Basically, the left (apparently that includes you these days ,stephanieplume) believes that you empower the poor and middle class by giving power to the elite. They believe that the poor and middle class deserve a fair share of the wealth, but as soon as a middle class upstart like Governor Palin even thinks of moving up the POWER ladder, she needs to be put in her place. A well heeled charity worker, however, DESERVES to be in power.

It’s very telling of what the true nature of socialism is. As long as everyone get equal scraps, no one is supposed to care that the leaders live in luxury. You’re supposed to hate those that earn more through economic superiority or hard work, but love those that take more through political superiority.

The remark about Bristol was wrong. I see that she (and Levi) got $300,000 from People for photos of their new child. That’s not dumb.

Sorry about the links.

I heard of Dohrn (bad) and Khalidi (not bad).
Palin called Khalidi “radical professor” not a “terrorist.”

Dohrn and Ayers fit Wisdom’s def of leftist.

According to David Horowitz (who can rarely be trusted) Bernadine Dohrn spent a rally for assassinated Black Panthers Fred Hampton and Mark Clark (90 bullets in, one out) parading on the stage in the manner of a stripper. He set that as the beginning of his turn against radical chic

As Mrs. Palin, I’l let her speak for herself:

And that was with a very friendly interviewer (“Governor Palin, not yet fully put together, rushed out to tell myself and my crew to make ourselves at home.” http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/jziegler/2009/01/07/my-interview-with-sarah-palin/#more-10885)
(Bighollywood is the new website that according to Mr. Breitbart : “is to create an atmosphere of tolerance — something that does not exist in this town.”” and that “After years of silence, conservatives are coming out of the closet.”)

(Tech secret question: How do you get quotes to appear highlighted and as an inset. I like it. very dramatic.)

I can’t tell if you are being sarcastic or genuine. I hadn’t seen that report, but if it’s true, then good for them. I’m glad they were able to get a little financial stability out of the craziness that the press brought down on them. There was a time when families were off limits, but obviously that time is in the past.

On Cockburn’s comments about Governor Palin – He based his entire opinion of her on her first MSM interview, a hack-edited interview at that. He didn’t look at her record, her history, or anything else.

On Cockburn’s comments about McCain and the bailout – Yeah, I agree with him. What does that have to do with Governor Palin?

Yeah, again, so?

So, are you retracting your ridiculous statement in 46? — “As for the genius of Sarah Palin, she is the one who believes one equals two, as she told us that our next President pals around with “terrorists” but she could name only one. Or is this a type of dialect, like “99 cent.””

What are you attempting to point out? Governor Palin was very well spoken, honest, and direct in that interview.

Overall, it looks to me like you are trying to use a bunch of third rate editorials to support the attacks that you are portraying as facts about a very intelligent, well spoken, and accomplished woman along with her family. If you are so dead set on impeaching her abilities, how about providing some actual facts about what she has done so wrong? There are dozens of FA posts pointing to her numerous accomplishments, yet for all of the negative comments, no hard facts that she has ever been anything but a highly qualified executive.

Come on Stephanie, I’ve read some of your posts in other threads. I know you’re intelligent. You just need to get the blinders off when it comes to Governor Palin. If you’re going to keep up this argument, you’ve got to try harder.

It might help make your comments above more readable and understandable as I too join Missy in wondering what it is you were trying to say.

Sounded to me like another stream of conciousness rant against the Palin family. If so, we’re overquota for that kind of sleaze.

I seem to recall that Obama said his family was off limits. Apparently that doesn’t also apply to Palin’s family or you didn’t get the memo from Obama HQ.

Damn!

I was so looking forward to two years of comedic source material from the most vacuous of Kennedys.

The state of New York, and the democratic party, deserved Caroline.
