Some people carry this a bit far.
The president of the United States should be treated with respect for the following reasons:
Whether we like him or not, he was selected by the majority of our peers. Their opinions matter and should be regarded as important.
Whether we like him or not, he is the most powerful person in the world. That power must be acknowledged.
Yeah, well, my Dad always said respect is a two way street.
Barack Obama is not my President. I am his enemy, and Obama’s the one who decided that.
In a interview with Univision, Obama said
“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s going to be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”

ENEMIES.
I can’t take my eyes off of that.
And we don’t have any core American values.
“Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.”
As one of the readers here noted, Obama is speaking about his version of American values, and not the values of normal Americans. Those of us who would like to see American law upheld do not share the same values as Obama.
We are the enemies of the United States. The President of the United States has declared us enemies.
This is the bastard guy who promised to change the tone in Washington.
I guess you could say that he has changed the tone. Obama has made Washington and politics absolutely toxic.
I think Barack Obama has hastened the process by which America’s political debate is becoming utterly poisoned — and he has done it not accidentally, but willfully.

While those who oppose Obama are enemies, Obama describes illegal aliens as “us.”

This is the President whose adminstration no longer says “radical Islam” but insists Republicans are “domestic terrorists.”

We’re not just enemies, we’re treacherous enemies.
This is the President who ended the “Global War on Terror.” The phrase, that is.
This is the President who claims the Chamber of Commerce is a threat to democracy.
Obama sees more enemies inside the United States than outside. United States citizens are now “enemies.”
The tone in Washington sure has changed.
One thing that absolutely has to change in two years is the occupant in the White House. It’ll be nice to once again have a President who doesn’t think Americans are the enemies of America. This is despicable behavior on the part of any President of the United States.
I don’t just miss George Bush, now I miss Richard Nixon too.
This is the real Barack Obama. People who voted for Obama were stooges. They were had in a big way. Voting for him again would prove beyond any doubt that they are stupid.

I despise Obama and everything he represents and his little cronies too. As a citizen, all I can do is vote the guy OUT. And I promise this, whoever runs against this loser in 2012, I will campaign like my life depended on it. Essentially, because it does. I am really scared for America now that I have seen my own president call the people that he represents ENEMIES. My face is so burning red with anger right now. He is NOT my president. Now yeah, I agree: Obama shouldn’t be calling a large segment of America the enemy, EVEN IF that is what they have been calling him, from before his election. Shame on him. Obama’s words haunt me. This is a Democratic Republic and Obama wants to “fundamentally transform” it. Those are his words, not mine.

I define ‘enemy’ as ‘someone to be destroyed; someone to be so soul-crushingly devastated that he cannot bring any harm to me or mine.’ That’s an enemy.
When President Obama defines enemy, it includes words like “man-caused disaster” or “overseas contingency operation”. This is completely understandable when you consider that the most dire threat to his health and well-being he’s ever been forced to face was when the grocery store in his neighborhood ran out of arugula.
This guy’s just a bully. After next Tuesday, when he’s completely deprived of his rubber-stamp Congress, he’ll spend the next two years “all wee-wee’d up” about how unfair it all is.

No, not really. But then again, how do you measure silence? Even with what we get here, meaning some who claim moderation leaning to democrat, you can see the support they have for Obama. But nationally, it’s the same crowd who show their illogical support for him. The silence from the middle of the road democrats is startling in the pure absence anything, either support or condemnation. It makes me think that they truly are so embarrassed about having voted for him, thinking he was going to do one thing, and then taking a hard left turn into socialism. I have no sympathy for them, and would rather not hear from them ever again. * Economically Illiterate Domestic Policies

is the backbone of the Economy.
It is a matter of competency, leadership, fiscal responsibility and prudence. The Nation does not need to be ‘revisioned” and the Constitution does not need to be meddled with. Those are my concerns. The Commerce Clause and General Welfare Clauses have been brutally abused for decades and the current Regime continues to abuse them. Neither are a Blank Check for Federal Meddling in the States business.
The American public is vested in both MEDICARE and Social Security. Despite the fact that successive Administrations have not acted to guarantee solvency, as POTUS, the Economy, Wars, Social Security and Medicare are under His watch. Keeping those ‘promises made’ is within his pay grade and job description.
There are Foreign Policy and National Defense issues that are very obvious as well but I can write a book on those and won’t do it here.
