Bush To Brief The Leakers

Loading

Well according to this report:

The White House, in an abrupt reversal, has agreed to let the full Senate and House of Representatives intelligence committees review President George W. Bush’s domestic spying program (No bias here huh?), lawmakers said on Tuesday.

We can now look forward to more leaks and more spinning from the press. Why you ask? Well look who is on these committee’s: (via Big Lizards)

Sen. Jay Rockefeller (WV), the ranking member, who kept a copy of his letter objecting to the NSA al-Qaeda intercept program in the committee safe for “future use;”

Sen. Carl Levin (MI), who accused the NSA of “tap[ping] the wires and the phones of American citizens without any court oversight;”

Sen. Russell Feingold (WI), radical leftist who was the only US senator to vote against the USA Patriot Act;

Rep. Alcee L. Hastings (FL), impeached and removed from his federal judgeship in 1989 for corruption and perjury;

Sen. Chuck Hagel (NE), who joined the Democrats in filibustering against the USA Patriot Act;

Sen. Saxby Chambliss (GA), who objected to Michael Hayden heading up the CIA because Hayden is in the military;

I mean come on. They might as well put some TV camera’s in the room and let Dan Rather host the damn thing with this list of treasonous dummies.

But…..what better way to keep this on the front burner throughout the summer? I mean the more these lefties bitch the better the Republicans look. Everyone and their mother knows the Democrats could give a damn about protecting this country. They would rather a terrorist blow something up in Houston rather then the NSA gather a person’s calling history.

Another good reason for this is that when Hayden is questioned about the programs he can tell them that they have already been briefed on the matter at hand.

I just hope he knows what he is doing giving the likes of Rockefeller this kind of information. We all remember what he did when he gave our war plans to the enemy.

I cannot be the only American wondering about the approx 30% that polled as against the NSA’s collecting the dots.
If we assume that 1/3 of these are actually die-hard libertarians, we are still left with 20% of the population, who are very worried about the NSA having the records of phone calls, internet use.
Here’s my list for that 20%:
– drug buyers and sellers
– LSM reporters talking to leakers
(see ABC story on National Security Letters served at MacsMind)
– LSMers talking to terrorists
(Sincerely hope that Mrs. Jamie Ruben has been served with a NS letter – she’s been AWOL from CNN for a while)
– people working off the books
– people employing people off the books including illegal aliens
– those with outstanding warrents
– those trying to avoid subpeonas
– scofflaws for minor to major items such as non payment of child support
– stalkers, harrassers
– callers of 900 sex lines
– operators of “escort” services, call girl/boy rings and other sex traders
– viewers of porn sites
– pedophiles involved in kiddie porn
– those cheating on spouses
– con artists working out of boiler rooms
– fraudulent charity operations
– gays not out of the closet
– Kos & DU idiots who talk about
assasinating GW
– white supremacy groups
– black supremacy groups
– gang members
– income tax evaders
Sure I missed a few of those who probably would be concerned about the NSA having their calling patterns.
They should be proud to join the targets of the NSA:
– Islamic Jihadis planning attacks on America.
Nice crowd of folks.
