The nice folks over at “The Root” have the story:
Another busy day at the White House: First Lady Michelle Obama hosted students from Bancroft High School in Washington, who helped her plant and water the brand-new White House garden. She and Agriculture secretary Tom Vilsack spoke to the students about the healthy fruits and veggies that would grow there. “It’s all brain food,” Obama said. She cheered the kids for bringing good weather and then sent them (and the press) home with cookies.
The weather was so nice in fact, that, after President Obama received his economic briefing and met with Defense Secretary Robert Gates in the Oval Office, the POTUS and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton decided to hold their 4:15 meeting out behind the White House—next to the swing set installed for the Obama girls in March.
Striding out from the West Wing, the two seemed thick as thieves—smiling, Secretary Clinton casually swung her leg over the bench on the east side of the playground, and the president grinned and waved to gawking reporters and staff as he sat down across from her. After all, it was just a year ago that Clinton could be seen crying, “Shame on you, Barack Obama.”
This is the first meeting of the two former rivals since Obama returned from Turkey and Iraq.

Now, isn’t that just tho thweet…all they need is to be sipping a couple little dainty teacups and wearing wide brim hats donned with flowers to finish the perfect picture of girls day out at the park…

Is it just me or does Obama have a vacant look on his face? What do you suppose he’s thinking?

Anyway, that little lawn ornament is worth $7 grand, bet some of the 95% of the people that are getting that Obama tax cut will be having one just like it in their backyards soon on the $13.00 a week payment plan.

I think you’d be really hard pressed to find anything negative or even remotely resembling the “slamming” of Obie or sHrillary in either the post or any of the comments up to this point.
Good try though.
On the other hand I think it would actually be better if they were inside working on a plan to free the kidnapped ship captain.
Maybe Obie could offer himself to the pirates in a hostage exchange.

Personally, I don’t blame them for getting some fresh air. I’m sure that the 82 degree heat in the Oval Office gets oppressive at times. What better setting to discuss whether to kill the Somali aqua-terrorists with Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, or all three? Wait, what is that you say? They are discussing whether to put the pirates on unemployment or welfare benefits and whether Barry should bow to the Pirate Captain or not? Huh, who’d a thunk it?
