Color Me “Amazed!”

Major papers are endorsing “The One”:

LATimes:

we have witnessed eight years of executive branch power grabs and erosion of civil liberties; we are still recovering from a murderous attack by terrorists on our own soil and still struggling with how best to prevent a recurrence.

We need a leader who demonstrates thoughtful calm and grace under pressure, one not prone to volatile gesture or capricious pronouncement. We need a leader well-grounded in the intellectual and legal foundations of American freedom. Yet we ask that the same person also possess the spark and passion to inspire the best within us: creativity, generosity and a fierce defense of justice and liberty.

The Times without hesitation endorses Barack Obama for president.

Our nation has never before had a candidate like Obama, a man born in the 1960s, of black African and white heritage, raised and educated abroad as well as in the United States, and bringing with him a personal narrative that encompasses much of the American story but that, until now, has been reflected in little of its elected leadership. The excitement of Obama’s early campaign was amplified by that newness. But as the presidential race draws to its conclusion, it is Obama’s character and temperament that come to the fore. It is his steadiness. His maturity.

These are qualities American leadership has sorely lacked for close to a decade. The U.S. Constitution, more than two centuries old, now offers the world one of its more mature and certainly most stable governments, but our political culture is still struggling to shake off a brash and unseemly adolescence. In George W. Bush, the executive branch turned its back on an adult role in the nation and the world and retreated into self-absorbed unilateralism.

The Washington Post:

Mr. Obama is a man of supple intelligence, with a nuanced grasp of complex issues and evident skill at conciliation and consensus-building. At home, we believe, he would respond to the economic crisis with a healthy respect for markets tempered by justified dismay over rising inequality and an understanding of the need for focused regulation. Abroad, the best evidence suggests that he would seek to maintain U.S. leadership and engagement, continue the fight against terrorists, and wage vigorous diplomacy on behalf of U.S. values and interests. Mr. Obama has the potential to become a great president. Given the enormous problems he would confront from his first day in office, and the damage wrought over the past eight years, we would settle for very good.

Surprise, surprise.

More to come…

Who knew?

It sad when the media believes their own disgusting lies about the past 8 years. Not surprising, just sad.

Yep, I see.. I see the hateful comments of the leftists below the article also. Never heard of the guy though. Seems to believe Obama’s and the left’s lies readily enough.

Sorry, I will not vote for Obama no matter what you or other leftists say and as I and others have said, it is not about race, it is about his associations, and more importantly, ideas.

I do not endorse Obama and my endorsement is all that matters to me. I do not approve much of McCain, but my vote is a vote against the left, against thier lies, against their lemmings, against the lying media, against Obama’s CNSF, against Obama’s threatening any and all critics, against ANSWER/ACT/WWP/et al, against Obama’s financial advisors from Freddy and Fanny, against corrupt Chicago politics, against their socialism (nationalist and otherwise) and much more.

As I said months ago Fit, with the exception of a conservative Palin, no matter who wins the election, the left comes out ahead. Either you get McCain who will “reach across” like Bush has repeatedly and enact the left’s social programs (and then the left accuses the right of spending too much and will still demonize McCain), or you get Obama who will go whole hog holistic socialist and use every means to silence dissent and promote radicle agendas.

You win no matter what in a sense. Unless Word is correct and the Dems do as little as President and congressional majority as they have as just congressional majority since 06. I doubt they will though.

America, however, loses. And I doubt you will understand that until it is too late.

Actually, this is the first time the LA Times has endorsed a Democrat for President, same for the Chicago Tribune. Seven papers so far that endorsed Bush in 2004 have endorsed Obama.

That being said, I cannot imagine how a newspaper endorsement would ever affect anyones vote…

Call me skeptical, but there is no coincidence here. How convenient the downfall of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, right after McCain showed 9 points gains in the polls after the Republican’s convention with Sarah Palin. What a better time… no?

Since we know that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac sleeps in he same bed with the Democrats, I am sure that there is no coincidence here. This was planned by the leftist’s bums who choose that particular time, knowing that the ignorant population would all place the blame on Bush and the Republicans. And they where right, since then, Obama leads.

Not only did Obama and his alike cause this financial crisis in the States, but they also created a financial crisis throughout the World. That was their plan: Kill capitalism. And they are succeeding, unless Americans wakes-up before the election.

They think Obama is smart? How did they measure this? How did they measure this up against the real players Reid and Pelosi? Without those two, Obama can’t get anywhere on the domestic front. Chances are he will be the one that signs the checks, but he won’t be the one filling out the rest of the check. He sided with them 98% of the time. Lets say all his plans are written up and signed in the first 30-100 days, then what? Congress isn’t just going to stop doing what they are doing. Obama also has to do something. Liberal creep is going to happen, because liberals are always complaining about something.

Major liberal newspapers? Surprise, surprise. But they’ve been in the tank for Obama all along. Too bad the liberal newspapers have not been successful at convincing the large majority of voters that Obama should be elected. Instead Obama has spent millions upon millions with no result at all.

Obama spoke in Germany to thousands, but did anyone mention that most of his German audience did not speak English? I guess Obama just doesn’t matter.

There are now two lawsuits to force Obama to divulge the records of his birth; his qualifications to even run for president. And, whereas this didn’t matter during the primary elections (the Constitution is relevant only concerning the general election), it does now.

2nd lawsuit challenges Obama’s citizenship
Man demands state verify birth records or remove senator from ballots

Note: It is incumbent upon ALL Secretaries of State in all of the United States to BOTH accurately verify Voters AND candidates. Barack Hussein Obama has sealed his “Hawaiian” birth records and also records in Kenya.

Failure to verify and certify qualification for ALL candidates in a general election by any Secretary of State may be a cause of action (dereliction of duty) and criminal charges may be filed.

I thought they already had. The way they covered both campaigns had me fooled, huh?
