You want the good news or the bad news about Obamacare?

OK, that was misleading. There is no good news. It’s all bad. In fact, it’s raining bad news.

Remember this bullsh*t?

It was exactly that. Bullsh*t. Pretty much just like everything Obama says. Bullsh*t. Well, here it comes.

Health care premiums are up 39-56% BECAUSE of Obamacare:

Americans buying health insurance outside the new Obamacare exchanges are being forced to swallow premiums up to 56 percent higher than before the health law took effect because insurers have jumped the cost to cover all the added features of the new Affordable Care Act.

According to a cost report from eHealthInsurance, a nationwide online private insurance exchange, families are paying an average of $663 a month and singles $274 a month, far more than before Obamacare kicked in. What’s more, to save money, most buyers are choosing the lowest level of coverage, the so-called “bronze” plans.

The firm provided the costs to Secrets through their new online price index, which gives the averages of what people are paying for insurance sold through their system. In California, for example, some families are paying a high of $2,604 a month and in New York, $1,845.

The shocking surge in prices show what Americans not in Obamacare or covered by their employer are paying as they seek lower premiums. Typically, they are not eligible for the subsidies Obamacare offers those with low incomes.

Premiums are not only not going down, they’re rising faster than in the eight years prior to Obamacare combined.

Health insurance premiums have risen more after Obamacare than the average premium increases over the eight years before it became law, according to the private health exchange eHealthInsurance.

The individual market for health insurance has seen premiums rise by 39 percent since February 2013, eHealth reports. Without a subsidy, the average individual premium is now $274 a month. Families have been hit even harder with an average increase of 56 percent over the same period — average premiums are now $663 per family, over $426 last year.

Between 2005 and 2013, average premiums for individual plans increased 37 percent and average family premiums were upped 31 percent. So they have risen faster under Obamacare than in the previous eight years.

And in the coming rates are expected to skyrocket.

Health industry officials say ObamaCare-related premiums will double in some parts of the country, countering claims recently made by the administration.

The expected rate hikes will be announced in the coming months amid an intense election year, when control of the Senate is up for grabs. The sticker shock would likely bolster the GOP’s prospects in November and hamper ObamaCare insurance enrollment efforts in 2015.

The industry complaints come less than a week after Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius sought to downplay concerns about rising premiums in the healthcare sector. She told lawmakers rates would increase in 2015 but grow more slowly than in the past.

“The increases are far less significant than what they were prior to the Affordable Care Act,” the secretary said in testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee.

Her comment baffled insurance officials, who said it runs counter to the industry’s consensus about next year.

“It’s pretty shortsighted because I think everybody knows that the way the exchange has rolled out … is going to lead to higher costs,” said one senior insurance executive who requested anonymity.

The insurance official, who hails from a populous swing state, said his company expects to triple its rates next year on the ObamaCare exchange.

And who is to blame?

But insurance officials are quick to emphasize that any spikes would be a consequence of delays and changes in ObamaCare’s rollout.

People are discovering that top tier doctors and hospitals, for cost containment reasons, are no longer covered by Obamacare plans.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Some of America’s best cancer hospitals are off-limits to many of the people now signing up for coverage under the nation’s new health care program.

Doctors and administrators say they’re concerned. So are some state insurance regulators.

An Associated Press survey found examples coast to coast. Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is excluded by five out of eight insurers in Washington’s insurance exchange. MD Anderson Cancer Center says it’s in less than half of the plans in the Houston area. Memorial Sloan-Kettering is included by two of nine insurers in New York City and has out-of-network agreements with two more.

In all, only four of 19 nationally recognized comprehensive cancer centers that responded to AP’s survey said patients have access through all the insurance companies in their states’ exchanges.

Not too long ago insurance companies would have been vying to offer access to renowned cancer centers, said Dan Mendelson, CEO of the market research firm Avalere Health. Now the focus is on costs.

“This is a marked deterioration of access to the premier cancer centers for people who are signing up for these plans,” Mendelson said.

But really, how many even want the best possible treatment when a family member, especially a child, develops cancer?

I did.

If there was real justice, Obama and his supporters would be denied the best for them and their families.

The excrement is going to hit the fan, and democrats are ready to shut the door to the panic room:

Obama has been reduced to a carnival barker, begging for people to sign up not as much for their own health but to save his ass. The President of the United States went begging for enrollment, prostrating himself to an assclown.

Four Ferns

Tyler Durden summarized this spectacle nicely:

To summarize the problem in the same lingo that the President and Galifianakis bantered in, lets say you are the kind of person that always takes beers to a party. Lets also say that a bunch of people really want you to go to a specific party, but you find out that the only reason they invited you in the first place is because you bring more beer than you drink, and if you don’t show up the guys that drink lots of beer but don’t bring any won’t have as much fun. Might you then decide not to go to this party, and just stay home and watch Funny or Die videos by your favorite comedian?

To combat the lethargy in the application process, Obama has resorted to some sad actions and some actions of dubious legality.

There are cash prizes for signing up!

There is a special incentive for illegals. Basically, Obama promises not to deport the illegals in your family if you sign up.

In an interview with Univision Deportes, a Spanish-language sports radio show, Obama said immigration officials won’t have access to the personal information that consumers provide when signing up for healthcare on the new exchanges.

“Well, the main thing for people to know is that any information you get, you know, asked with respect to buying insurance, does not have anything to do with … the rules governing immigration,” Obama said. “And you know, you can qualify if you’re a legal resident, if you are … legally present in the United States.

“You know, if you have a family where some people are citizens or legally here, and others are not documented, the immigration people will never get that information.”

Adolf Falcon, the senior vice president of the National Alliance for Hispanic Health, told The Hill that Hispanic families are wary of Obama’s assurances because of his record on deportations.

“It is a big concern of mixed status families — they hear [the president’s] assurance, but because of the level of deportations that have happened, there’s a lot of families that don’t know whether they can trust that assurance,” he said. “It creates an atmosphere of concern.”

And if Obamacare seems costly, Obama suggests you give up your cable and phone.

The Obama regime claims that 5 million have signed up for Obamacare. They still have no idea how many have actually paid a dime.

I heard somewhere that Obama has offered Vladimir Putin the Aleutians if Putin signs up for Obamacare.

DrJohn has been a health care professional for more than 30 years. In addition to clinical practice he has done extensive research and has published widely with over 70 original articles and abstracts in the peer-reviewed literature. DrJohn is well known in his field and has lectured on every continent except for Antarctica. He has been married to the same wonderful lady for over 30 years and has three kids- two sons, both of whom are attorneys and one daughter on her way into the field of education. DrJohn was brought up with the concept that one can do well if one is prepared to work hard but nothing in life is guaranteed. Except for liberals being foolish.

Pretty much the only coverage this is getting is on Fox.

The MSM continues to ignore and block and tackle for the administration. Anybody complaining about this stuff must be racist. Just ask ABCBSNBCNNPR.

It is all for the greater good. I don’t know who it is good for, but it is for the greater good. I guess it is for the good of the oligarchs, who get named Ambassador to a country they can’t find on the globe. It is good for the bundlers, who are free and clear of any tax or civic obligations whatever.
It was all about electing Zippy to a second term. Now he is one for the ages, having replaced Millard Fillmore and Jimmy Carter as the worst President in history. He won.
He lost Iraq. He lost Afghanistan. He lost North Korea. He lost South Korea. He lost Taiwan. He lost Ukraine. He lost the black youth. He lost women. He lost Syria. I could go on, but it gets boring.
You have heard of the Greek King Croesus? Everything he touched turned to gold. This guy, everything he touches turns to … (you will have to fill in the blank yourself, with something very smelly and vile).
It was not good for our Ambassador. He got dead. It is not good for those who no longer have healthcare, and will soon be dead. But it is good for Moochelle, currently spending upwards of $100,000,000.00 on a junket to China, along with 40 of her closest paid employees.
Alas for our former Republic, now become an oligarchy.
Alas for most of us, the middle class having been abolished by fiat.

I wonder if the only way to get this insanity repealed is for all physicians to refuse to provide any medical care for any politician who voted for obamacare, continues to support obamacare, or refuses to ote to repeal in toto this socialist nightmare.

Or – even better – let pro-obamacare politicians and their families, and everyone who voted for Obama, only go to those physicians who think obamacare is a good idea. See how well that works out for them.

The fish, as they say, rots from the head down……

I called the toll-free support number and asked why the website had denied me tax credits. The pleasant-sounding young man who answered took a quick look at my income information and agreed that it looked like I should be eligible. Then he started asking how I had answered the multiple questions the application process requires. When he asked whether I had indicated I currently have health insurance, I said I had … because I do have health insurance.

“Ah,” he said, “that may be the problem.”

Wait, I said, are you telling me that to qualify for tax credits — the only reason to sign up on the Obamacare website, as compared to buying directly from the insurance company — that I can’t already have health insurance?

    He replied that was correct.

But surely, I maintained, thinking of two people I know of who got tax credits in circumstances similar to mine, I can’t be the only self-employed person who’s applying for tax credits who already has insurance. How do other people qualify?

There was a pause on the phone line, then the young man said, “Well, I’m sure that not all people give the, uh, correct answer to all the questions.”

He didn’t say it, but he might as well have added, “Hint, hint.”

Thus it was that, on the afternoon of March 6, 2014, a representative of the U.S. Government encouraged me to lie before God and the IRS about my health insurance status when applying for Obamacare.
    …..

Why would Obamacare “navigators” encourage applicants to misrepresent their existing insurance status when applying?

A headline in the LA Times this past week answered the question. “Obamacare meeting goal of reducing number of uninsured” it read.

It brings to mind the commercial, ”What would you do for a Klondike bar?”
Only it is Obama willing to to force lies out of the public so he can look good.

My wife, who’s an MD, said many of the Obamacare plans are quite bad, including their gold/platinum plans. Reimbursement rates are low and slow. That’s why many docs are opting to retire, move to non-Obamacare networks, or set-up a concierge practice. One of the little known part of O-care is that HHS decides who gets go to medical school. If you thought the doc shortage is bad now, it’s going to become worse.

Well, one of the solutions that has been offered to counter a Doctor shortage is to allow health workers to perform more actions that have been limited to doctors.
RNs and LPNs performing surgery, anyone?
    Candy Stripers writing prescriptions, perhaps?

Every person who voted for obamacare, and ever person who wanted the politicians to vote for obamacare should be on obamacare. The punishment should fit the crime.

    This one

It amazes me how those who would benefit from better heath care coverage would be so vehemently against it because…why? Obama is black that’s why. Pure and simple.

Koch Group Yet Again Fails Fact Check On Obamacare Horror Story:

One ad features a horror story from Julie Boonstra, a 49-year-old cancer patient who says her plan was canceled by Obamacare and that her new one was too expensive. “If I do not receive my medication, I will die,” she says. But as TPM and others reported, it turns out Boonstra would actually save money under Obamacare, although she wouldn’t admit it.

Another features a man who says he’s “scared to death” because Obamacare would lead to “bureaucrats telling me what kind of services I am going to qualify for.” The Washington Post’s fact-checker took it apart. Yet another features a woman who laments that her plan was canceled, but omits the rest of the story

    See the new lie…

    David

    @Petercat:

PAs and Nurse Practitioners are doing more already, the line will have to be drawn somewhere. While more surgery, for example, are being done by robotic methods, it still requires the lead surgeon to be present if something goes wrong. Office/follow-up visits on a closed circuit TV are already being done. X-Ray and imaging on closed circuit is rather routine at large hospitals and doctor groups.

    Proof

@This one: “Obama is black that’s why.”

I take it you are a total tool and the following words will fall on deaf ears. So be it.

When Obama lied and said, “If you like your doctor, you can keep him”, was he lying because he is black, or was he lying because he’s a liar?

When Obama lied and said, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it”, was he lying because he is black, or was he lying because he’s a liar?

When we oppose Joe Biden, Hilary Clinton and Harry Reid for the exact same policies, that are dangerous to the health, liberty and well being of Americans, is it because they’re black too? Or are you just another race baiting tool?

You don’t have to answer that last one. We already know.

    Bill Burris

@This one: “It amazes me how those who would benefit from better heath care coverage would be so vehemently against it because…why? Obama is black that’s why. Pure and simple.”

So you blame Obama’s race for the fact that he is a failure? Now, THAT’S racist.

    @This one:
We get it. Since George Bush isn’t around anymore to blame you have to move on. So your lefty loony buds came up with the Koch brothers.. And you fell right in line…..As a lemming do they give you numbers?

    Clueless again you are.

    New ”glitch” discovered in ObamaCare.
The IRS had overlooked the fact that some married people file their tax returns separately.

    Ok, that is simply stunning.
But worse still is the fact that the IRS KNEW this was a problem back in 2012 and STILL hasn’t fixed it!
So, Obama is taking advantage of this ”glitch” to reward his friends but punish his enemies.
IF you are filing separately because you were abused (liberal) or one of you is behind bars…..you can get aaround the ”glitch.”
BUT if you are filing that way for financial reasons (conservative) you cannot get subsidies from obamaCare at all.

FACTS can really mess up a liberal’s agenda, can’t they? It’s a good thing they have the propaganda media on their side, or nobody would believe them.
