Sheryl Sandberg, author of Lean In and Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, has a line in her book that states “I want every little girl who’s told she’s bossy to be told instead that she has leadership skills.” As you have probably heard by now, her Lean In organization and the Girl Scouts of America… Read more »

The radical left is at it again, bringing their extremist agenda against women, and this time it’s coming to one of my local fights. I wrote a while back about how the left thinks that spreading disease among women and increasing their dependence on government equates empowerment, and how leftists think that women lack the intelligence to… Read more »
The trappers north of the Peace River knew each other fairly well, even if we never met. You knew men by their reputations. The traplines were huge and you rarely saw anyone during the winter, except for neighboring trappers. A few were teenagers like myself and others were in their eighties and there were many… Read more »
As I hear and read the news and pronouncements from the president and the political elite these days, I cannot help but to wonder about our country’s prospects. It is not as if I have lost faith in the American people, for I have not, is just that I am no longer sure that the… Read more »
July 12, 1860 An excerpt from the Oregon Trail Journal of Sable Murphree: : My beloved Caleb came down with the Cholera two nights ago; I fear he will die in a few hours. He fights bravely to hang on, but on one seems to survive this dreadful disease and he is suffering horribly. A… Read more »
It’s hard to upstage Carlos Danger, but this guy did it with style.
The Voyage of Discovery, led by Lewis and Clark in 1803, took three years to travel to the West Coast and back. There was a desire to shorten the time for continental travel and mail delivery; the stage coach was the logical choice, but the logistics were almost overwhelming. There would need to be blacksmiths, harness makers, drivers and conductors, and many way stations. Horse feed was an overwhelming problem; horses need a minimum thirty pounds of forage a day to maintain their health. When hundreds or thousands of horses are using the same limited pasture, the natural graze begins to disappear. Yet the relentless stream of coaches continued to arrive at way stations, looking for fresh well-fed horses and possibly a hot meal.
Kim Kardashian and the classless base antics of her family are of little concern for most people with an IQ over two digits. However, she felt a measure of compassion for the Israelis and the barrage of rockets they are enduring from the gallant Palestinian homicidal maniacs. The same ones President Obama champions as righteous people, but it was this faint glimmer of humanity that brought out the base hatred of the Left, and Kim Kardashian was forced to realize the consequences of deviating from the party line.
She had the audacity to tweet:
Praying for everyone in Israel
Personally, I don’t see how every woman is not insulted at how condescending and intellectually shallow the efforts to target their vote have been. Apparently objecting to paying for your abortions or birth control is the equivalent of a ban to this administration. No word if the lefties are ready to self identify as Prohibitionists for failing to pick up my bar tab.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told American women she is tired of listening to them whine; actually, she said she can’t stand them to hear them “whining.” If they had the wherewithal to marry a president, they could finagle jobs like Senator of New York and Secretary of State. Oh, but they are intent on making bad choices in life and then whining about those same bad choices.
Hillary knows about bad choices, as Secretary of State it is her responsibility for security for diplomatic posts like Benghazi. That whole thing went to Hell in a hand basket, but you don’t hear her complaining. Hell no, it is full speed ahead to the next disaster.
