Another $17 trillion surprise found in Obamacare

Loading

Senate Republican staffers continue to look though the 2010 Obamacare law to see what’s in it, and their latest discovery is a massive $17 trillion funding gap.

“The more we learn about the bill, the more we learn it is even more unaffordable than was suspected,” said Ala. Sen. Jeff Sessions, the Republican’s budget chief in the Senate.

“The bill has to be removed from the books because we don’t have the money,” he said.

The hidden shortfall between new Obamacare spending and new Obamacare taxes was revealed just after Supreme Court judges grilled the law’s supporters about its compliance with the constitution’s limits on government activity. If the judges don’t strike down the law, Obamacare will force taxpayers find another $17 trillion to pay for Obamacare’s spending.

The $17 trillion in extra promises was revealed by an analysis of the law’s long-term requirements. The additional obligations, when combined with existing Medicare and Medicaid funding shortfalls, leaves taxpayers on the hook for an extra $82 trillion over the next 75 years.

The federal government already owes $15 trillion in debt, including $5 trillion in funds borrowed during Obama’s term.

That $82 billion in unfunded future expenses is more more than five years of wealth generated by the United States, which now produces just over $15 trillion of value per year.

The $82 trillion funding gap is equal to 28 years of the the current federal budget, which was $3.36 trillion for 2011.

The new $17 trillion funding gap is five times the current federal budget.

That’s why Pelosi said you have to pass it to find out what’s in it!! I find it more than interesting that the first word of the bill is “Affordable”. Biggest lie 0-bama ever told and that’s really saying something!!

I came away from conversation with left-wing activists in Washington DC some years ago with the understanding from them that if they and the Democratic Party ever achieved their long-term goal of nationalized health care it would be as a camouflaged act of malice against the American people.

OH MY, OH MY, THIS IS UN-AMERICAN FOR SURE,
IT SEEMS THAT THINGS LIKE THAT ARE SO AWFUL
THEY STAND OUT, AS SOON AS THE RESEARCHER START TO READ IN THE 2000 SOME PILE OF PAPER, NO WANDER PELOSI SAID THEY HAVE TO PASS IT BEFORE READING IT,
THEY HAVE A POOR JUDGEMENT OF THE PEOPLE, THEY THINK THEY ARE BETTER THAN THE REGULAR CITIZENS, THEY ARE LIARS

@ilovebeeswarzone: This is the basic foundation of Socialism. People aren’t smart enough to make decisions for themselves and therefore mother government must do it for them. Well said!!

One thing I have found is that the democrats like to name their bills the opposite of what they really are, or something not even close to what they are. You usually have to read way into the bill before you find the truth of the bill.

I was one of the sheep being let to slaughter until I started listening to talk radio. I wasn’t for or against anything, and figured the politicians knew what was best for the country or they wouldn’t be in office. I was one of those frogs sitting in a pan of slowly heating water.

@Smorgasbord: Well said. When it comes to government the less intrusion the better the bargain to the American tax payer. Sadly with 0-bama the American tax payer has been reduced significantly. See unemployment, oh and yes the cost is more due to this fact. 0-bama has failed to create jobs as he promised or should say as he lied to get elected. He didn’t fail on how much taxpayer dollars he has wasted on union votes, green garbage and scandals, and massive government expansion. If this clown runs on his record he will be defeated. Sadly the MSM will support his strategy of distort, deceive, and distract. Just think about all the issues that have come up in the past few months. All the issues of lesser importance and greater controversy are getting more attention. The real issues like jobs, our economy, and our national debt do NOT get discussed. Republicans must not be distracted from the real issues and, as 0-bama would say, “focus like a laser beam” on the real shovel ready issues.

Common Sense
hi,
you gave me the thought to copy that last sentence, and if you don’t mind
I will love to use it, on my demolition long diatribe when I see it can fit in, and I’ll USE the 3 important issues you mentioned on it.
bye

@ilovebeeswarzone: I would be honored to have you use any content you would believe useful. Thanks.

green garbage

I like that. That should be the conservative catch phrase.

Republicans must not be distracted from the real issues and….

As I have mentioned before, there are no separate political parties any more.
