Obama is NOT my President.

Upland game hunting starts at sunrise.

Obama: Guess saturation is same as a surge. Did’nt work for me. I saturtated myself all over the world in every media available, be it news print, TV, internet, Vids, in every corner of this planet, blah, blah, blah…… So I guess surge may not work! I “surged Myself and my wife” since January and look where it has gotten Me. “I mean us”. My numbers are down because the horrid right wing media pick on me for every do-gooder-deed I do to help myself, er, I mean this country. So I think we can agree, surge is not a good policy.

McCrystal: It’s not about you. It is about our devoted troops in Afghanistan and the job they are devoted to.

He said he’d bring the games to town,

Chain of Command Mike you should know that. POTUS>SOD>JCOS>COS>TC..CC No end run arounds

@John ryan said:“No end run arounds” Sorry John Ryan, but what you said is JUST NOT TRUE. Either you are lying or you are stupid. Third possibility: you are a stupid liar.

Bush met with his generals all the time. And they respected him all the more for doing so. Obviously Obama has other priorties. Like seeing how many times he can use the pronoun “I” in a speech.

I am appalled about this story. General McChrystal had to GO TO OBAMA to ask him what he’d already asked him back on August 30th, a month and a half ago??? My first thought was that President Bush would’ve GONE TO THE GENERAL, not vice versa. I know allegedly that BO flew the General to Denmark at BO’s request, but I think he did it to cover his own behind, as usual. But, then again, President Bush would’ve already responded!! AND, by the way, he wouldn’t have flown (on our tax dollars) to Denmark solely to petition for the Summer Olympics to be held in Crawford, Texas, do ya think?!! (rant over).

@SoCal Chris: Right as usual. This was nothing more than a brief photo op. 25 minutes is hardly enough time for the quickie tour of Air Force One, hello and goodbye. And any serious discussion time was no doubt gobbled by the the narcissist in Chief talking about himself.

The basic fact is that McChrystal made his recommendation A MONTH AGO and it’s still sitting on Obama’s desk.

No photo op can alter the reality that Obama is not taking decisive and swift action on this or any other vital national security issue.

@Mike’s America:
Yes, you are right. It was August 30th, wasn’t it? So, just about a month ago. Guess it feels like at least a month and a half!! 😉 It makes me pretty angry, to tell you the truth! But, then again, what about this Administration doesn’t make me angry? Grmmpf. Oy vay.

@ Mike’s America

Wait Mike, not so fast. John Ryan’s correct; there is a chain of command. Let me see; when I was in the Air Force, did my commander need to go through my First Sgt. then my supervisor to talk to me…NO! He was the friggin’ commander, he could talk to anyone in his command any damn time he wanted.

Since this is multiple choice, I’m going with the third answer: John Ryan is a stupid liar.

All this talk of chain of command – the follow-up to the revelation that the commander on the ground in Afghanistan has not been queried directly by the President should have been something like this:

60 minutes: “So, Mr. President, you have not talked directly with the general you appointed to run the “war of necessity”. Have you been in frequent consultation with his commander, Gen. Petraeus, at CENTCOM? Have you been asking for in-progress reports about what is said to be an immediate request to increase American troop levels? Have you asked your NATO counterparts if they will be contributing more troops? Britain has troops and even Denmark has a small contingent that actually fight, but some of other NATO forces don’t engage the enemy, have you talked to them about…?”

Obama: “Uh. I’m going to Denmark. Oprah’s going too.”

I think reality has caught up to Obama and he has come to the point where he’ll have to make a decision that will surely anger his own base or undercut what little credibility he has left with the rest of the country after running his mouth during the campaign about ramping up troop levels in Afghanistan and “restoring” relations with our allies on matters like NATO and its poor performance against the Taliban.
