There needs to be a definition of protesting and rioting. Protests are peaceful or should be. Rioting is individuals taking advantage of a disruption of law enforcement to loot and engage in violent acts. There needs to be severe penalties for rioting individuals. Those penalties must be clearly stated and publicized. There can be no mercy when prosecuting rioters. In a riot where there is police injured, they needs to be mandatory sentences. If something like this is not done, the 6s rioting will become superficial to what is to come.
