Obama Only ‘has four years to save Earth’

Barack Obama has only four years to save the world. That is the stark assessment of Nasa scientist and leading climate expert Jim Hansen who last week warned only urgent action by the new president could halt the devastating climate change that now threatens Earth. Crucially, that action will have to be taken within Obama’s first administration, he added.

Soaring carbon emissions are already causing ice-cap melting and threaten to trigger global flooding, widespread species loss and major disruptions of weather patterns in the near future. “We cannot afford to put off change any longer,” said Hansen. “We have to get on a new path within this new administration. We have only four years left for Obama to set an example to the rest of the world. America must take the lead.”

OK, let’s wait four years and see.

You want a side splitter, go back to the original 20 year ago IPCC predictions and see where we are versus what the computer models for idiots said plant Earth would be. Nothing they said has even come close to being true.

How does wealth redistribution save the planet?

Important to add that this warming warning comes from James Hansen, the NASA scientist who is totally in the tank for the left’s global warming political agenda. It was he, along with Al Gore, who started the whole scaremongering campaign back in 1988.

At that time he said we only had a short time before it would be too late. Now 20 years have gone by and he issues another phony warning that has no basis in science or fact.

Something of a pity that Hansen couldn’t trade places with the polar bear. Of course, these days, with arctic ice back to 1979 levels, Hansen would freeze his buns off. He should have come on my run yesterday morning. It was the coldest I’ve felt in 20 years. Bone-chilling. I dressed to the best of my experience and still had to cut my run short to avoid frost-bite. And that is in Ohio, not North Dakota. One anecdote does not a counter-argument make, but decreasing temperatures since 1998 do.

“Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.” – Charles Darwin He obviously knew people like Hanson would exist in the future.

This whole anti-climate change thing is very selfish. Is anyone asking what *I* want? Here in Chicago I would not mind warmer temps. Esp in the winter. I’m sick of shoveling snow…

Actually, the Polar Bear is on sturdier ground than Hanson, which is probably why Hanson is panicking. Whereas PB numbers are increasing, if Hanson is shown for the charlatan he is, his career is headed for extinction.

Save the planet? “Wealth redistribution” is just a shell game to move vast amounts of money around in opaque ways so no one will notice what’s being siphoned off by the elite in order to save THEM when the mess they get the rest of the planet in screws everyone else. Not that it will work, but then they aren’t that bright to begin with.

Know the feeling, Joe. We weren’t used to what we got either. And after living in Zion area north of you in the past, I know that snow is less usual than winds and ice on that side of the lake.

Makes me think that if CO2 makes the planet warmer, and we have a car sale crisis… then Hummers should go on sale BIG TIME!

Is this on top of fixing the economy, creating 3 or was it 4 million new jobs and obtaining peace in the Middle East? Just wondering, that’s all.

I wonder if Hansan looked outside lately, record lows, record snowfall, snow in Rio, snowing Jerusalem.

And is this the same guy that everyone of his predictions has been wrong since he and Algore thought up Manbearpig????

This is the first time that it has not been so far in the future that people will forget what the idiot had said. In 4 years when the temperatures are cooler than they are today,I wonder what the next Global Climate Crisis will be???
