Iran Congratulates Obama – First Time Ever Since 1979

Loading

Now this is the change we need…..right?

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday congratulated Barack Obama on his election win — the first time an Iranian leader has offered such wishes to a U.S. president-elect since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Ahmadinejad sent a message to Obama in which he congratulated the Democrat on “attracting the majority of voters in the election.”

In the message, Ahmadinejad also said he hopes Obama will “use the opportunity to serve the (American) people and leave a good name for history” during his term in office.

Now we can all rest easy upon knowing that the man who wants Israel wiped off the face of the earth, who is close to gaining a nuclear weapon, and is a threat to the entire middle east and the world approves of Obama.

Remember….no preconditions!

And hey, how bout that stock market!

Hopes that Obama’s election on Tuesday would restore confidence on the battered financial markets were swiftly dashed as markets in Asia, Europe and the United States all suffered losses.

Down close to a 1000 and there is more to come folks, but at least the lib’s now feel patriotic:

Barack Obama’s presidential win held a poignant significance for liberal Seattleites: This is their America, too.

The feeling was evident in jubilant partying in the streets, in quiet moments of reflection and in blossoms of red, white and blue.

With newfound patriotism, Seattleites want to wave the flag, hang it from their homes and stick it on their cars.

“The thing that’s kind of astounding to me is I never ever would have cared to own a flag,” said Rosemary Garner, 42. “This is the first day in my life I actually feel this funny sense of pride about my country. It’s a very foreign feeling, but it’s a good one.”

Lovely. I herd Bush (just herd maybe you can confirm) gave Israel five F-14s.

As to the stock market, whoever thought him becoming president would fix it, well that person has def. been eating led paint chips while sitting under power line. I mean really, he plans on bringing back Capital Gains and on top of that raise Taxes and enforce medial on corporations, big & small business a like. If ever a President was wrong for economy it would be now.

Sorry for the lack of flow, i just woke up.

I don’t know what’s scarier, to do what Iran did or what Russia did.

Speaking within hours of Barack Obama’s election, Mr Medvedev announced that Russia would base Iskander missiles in its Baltic exclave of Kaliningrad – the former German city – next to the border with Poland.

Taking advantage of the world’s attention on the US elections, Mr Medvedev also cancelled plans to withdraw three intercontinental ballistic missile regiments from western Russia by 2010.

The President failed to congratulate Mr Obama or even to mention him by name during the 85-minute address televised live across Russia.

In a criticism directed at the US, Mr Medvedev said: “Mechanisms must be created to block mistaken, egotistical and sometimes simply dangerous decisions of certain members of the international community.” He accused the West of seeking to encircle Russia and blamed the US for encouraging Georgia’s “barbaric aggression” in the war over South Ossetia in August. He also gave warning that Russia would “not back down in the Caucasus”.

That Rosemary Garner quote:

This is the first day in my life I actually feel this funny sense of pride about my country. It’s a very foreign feeling, but it’s a good one.”

Hummm… where have I heard something like that before??

Ob’s wife “Im finally proud of my Country”

BOOOOO!!!!!

I been proud since the day i was born. To have the honor of saying I was born in (A)merica.

Here you go Fit Fit, I changed it just for you.

I been proud since the day i was born. To have the honor of saying I was born in america.

Not proud enough to captilize America apparently… live by the gotcha, die by the gotcha.

Fit fit, you’re such a tool. Try typing anything out on a cell phone. Capitalization is the least of my priorities at the moment.

Focus on the message not the display.

Fit fit, your such a tool.

You’re right, I’m just yanking your chain. I’ve had my share of typos…

Eh, don’t mention it. I have TERRIBLE grammar. I just thought it shitty that you would point that out when I’m saying how I’m proud to be American. I’ll make every effort now to “get it right” just for you. 🙂

Love the lesson on the bottom though.

Custer, Israel doesn’t need F14 , Iran will leave Israel alone. They will not make any military manuver . Iran respect Obama so they won’t. That What Obama is for , for making peace.

@brandon alan scofield:

That’s a funny one right there.

Brandon alan scofield, are you on LSD? Or what?

Israel ‘will attack Iran’ before new US president sworn in, John Bolton predicts

John Bolton, the former American ambassador to the United Nations, has predicted that Israel could attack Iran after the November presidential election but before George W Bush’s successor is sworn in.

[…]

Israel, however, still had a determination to prevent a nuclear Iran, he argued. The “optimal window” for strikes would be between the November 4 election and the inauguration on January 20, 2009.

[…]

William Kristol, a prominent neo-conservative, told Fox News on Sunday that an Obama victory could prompt Mr Bush to launch attacks against Iran. “If the president thought John McCain was going to be the next president, he would think it more appropriate to let the next president make that decision than do it on his way out,” he said.

Don’t be too hard on Brandon, Craig. Afterall, he’s having a hard time thinking with that hook, line, sinker bait he swallowed with Obama.

Anyone with a modicum of sense knows that no matter who the POTUS is, Iran will never back off of threatening Israel as long as they exist.

But time will take care of the Brandon’s of the world. After reality finally sets in, then we’ll all have to find a way to make more money in an downturn economy to send funds for psychological welfare care to Indonesia under a President Obama “take care of the world” policies.

Other than that, you must might as well ask Curt to put the FA flyswatters on order from the FA store. It’s the only cure for the site pests, ya know.

Iran would have to be some kind of stupid to attack Israel in a conventional war. What’s more, even if their fanatic techno-creeps get their heads out of their butts long enough to manage to build a rudimentary atomic bomb, deployment of it in an attack would be the last thing they ever did. Israel has Neutron bombs: A neutron bomb creates a much larger death-zone that kills the life forms, but leaves most of their stuff relatively intact.

That meathead above doesn’t even deserve a response … his “blog” looks like he’s prepping for affiliate market BS to me. (Pushing credit card offers will soon follow). We all need more credit card offers. You know … offers from that industry (as Dick Morris says) that Fleeced us and stand to heat up the financial crisis.

Anyway, Iran is run by an idealogue, he will do what they want and the repercussion isn’t as much a priority to them. He just needs Obama to not say anything and not prevent him. The world is on fire if you haven’t noticed … and signing “kumbaya” to the world is just going to give our aggressors more nerve.

Things will be heating up soon in the Middle East because as soon as Isreal realizes that America will no longer be there to shield them politically … I don’t see Isreal taking crap and waiting for things to happen. Israel desires to defend herself, we just stand in her way all the time.

The Middle East is like a large can of gasoline and everyone around it is flicking their bic lighters.

Why do you think the US is there anyways? IMO, it’s more for military presence than anything else … but I’m not ashamed of that like our liberal brothers are.

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”
~Edmund Burke

If you haven’t seen this, it’s not confirmed or rejected, but it is startling if it’s true …

Oh, and it’s not just us wacko conservatives BTW …

Then Israel warned Obama last night that his claim that he was ready to open talks with Iran could be seen in the Middle East as a sign of weakness.

Anybody else sense a Carter’esque de’javu moment on the horizon? Let’s flash ahead in time to 3.5 years from now… Obama is struggling to decide whether more sanctions will work on an Iran that has already attempted and failed to attack Israel with nukes. Thanks in part to Patriot Missile batteries provided by the previous Bush administration and to Isreali alert aircraft intercepts of (former Soviet block) incoming Iranian bomber aircraft. Israel has had enough and is preparing an all out pre-emptive attack. Democratic Iraq is highly concerned over their airspace being violated from both combative nations after several Iran missiles, failing to reach their intended targets, have fallen on their own country, causing massive devastation and death. Israel refuses to talk with the U.S. due to the current administration’s failure to take their concerns seriously and intervene. Obama considers suspending his re-election campaign to travel to Iran and try to talk some sense into Ahmadinejad.

Meanwhile, on the RNC presidential stump, New Reagan Conservative candidate Sarah Palin pushes for a hard line response. In typical Reagan fashion she promises that her administration will join with Israel and bomb Iran back to the stone age should they persist in their Jihad. Tired of a deep recession of double-digit annual inflation rates, double-digit unemployment, $10 per gallon gasoline costs, long gasoline rationing lines, crippling taxes, out-of-control spending, an economy in shambles, and domestic terrorist actions, Palin wins in a landslide. This despite the media’s best efforts and a highly corrupt election process.

Immediately after Sarah takes her oath of office, she places our military on full alert to prepare for deployment to pre-staging areas for an Iran invasion. In anticipation of several European NATO alliance countries refusal to allow overfly, two carrier groups are sent out to predetermined positions in the Atlantic for aircraft refueling.

Within a week, Iran turns to the U.N. to request their aid in pursuing peace talks with the U.S. and Israel. U.N. Secretary General Odingo of Kenya blasts the new administration’s refusal to meet with him in the press. When approached for comment, Palin outrageously suggests “It’s about time the U.N. consider relocating to another host country” and pledges full U.S. support to aid them in such a transition.

Well played!

An administration plan to open a “U.S.-interests section” in the Swiss Embassy in Tehran has been endorsed by career State Department officials and has won the backing of some senior policymakers inside the White House, according to administration officials who asked not to be identified talking about sensitive matters. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice favors the move but is reviewing details before making a final recommendation to the president.

But will it happen?
