The Cowardly Democrats At It Again

Loading

A big pat on the back to Bryan over at Hot Air for his most excellent skewering of the Democrats newest plan for defeat in the war on terror.  A "slow bleed" strategy:

Top House Democrats, working in concert with anti-war groups, have decided against using congressional power to force a quick end to U.S. involvement in Iraq, and instead will pursue a slow-bleed strategy designed to gradually limit the administration’s options.

If they do what they’re apparently planning to do, “slow bleed” will be a very apt description. Those doing the bleeding, slowly, will be US troops.

Led by Rep. John P. Murtha, D-Pa., and supported by several well-funded anti-war groups, the coalition’s goal is to limit or sharply reduce the number of U.S. troops available for the Iraq conflict, rather than to openly cut off funding for the war itself.

This is the strategy of a corrupt, dishonorable man. Yes, I realize I’m talking about a former Marine. I’m also talking about the unindicted co-conspirator of Abscam. I’m talking about the coot who thinks we can fight a war in Iraq from Okinawa. I’m talking about a man who is a tool for various subversive anti-war groups.

And who are these well-funded groups with whom Murtha is working? Are they International ANSWER, the Stalinist hardliners who have been patiently building the anti-war movement since 9-12-01? That’s a question Murtha must answer. Who besides the blame-America-first Win Without War Coalition is he working with?

So these cowards are not man enough to put their names down as wanting a full and complete immediate withdrawal.  Instead they will slowly seep the number of troops over in Iraq, causing more bloodshed in the meantime, all to further their goal of making the US the latest hapless "paper tiger".

And now 11 House Republicans are siding with the losers:

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Nearly a dozen Republican congressmen broke ranks with party leaders Wednesday to endorse a resolution opposing President Bush’s plan to send more than 21,000 additional troops to Iraq.

"If you find out you’re going the wrong way down the interstate, you do not keep going — you get off at the next exit," Rep. John Duncan, R-Tennessee, said during the second day of debate on the non-binding resolution in the House of Representatives.

Duncan was one of 11 Republicans who supported the Democratic-drafted resolution opposing Bush’s "new way forward" in Iraq. The measure expresses support for American troops, but goes on to state that "Congress disapproves of the decision of President George W. Bush, announced on January 10, 2007, to deploy more than 20,000 additional United States combat troops to Iraq."

As soon as I get the rest of the losers names I will put them up here.

UPDATE

One of the groups behind this movement is this group:

"What we have staked out is a campaign to stop the war without cutting off funding" for the troops, said Tom Mazzie of Americans Against Escalation of the War in Iraq. "We call it the ‘readiness strategy.’"

Which is a coalition of: SEIU, MoveOn.org Political Action, Center for American Progress, USAction, Win Without War, Vote Vets, Campaign for America’s Future, and USSA.

All Socialist/Communist groups.  This is who Murtha & gang are in bed with to force the defeat of this country to the terrorists.

It’s just sad. Our guys in Iraq need our help, they have a mission, there’s a new strategy, they have a new ROE and are being more aggressive.  Sadr has run from the field of battle.   All they need is the support from their own country and what do they get?  Communist groups being the puppet masters for the Democrats as they call for retreat.

UPDATE II

Thats all I have been able to find so far, still looking.

Take a look at Congressman Jack Kingston from Georgia here on Hardball with Chrissy and Congressman Tim Walz of Minnesota.  He does a great job of highlighting the cowardice of the Democrat party.  If you feel like the war is wrong then put up legislation to DEFUND it.  At one point Walz is rendered speechless:

And then we have Rudy on Larry King hitting the ball out of the park about these non-binding resolutions over at Hot Air.

Nice to see this stuff coming on the heels of the disgraceful conduct from the Democrats.

“All Socialist/Communist groups.”

To be more specific, I believe these are all Fenton Communications directed operations. As their “PR” firm, Fenton Communications pretty much controls what these groups do, their message, their media campaigns, etc. So basically what you are seeing is a multifront campaign from our friends at Fenton.

I just got home, and my channel’s been on cspan. So when I turned it on, all I started seeing is red, right away.

I am sick of all the Democrats who keep talking about the troops, as if they are children and victims. It’s an argument that can be applied to any wartime conflict. Not just Iraq.

USSA???? Union of Soviet Socialists of Amerika???

Via Gateway Pundit:

The Left’s admission

Chairman Murtha will describe his strategy for not only limiting the deployment of troops to Iraq but “undermining” other aspects of the president’s foreign and national security policy. Chairman Murtha discusses these steps in a videotaped conversation with former Congressman Tom Andrews (D-ME), the National Director of the Win Without War coalition, sponsor of MoveCongress.org.

…..

Chairman Murtha? Chairman Mao? What the HELL is the difference?
