her fractured jaw she coded. We worked on her for forty five minutes to no avail. We were unable to save her.
Later we learned that she had suffered an aortic dissection consequent to her AP chest compression in the MVA. It was of little comfort. We couldn’t save her.
As sad as we were, not being able to save your little girl is far worse.
Kate Steinle did not have to die. She died because one of Obama’s Latino nephews killed her. She died because her illegal alien murderer knew he’d safe in the sanctuary city of San Francisco. Liberals killed Kate Steinle as sure as did Francisco Sanchez.
Tragically, Steinle’s death is not unique. Since 2010 121 murders have been attributed to illegal aliens with 14 deaths in 2015 alone.
The United States is infected with 347,000 convicted criminals released into the general population by the Obama regime. Chew on that for a moment.
Hillary Clinton said she’s “disappointed” in Donald Trump’s words excoriating the damage illegal aliens have done to the people of this country. Typically, she conflated legal immigrants and illegal immigrants in her phony rant:
“I don’t care how many people running for president on the Republican side try to demean immigrants, insult immigrants, cast aspersions on immigrants,”
In all her sputtering indignation, something was missing- the victims of illegal alien crimes and their families.
It says a lot about Hillary that she apparently wasn’t disappointed in Kate Steinle’s death.
And then there’s Obama. When it came to gun control Obama had this to say:
“If there is even one thing we can do to reduce this violence, if there’s even one life that can be saved, we’ve got an obligation to try.”
Yet when it came to protecting the borders from illegal alien criminals Obama made clear to ICE that amnesty…what’s the word I’m looking for…“trumped” the safety of US citizens. When it comes to illegals, one American life is no longer holds significance.
Does anyone wonder if Obama will issue a statement on Steinle’s death as he did for Freddie Gray, Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin? How many aides will he send to Steinle’s funeral?
Kate Steinle deserved the protection of her country and her President. Instead, Obama and liberals gave her a Dirty Sanchez.
I live here in SF and learned what happened from several witnesses. It happened at Pier 39 when a latino guy was going through a discarded suitcase and some piles of clothes off of a touristy sidewalk. He bent over and grapped a group of clothes and in doing so picked up the gun underneath or in it and it went off, tragicly shooting a bystander. Regardless of one’s opinion about the clown on the tv and their ignoring the border these events had nothing to do with dude being allowed back in the US or immigration policy. Its about a random and unanticipated occurance (albeit a la Final Destination). This writer of this article is either shamelessly abusing this tragedy in order to call these traveling latinos bad names, or he just doesn’t known truth and somewhere upstreak in the newsrooms someone else first put in the spin. Know when to be biased. Know when to be impartially objective.
If that is the case, where is the evidence of a discarded suitcase and some piles of clothes? Surely the SFPD was smart enough to secure the crime scene, but maybe not, it is in California, after all.
@Todd: Yeah, that was Francisco’s version of events so I’m sure that’s solid. Fact remains, though, that if he wasn’t here illegally, if he had not returned illegally 5 times after being deported, if he had not been released, as an illegal immigrant AND a criminal, from jail, he would not have been rummaging through any suitcases with locked and loaded weapons in them to go off and kill an innocent girl.
