Going to war with Iran because of Fox News?

Loading

In another sign that the Left is completely irrational and foolish, CNSNews.com is reporting that LIBERAL filmmaker and political activist Robert Greenwald has accused Fox News of war mongering and wanting “war with Iran.”

In the “it-doesn’t-get-much-more-ridiculous department,” Greenwald has urged the other major news networks, “not to follow Fox down the road to war again.”

Evidently, Fox News dictates war policy in the White House, from what Greenwald would have us believe. Seriously, first it’s President Bush’s misleadingly erroneous evidence that Saddam Hussein possessed WMD that led into the Iraq War. Couple that with Fox News somehow leading us into war, and I can’t believe what I’m reading.

“On Wednesday, Greenwald and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) were spreading the word, through a conference call, about a new viral ad campaign to expose what Fox News supposedly is doing. (Viral ad campaigns depend on people passing along a marketing message — in this case, Greenwald’s anti-Fox video — voluntarily.)”

“According to Greenwald, Fox News engaged in "daily fear-mongering" in the days leading up to the war with Iraq, serving as a media cheerleader for the U.S.-led war.”

Sorry, Robert, but Fox News is a much-needed media outlet that is absolutely warranted in combating the Leftist, seditious, anti-American rhetoric spun out of the Mainstream Media. For the all talk that the President has circumvented Congress, it is actually the Left that would restrict 1st Amendment rights for those not regurgitating Leftist talking points.

"The 24/7 images, sound effects, yelling and threatening were an ever-present drumbeat for war," Greenwald said on his Web site. "We had to invade, and we had to invade now…anyone who didn’t see that was a traitor. They (Fox News) viciously attacked those of us who worked to get out the truth," Greenwald said.”

Evidently, we should all should immediately protested the decision to “unilaterally” and “imperialistically” invade the “sovereign” Iraq.

“This is a critical moment, and we must send a message to the major television networks urging them to ask tough questions, be skeptical, and tell us what is really happening.”

Truly, this sort of rhetoric is almost laughable. People like Greenwald are so blinded by their anti-Right, anti-Christian, anti-Bush beliefs, that they truly do not see what’s going on around them.

Yeah, that’s right…16 intelligence agencies got together, watched FOX, threw out everything they’ve seen and all they’ve ever known, and determined:
1) it’s not a good idea to change direction in Iraq now
2) Iran is pursuing a nuclear weapons capability and all the diplomatic and international efforts of the past 18 years have failed

Yep, it’s FOX’ fault that the intelligence agencies are not in lock step with the KOSsacks.

Morons

Wait a sec…to be clear…that was sarcasm

I wasn’t sure if the head-in-sand crowd would recognize that, so I thought I’d point out:

I WAS BEING SARCASTIC
FOX NEWS DID NOT MANIPULATE THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES

Furthermore, Greenwald and his “ilk” in Hollywood, the MSM, etc, are absolutely positive that we can “negotiate” (read: appease) with Iran.

You can hear the cries now “Diplomacy is the answer!!!” as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are rained upon with nuclear weapons, and while sleeper cells denote a nuclear weapon of some capacity here in the heartland.

I think I just threw up in my mouth.

Here we are once again considering the terrorist nation of Iran. A nation that controls Palestine through Hamas, Lebanon and Syria though Hezbollah, and Iraq through the Mahdi army, untold numbers of insurgency and militant organizations and even Al Qaeda. Iran is closing in quickly on the ability to mass produce nuclear weapons while our politicians are arguing over whether or not they are even a threat to the region, and our own nation. Israel, as I have said before, does not have the luxury of debating this issue until the day it is confirmed that the Iranian nuclear program has in fact produced it’s first reliable weapon. Israel has nuclear weapons but will they use them? It is a strongly held belief that only the United States can deliver a conventional strike devastating enough to impact the Iranian nuclear program, however, if the United States does not do that and soon, Israel will be forced to consider the nuclear option as it’s only reliable means of ensuring it’s continued existence.

When considering the possible destruction of your entire population by nuclear assault, the nuclear option does not seem so terrible in light of the consequence of waiting too long, or conducting an inadequate conventional strike. European nations, Russia and China have prevented measures that could have reigned in Iran many times before. Creating a situation whereby the one entity that could have made a difference (United Nations), is instead provoking the inevitable destruction of either Israel or Iran or possibly even the destruction of both nations.

Iran has created a reality on the ground throughout the Middle East that provides the ultimate fallback. Iran’s arming, training and positioning of Hezbollah, Hamas, the Mahdi Army, and literally hundreds of other militant assets means that at a moments notice Iran could create complete chaos throughout the entire region. Imagine all of these groups being coordinated by Iran’s military machine causing the cessation of trade throughout the region, the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians in countries throughout the Middle East, and the successful overthrow of governments unable to respond quickly enough to such an unconventional enemy.

If the United States is unable or unwilling to confront Iran militarily within the next 12 months, world war three is almost a certainty. Because if Iran is able to get all their pieces in place before they are directly attacked, this chess game is over and no country in the world will be safe from the terrorist army they have been building up arming and training for over 30 years. China, Russia, Venezuela and many other countries have already chosen their allies in this struggle by supporting, supplying and defending Iran in it’s quest for nuclear weapons and undying support of terrorism in all it’s horrific forms and manifestations.

Excellent analysis…hell, you said it better than I did 🙂

And when an Iranian bomb is delivered by Al Queda to New York City eight months into President Obama’s rule….will the left blame W?

And if any sort of terror attack happens 8 months into President H Clinton’s administration with the 2/3’s of the terrorists’ reasons for the attack being the war in Iraq…will the left blame W?

I myself am surprised that the political left (based in NYC, DC, San Fran, LA, Boston, etc) are so eager to dismiss the threat to American cities without which their entire political leadership would disappear. What would they say if Al Queda (or the political group, Hezzbollah) delivered Iranian nukes to NYC, LA, San Fran, and DC? Who would lead the left? Who would march? Who would protest retaliation (as the left did after 911 re Afghanistan)?

“President” Bush is Dick Cheney’s glove puppet. The real leader of America has long planned to bomb Iran into submission. When the bombs start falling, oil will go to over $100/barrel. This will cheer the oil magnates and “friends” of Cheney considerably.

Fred056,
You can’t possibly think that Democrats don’t have as many “friends” in the oil industry as Cheney? Seriously….no one is that naive. Perhaps it’s time to loosen the tinfoil hat? Maybe it’s on too tight?

Ahhhh Scott in all your raving lunacy. Some things never change. lol

Bolton Says U.S. Diplomacy With Iran at an End

Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. believes time is running out on diplomacy with Iran, according to an interview on Foxç–´ Americaç–´ Newsroom yesterday. He also said he hopes a military strike on Iran is on the table in the next 6 months.
