There’s little doubt who leaked the Flynn/Kislyak transcript. A timeline

Obama Administration Approved of Flynn's Calls to Russia ...

Really, there is no doubt. Let’s look at the timeline. There are some truly key dates, January 5 and 12 being two of them. Here we go:

2014:

Obama fires Flynn because Flynn knew Obama was cooking intelligence.

2015:

Obama begins (or continues) surveilling Flynn

President Barack Obama’s Treasury Department regularly surveilled retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn’s financial records and transactions beginning in December 2015 and well into 2017, before, during and after when he served at the White House as President Donald Trump’s National Security Director, a former senior Treasury Department official, and veteran of the intelligence community, told the Star Newspapers.

April 2016

Flynn’s top secret clearance is renewed (this is very important)

August 2016

Crossfire Razor investigation is opened (Flynn)

Sept. 2, 2016

FBI officials Lisa Page and Peter Strzok text that “[President Obama] wants to know everything we’re doing.”

Nov. 17, 2016:

President-elect Trump offers Flynn White House post as national security adviser

Nov. 30 – Dec. 28, 2016

Two dozen Obama administration officials make requests to unmask the name of National Security Adviser designee Flynn, who was “incidentally” captured by intel surveillance. The officials include: U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and CIA Director John Brennan.

Fred Fleitz:

Flynn was targeted for unmasking at least two weeks before the Dec. 29 phone call. …  This may indicate Flynn and other Trump transition officials were being targeted for unmasking as part of a fishing expedition to find dirt on them to undermine Trump’s presidency.

It’s almost as though the obama team knew that Kislyak was going to call Flynn. Remember how Obama told US cyber command to stand down from retaliating against the Russians? Make you wonder?

Dec. 28, 2016:

Kislyak calls Flynn about new sanctions that would not have been implemented had Hillary won the election.

Dec. 29, 2016:

K.T. McFarland, according to later CBS confirmation, while at Mar-a-Lago and with other top officials including Reince Priebus, Kellyanne Conway, Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon, tells Flynn to communicate to Kislyak about the U.S. sanctions. Flynn calls Kislyak.

Jan. 4, 2017

Just as the Flynn investigation was to close due to lack of negative information, Strzok says hold the phone on that.

Jan. 5, 2017

The infamous meeting in the Oval Office. Acting AG Sally Yates learns that Obama knew all about the Flynn-Kislyak phone call.

On January 5, 2017, Yates attended an Oval Office meeting with then-FBI Director James Comey, then-Vice President Joe Biden, then-CIA Director John Brennan, and then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, according to the newly declassified documents, including an FD-302 FBI witness report. They were discussing Russian election interference, along with national security adviser Susan Rice and other members of the national security council.

After the briefing, Obama asked Yates and Comey to “stay behind,” and said he had “learned of the information about Flynn” and his conversation with Russia’s ambassador about sanctions. Obama “specified that he did not want any additional information on the matter, but was seeking information on whether the White House should be treating Flynn any differently, given the information.”

Jan. 6, 2017

Comey meets with Trump to let Trump know Comey has dirt on Trump. In each and every meeting with Trump Comey took lengthy notes because in reality Trump was the target of his investigation.

Jan. 10, 2017

CNN and Buzzfeed publish the Russian disinformation dossier.

Jan. 12, 2017

On Thursday, the Obama administration finalized new rules that allow the National Security Agency to share information it gleans from its vast international surveillance apparatus with the 16 other agencies that make up the U.S. intelligence community.

Jan. 12, 2017

WaPo’s David Ignatius publishes the leak about phone calls between Flynn and Kislyak. The leak becomes the justification to ambush Flynn.

The very next day…

Jan. 13, 2017

Jan. 24, 2107

Later the same day…

Jan. 24, 2017: Comey sends the goons to interview Flynn

“Once we became aware”

Strzok and Pientka interview Flynn. They allegedly draft a 302 which after several edits and rewrites has been disappeared.

Jan. 25, 2017:

Another post-election media freakout died quietly this week as the FBI said it found no evidence of wrongdoing in National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s contacts with the Russian ambassador.

That was true but the fix was already in.

Feb. 16, 2017:

The Pentagon claims it has no record of Flynn’s visit to Russia in late 2015, but Flynn was briefed by the DIA before and after his trip. Further, Flynn’s security clearance was renewed well after that trip. This record apparently went the way of the 302.

Dec. 1, 2017

Flynn pleads guilty to lying to FBI

What the government (Van Grack) and Covington (Flynn’s law firm at the time- Eric Holder is a partner) concealed from the Court was this:

“The government has deliberately suppressed this evidence from the inception of this prosecution—knowing there was no crime by Mr. Flynn,” the filing reads. It claims that the head prosecutor on the case, Brandon Van Grack, made a “side deal” with Flynn’s former defense team to not prosecute Flynn’s son — despite threatening to Flynn that he would do so — in order to get Flynn to plead guilty.

Now there’s this and this

Pretty interesting when it’s unpacked.

There is only one person who had access to everything.

There’s only one person who could leak this information without fear of prosecution.

There’s only one person who had motive and who could create the opportunity.

There’s only one person who wanted to know everything.

Add to this McCabe in his book saying that Flynn’s call was recorded when made and then Obama’s Presidential Briefing Staff later told the FBI to go back and find it. That’s why Flynn’s Jan 4 call to Russia wasn’t unmasked. Obama told the FBI to go back and find it later. The call list has no unmasking requests for Flynn on Jan 4, the day of the call.

Flynn’s call wasn’t unmasked on Jan 4, the day of the call. He was unmasked on Dec 14 and 15 by multiple people, some who had nothing to do with national security. Now look into what Obama did on Dec 15 (allowing a certain law to pass w/o his signature) and think about why.

Today Atty Gen Barr said he would not even question, much less charge, either Biden or Obama based on anything released by the Durham probe!
What will every other bad guy say about his/her part in it?
“I was just following orders.”
They all walk.

@Nan G: That’s not quite what he said, read it more carefully. Your iteration is incomplete. I do agree Obama and Biden won’t get prosecuted, but no, the rest can’t just say they followed orders. By the way, attempting to prosecute either Biden or Obama before the election would lose the election for Trump.

A president can declassify anything they want. If it was released by a minion then it would still be be classified and a criminal act to release to the paper.
Interesting WaPo reported Flynn lied about talking about sanctions, https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/5633260-12-17-18-Redacted-Flynn-Interview-302.html#document/p1 do you see the word sanctions in this form…Bueller? BUELLER? BUELLER! anyone?
If sanctions were not asked about how could he lie about them?

To this day, transcripts of the Flynn-Kislyak telephone calls have never been released. If there’s nothing incriminating—if they would prove the calls were perfectly OK—why the hell are they still locked down?

Flynn and the Russian ambassador were discussing something that justifies the content being classified? That’s not their story, is it?

This is part of a pattern. Believe what we say, but we won’t let you see anything that would supposedly demonstrate the truth of it.

@Greg: Wait gregge the rock, where are Obama’s transcripts and real birth certificate printed with fonts correct for the date of birth?

If there’s nothing incriminating, why the hell are they still locked down?

@Greg: Because we don’t routinely expose confidential conversations. The leaks are left up to Democrats.

Obama should be doing a third term IN PRISON

@Meremortal: And why are so many unmasking Gen. Flynn at the same time? To draw the focus on them… and away from Obama.

@kitt:

A president can declassify anything they want. If it was released by a minion then it would still be be classified and a criminal act to release to the paper.

That’s true… if he declassifies it. He can’t just leak it.

Lt General Flynn was not masked on the December 29 call with Kisliyak. Fired deputy fbi director wrote in his book that the fbi was tasked with finished call. It was obama who requested the transcript. Lt General Flynn did not lie about sanctions because the fbi never asked him during the January 24 WH interview.

@Deplorable Me, #7:

Because we don’t routinely expose confidential conversations.

The Trump administration routinely classifies incriminating information.

When Michael Flynn talked with Putin’s Russian ambassador, he as yet had no official powers or authority as a representative of the U.S. government. There should have been no classified content in any of those five conversations. If there was, it would be a serious violation.

That’s one of two likely reasons why transcripts that would allegedly prove Flynn did nothing wrong remain locked down.

The second reason is that it wouldn’t only be Flynn who would be damaged if the details were revealed. It’s entirely possible that Flynn was secretly negotiating on behalf of the incoming Trump administration. The nature of that negotiation could very well be a missing piece of the Russian collusion puzzle. Who knows? It could even be the piece that separates collusion from unlawful conspiracy. That might be why it was so important that Flynn keep his mouth shut.

A crazy speculation? It could easily enough be ruled out. Release the transcripts.

Here’s common sense rule of thumb that generally applies in situations like this: People don’t tend to hide things that prove they’re innocent of wrongdoing.

This simple rule seems to have an unusually wide range of applications with respect to many questionable Trump activities, both personal and official. Any attempt to apply it is instantly described as a fishing expedition or a witch hunt, while enormous time, money, and energy is expended on blocking it by every means possible.

@Greg: greggie the rock, there is also a need to know as a reason for hiding something. What was the FBI need to know? They never read Flynn his rights, so he was not under investigation. greggie the rock, you are so ignorant!

What was the FBI need to know?

They were investigating the possibility of a covert, cooperative effort between people in the Trump campaign and representatives of the Russian Federation to put Donald Trump in the White House. That’s a fairly significant reason for needing to know.

When they asked Flynn about the telephone calls, he lied to them.

@Greg: greggie the rock, did you forget that the FBI said that he didn’t lie? When a comment you may consider a lie is not material, then it is not a lie as considered under US LAW. That is why The DOJ dismissed the case. I know a ROCK can not understand that, so keep making your insane comments so you can continue to show us how ignorant you are greggie the rock!

@Greg:

The Trump administration routinely classifies incriminating information.

That’s right. When scumbag liars like Schiff, Brennan, Clapper, et al keep lying when they’ve testified the facts, Trump exposes their lies. However, foreign diplomats have an expectation their conversations are confidential, unless they agree to reveal them.

People don’t tend to hide things that prove they’re innocent of wrongdoing.

So you admit why Schiff kept all those transcripts he KNEW proved he and all Democrats were lying

This is just pathetic.

@Greg: Yes, your defense of abuse of justice certainly is.

@Greg: Yet, as the facts prove, it was all fabricated. Imaginary.

Unless you are symptomatic, wearing a mask is pointless.
