Fred Thompson was on Hannity last night and nailed it, just NAILED it, about the Democrats.  Watch it:

I have to tell you, this man is going to be dangerous to the Democrats if he gets into this race.  Frankly none of the Republicans can touch him anymore and he hasn’t thown his hat into the ring.

As they say, he is the Iron Hammer with a velvet glove.

Once again, I’d pay good money for a pay per view party during a Thompson/Hillary debate. Her rhetoric is weak, his truth is strong. Her spin is spin, and his ‘that’s-the-way-it-is’ beats spin every time. Simply put, his kung fu is better than hers.

True enough, Curt.

I’m just wondering though is whether much of Thompson’s popularity is because conservatives only have a vague understanding of where he stands on specific issues. If he does run, he’ll have to take specific positions on a lot of issues, and his record in the Senate will come under scrutiny. I hope he stands up, but suspect that as part of this process some of the shine may come off him.
