A former fetus, the “wordsmith from nantucket” was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. Adopted at birth, wordsmith grew up a military brat. He achieved his B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (graduating in the top 97% of his class), where he also competed rings for the UCLA mens gymnastics team. The events of 9/11 woke him from his political slumber and malaise. Currently a personal trainer and gymnastics coach.
The wordsmith has never been to Nantucket.
Excellent, Wordsmith… have a great weekend

Sigh. Somehow many of these cartoonists deserve a big “eff you and why aren’t you here picking up the trash?” If there is discrimination around here, my 40 years in AZ says it isn’t against Hispanics: not after I went to school with a lady of Irish extraction who was married to someone with a Hispanic last name, and discovered the preferential treatment she got for her NAME. That’s the defining thing, not the skin color, the name. It isn’t even honest racism.
“Who are these blond white guys doing our lawn?”
Answer: Americans glad to have a job and pay there taxes.
