“And why does anyone owe Chris Matthews an explanation, either way?”
“I assume he is also a voter.”

LOL. And you accuse ME of obfuscation?
Chris Matthews isn’t ACTING as a private citizen/voter. He’s ACTING just like Rush Limbaugh is ACTING, because they’re ACTORS. They’re both ENTERTAINERS.
You’ve made the point before that what MSNBC does isn’t “News Reporting,” so why are you trying to put Matthews up on a “concerned-citizen” pedestal now?

“American voters have a right to know what the people they are voting for stand for”?
Where’s it say that?
Who is responsible for delivering on that “right”?
Is it the OTHER party’s responsibility to point out the flaws of the OPPOSING party?
Again, where’s it say that?
Or is it the candidate’s responsibility to self-confess his OWN flaws?
Does it say that ANYWHERE?
The voters have a right to vote.
And BOTH parties fill the voters’ heads with as many lies as they have money to pay for, come what may.
They have that right.
Remember all of that crap that y’all spewed about the media conspiracy unfairly influencing the election/ costing Romney the loss?
Where were the voters’ rights THEN?

You’re a bold faced liar. I don’t believe I have ever even mentioned MSNBC on this board in any respect. Why do you feel the need to make crap up?

Remember all of that crap that y’all spewed about the media conspiracy unfairly influencing the election/ costing Romney the loss?

Nope. Because that is another thing I never said.

You are a pathetic, disgusting liar who makes crap up to try to present an argument. What a sorry little weasel you are.

@George Wells: Party that opposes gay rights

Name one? Are you living in Iran? There’s no main stream party in America that opposes giving gays the same rights hetros get. Now if you believe a civil right is redefining what was for five plus milleniums known as marriage, that’s a bastardization of ‘civil rights’ that would make Webster cringe. IIRC all Obama and the democrat controlled congress had to do was recognize domestic partnerships at the federal level to receive the same results.

Oh, you mean that 5000-year-old “institution” that considered women to be men’s “property” and that considered a “marriage” to validly include ANY number of wives? Or maybe you mean that 5000-year-old “institution” that forbade interracial marriage?
The “institution” you revere so much was NEVER free from its tendency to evolve over time. There has never been a single, constant standard of marriage that lasted unchanged for 5000 years. The “bastardization” of marriage that you whine so pathetically over is nothing more than the same change that has occurred repeatedly throughout history as the concept of marriage has evolved. Be grateful that you can’t still club your selected mate and drag her into your cave.

Someone has fed you a line of $hit.

You cannot refuse to serve Blacks at the local diner, but you CAN refuse to serve gays.
You cannot exclude blacks, women or Jews from a country club, but you CAN exclude gays.
You cannot refuse to rent an apartment to a black man, a single woman or an elderly atheist, but you CAN refuse to rent an apartment to a gay person.

Dammed near everyone is covered by one sort of anti-discrimination legislation or another… EXCEPT GAYS.
For some strange reason, the American public THINKS gays are protected from discrimination, but they are wrong.
Employers are usually held to observing the anti-discrimination laws of the state where their operations are located, and these laws outlaw discrimination based upon age, gender, race, religion, and so on and so on, but in the majority of states, discrimination based upon sexual orientation is NOT prohibited.

Let me make this as clear as possible: The laws that prohibit just about every stripe of discrimination imaginable don’t apply to gays.

The GOP (“Republicans”) has consistently fought efforts to allow gay people to receive the same rights that everyone else receives.
The GOP refuses to extend anti-discrimination protections that the rest of the population have – rights that “heteros” have – to gays.

Your stupidity is not the result of your failure to be exposed to the truth, but rather your desire to ignore it.
