If Franken stays, then Moore can stay too

democrats are falling all over themselves trying to excuse Al Franken’s sexual assault of Leann Tweeden an that includes one hillary clinton.

Hillary Clinton came to Sen. Al Franken’s defense on Friday during an interview for her new book, saying he should be praised for his “accountability” and willingness to apologize.

Speaking to WABC Radio’s Rita Cosby, the former Secretary of State instead pointed the finger at President Trump and embattled GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore — claiming they should be viewed as the real predators, and not Franken.

“Look at the contrast between Al Franken, accepting responsibility, apologizing, and Roy Moore and Donald Trump who have done neither,” Clinton said.

“[That] is the kind of accountability I’m talking about. I don’t hear that from Roy Moore or Donald Trump.”

There is a lesson there for Roy Moore. Whether or not he’s guilty, all he needed to do was apologize- and all would be forgiven. But wait a second- I don’t remember Bill Clinton apologizing to Kathleen Willey or Gennifer Flowers or Paula Jones. I do remember hillary’s war on women .  I do remember those women being “bimbos” and “sleazy” and “trailer park trash.”

I also remember Juanita Broaddrick. Bill Clinton never apologized for raping her but I don’t remember hillary clinton demanding that he did.

Al Franken has a history of letting his fingers do the walking:

But it’s not just the groping. There is more, and the left is not talking about it. Leeann Tweeden also leveled this accusation:

“He came at me and we did the line and he came at me and before you know it you get close and he just put his hand on the back of my head and he mashed his face against — it happened so fast — he mashed his lips against my face and stuck his tongue in my mouth so fast,” she said at a press event on Thursday. And all I can remember is that his lips were really wet and it was slimy and in my mind I called him Fish Lips the rest of the trip because that’s just what it reminded me of.”

The remarks from the left are nothing short of pathetic

“If Franken survives this, it’ll be because of his left hand in that photo,” Washington Post reporter Dave Weigel wrote on Twitter. “He’s not making full contact. He’s making a disgusting groping ‘joke,’ but holding back just a little.”

Talking Points Memo’s Josh Marshall similarly appeared to excuse Franken, calling it a “gross, offensive stunt” but insisting that Franken is “clearly not making contact with her body.”

The picture caught only a moment and that moment could easily have missed the prior or subsequent contact. Franken certainly made contact with Behar’s boob. But as I said, Franken did more than grope Tweeden. He forced himself on her- he committed sexual assault. He penetrated her. Orally counts too.

Sexual Assault Law and Legal Definition

Sexual assault refers to an assault of a sexual nature on another person. It can include a wide range of unwanted sexual contact such as rape, forced vaginal, anal or oral penetration, forced sexual intercourse, inappropriate touching, forced kissing, child molestation ,exhibitionism, voyeurism, obscene phone calls torture of a victim in a sexual manner etc. The actor causes submission of the victim by means that is reasonably calculated to cause submission against the victim’s will. Definitions of offences are primarily governed by state criminal laws, which vary by state. It is generally a felony.

Sexual assault

Sexual assault is a sexual act in which a person is coerced or physically forced to engage against their will, or non-consensual sexual touching of a person. Sexual assault is a form of sexual violence, and it includes rape (such as forced vaginal, anal or oral penetration or drug facilitated sexual assault), groping, child sexual abuse, or the torture of the person in a sexual manner.[1][2]

Franken still hasn’t owned up to the sexual assault. The bottom line is this- if Franken stays, then there is no reason that Roy Moore could not stay in office if elected.

But, DrJohn, even many Dems are willing to replace a not-ready-for-prime-time non-politician, Al Frankin, for one who gets his talking points from somewhere other than the WaPo, NYTimes and TV network news.
He might be a sacrificial lamb in order to pave the way for “getting” Roy Moore, or even Donald Trump on the new standard: mere wisp of accusation.
All this evidence, proof, trial, conviction garbage is just too much for the Dems of the Antifa generation.
Remember, (conservative) words are violence and therefore JUSTIFY pre-emptive violence.

“Look at the contrast between Al Franken, accepting responsibility, apologizing, and Roy Moore and Donald Trump who have done neither,” Clinton said.

Why didn’t she include hubby Bill in that list? Or, did I miss his 12 or so apologies to all of his victims?

One difference, though. Hillary apparently expects people to apologize for liberals making accusations. Also, perhaps what Hillary means by taking responsibility is like when she admits she is responsible for Benghazi or her election failure BUT (then lists all the other directions all the fingers should be pointing).

I’m sorry, but when liberals are making accusations, they simply have to be proven beyond any shadow of a doubt. We have seen hundreds, if not thousands, of examples of liberals lying about ANYTHING to further their political goals or to protect themselves when faced with scandal. Yes, these accusations sound credible; they all do, and if proven true, Moore should bear full responsibility. However, based merely upon what some liberal says no one should be held accountable. Liberals lie; it’s what they do.

If I was to never have sexually assaulted anyone but was falsely accused of doing so what would I be apologizing for? If Roy Moore did not assault anyone why in He!! would he apologize?

If Franken stays, then Moore can stay too

The behaviors of the two are not the same. The reason we don’t have a single punishment for all crimes is because all transgressions are not equal.

@Greg:

The behaviors of the two are not the same.

True, one did it and the other is merely accused by known and habitual liars.

True, one did it and the other is merely accused by known and habitual liars.

There are eight individual accusers, and corroborating reports from mall security personnel. Are they all known and habitual liars? And how would you know this? Bearing in mind that you can’t seem to figure out that Donald Trump is a known and habitual liar—not to mention a self-confessed serial adulterer who has actually bragged about it while promoting a book… Was that just another lie, or the truth?

@Greg: I bet they probably have a dossier, don’t they?

Here is a list of false accusations of racism and violence brought by liberals to discredit Republicans.

Accounts of pro-Trump supporters committing violence? Mostly fabricated

Yeah, it is very well possible they are all liars sought out and presented by other liberal liars.

Here is a list of false accusations of racism and violence brought by liberals to discredit Republicans.

What party did Ralph Shortey belong to? People mostly discredit themselves.

The fact that some allegations are later determined to be false doesn’t mean everybody should get a Get Out Of Jail Free card.

I don’t know, but I believe Roy Moore is probably lying. There are just too many accusers, and their motives don’t seem to be mercenary. I think Franken is telling the truth. He behaved like a jackass, but his jackass behavior was as far as it went. In both cases my opinion is of little consequence, because I don’t have to think about voting for either. I don’t believe tasteless sexual humor is as reprehensible as pursuing underage women. I know for a fact that Trump lies, and lies frequently, because so many of his past statements can be so easily fact checked. I don’t take anything anyone says at face value. You can believe whatever you want.

@Greg: Those are just a few examples of random individual liberals trying to help out their cause by actions and lies which are designed to create heightened divisiveness. You can add the professionals to that, if it makes you feel better, the lies of Sharpton, Reid, Pelosi, Obama, the Clinton’s, Schumer, et al.

Excuse me while I disregard the politically useful accusations made by liberals.

@Greg:

There are eight individual accusers, and corroborating reports from mall security personnel.

Moore was apparently NOT banned from the mall.

I also remember Juanita Broaddrick. Bill Clinton never apologized for raping her but I don’t remember hillary clinton demanding that he did.

Dr John, Bill Clinton, among other accusations in your diatribe, has never been convicted of raping anyone.

Wasn’t it you that posted something the other day about Moore being innocent until proven guilty ?

Wasn’t it I that commented something along the lines of you only hypocritically applying due process as partisan or if it suits your agenda?

Is there the slightest slither of honesty in your hyper partisan, bigoted soul?

@Greg: Once again I am in agreement with you Greg. Moore has only been accused without evidence while Franken has been accused with evidence and acknowledgement!!

@Greg: Ralph Shortey was a state senator who paid in full the price for his misconduct.
When Barack Obama was a state senator he picked up men who he gave drugs to in exchange for sex on at least two occasions.
The media buried the accusers instead of covering the story.
He never paid the price.
So, what’s your point?

@Ajay42302: These questions are considered unanswered until answered.

What is your substantiation for calling Trump a racist?

Does Hillary dropping N-bombs make her a racist (and, by extension, all of her supporters)?

Is ANTIFA committing violence?

Shouldn’t the left be demanding Yale University change its name because Elihu Yale was a slave trader and the school was built with support from slave traders?

Tell us of how Trump “breached the Constitution”.

Why do liberals get to make vile, unsubstantiated accusations in media but conservatives get fired if they voice a non-liberal opinion?

How is questioning Obama’s demonstrably dubious birth records racist?

Are immigration laws expected to be enforced?

Who is justifying “mass murdering people not of their heritage”?

Who has ever asserted that “all Hispanic and Latinos are murders, rapist, and drug dealers”?

When did Trump ever grab anyone’s vagina and who was it?

What did Trump lie about?

Whose wages did Trump steal?

What is the nature of Trump’s “con”?

How did I indicate your answers would be meaningless?

What answer have you provided that has been ignored?

Can you show us an incident when conservatives overreacted to a tragedy and accused the wrong responsible party?

Do you denounce those who are rejoicing in the slaughter in Las Vegas and using it for obscene political gain?

Trump said a word. Weinstein groped, fondled and… whatever else that shall be revealed. Are you intellectually incapable of understanding the difference?

What is Trump doing that is “energizing the KKK and Neo-Nazis”?

Provide examples of anyone that “harrass and falsely imprison and then beat and attributed death to people of color (even openly declaring his prison as his “own personal concentration camp)”.

If Franken stays, then Moore can stay too

Frankin isn’t staying, and he wasn’t even accused of molesting little girls.

Meanwhile, the cartoon character who has been prepares for his big day.

Nine women have come forward with accusations that Moore pursued them either romantically or sexually when they were teenagers and he was in his twenties and thirties, including one who said he had a sexual encounter with her when she was 14 years old and he was 32.

President Trump has thrown his support behind Moore, and several GOP lawmakers have said it is up to the people of Alabama to decide, with some walking back previous calls for Moore to withdraw from the race.

Another one is leaving. We may have a trend here, folks.

@Greg: #19 Your example is pathetic.

@Greg:

Frankin isn’t staying, and he wasn’t even accused of molesting little girls.

The severity of the accusation doesn’t matter if the accusation isn’t true.

Nine women have come forward with accusations that Moore pursued them either romantically or sexually when they were teenagers and he was in his twenties and thirties, including one who said he had a sexual encounter with her when she was 14 years old and he was 32.

And they have all begun to crumble. We can’t verify definitively who is telling the truth due to the late date of the accusations (a tell that they are probably politically motivated and proof of fact is NOT the final concern), but the fact that some have fallen apart completely indicates that, most likely, they are false, politically motivated accusations.

Meanwhile, we have a photograph of Franken in mid-grope and he confessed and apologized to the initial accusations (backing off and reversing when it became an avalanche). If Franken is not guilty, he should do as Moore did; deny all the accusations emphatically and unequivocally and fight them.

I hope and pray Moore IS innocent… not for his or Republican’s sake, but for the sake of any real victims. For, if he IS guilty, it is the fault of the Democrats, who dredged them up at a time favorable (they hoped) for the election, making it impossible, without any evidence, to determine guilt or innocence. For, it would be devastating for the country and our electoral system to allow false accusation to determine the outcome instead of the voters.

The severity of the accusation doesn’t matter if the accusation isn’t true.

You don’t know that it isn’t true.

The fact of the matter is that your President and party are endorsing the Senatorial candidacy of an accused child molester, at a time when others are being driven from Congress on the basis of accusations regarding things that are far less reprehensible. This does not strike me as consistent, or as an example of sound political judgement.

@Greg:

You don’t know that it isn’t true.

Oh, you mean the more salacious and lurid the accusation, the more powerful a political weapon to use against the opposition it is. Yes, I see where that would be the case. However, in regards to innocence or guilt, you can accuse whatever you want but if it is untrue, it is simply another lie.

The fact of the matter is that your President and party are endorsing the Senatorial candidacy of an accused child molester, at a time when others are being driven from Congress on the basis of accusations regarding things that are far less reprehensible. This does not strike me as consistent, or as an example of sound political judgement.

In other words, you are upset that the underhanded, scurrilous tactic of making false accusations against a candidate to drive him from a campaign your guy cannot win is not working. I see.
