Some may recall the Deborah Frisch saga last July. If not, here is a cliffnote version. Jeff from Protein Wisdom had a lefty reader who commented every once in awhile and as time passed she became quite threatening in her behavior. Here is an example of her comments:

Well, this whole thing became news in the blogosphere. Within day’s Jeff’s readers did some research of their own and discovered her identity after which she resigned from her job at the University of Arizona. Almost immediately afterwards Jeff’s site was promptly hacked and hacked again.
Now we find out that today a arrest warrant was issued for her arrest: (via TalkLeft)
Many of you will remember the Deb Frisch – Protein Wisdom blog drama.
Dr. Frisch has removed her website, but many of her posts and comments can still be found on Technorati and Google.
After the Frisch-Goldstein drama, Frisch was charged in Oregon with stalking and telephone harassment in a matter unrelated to Goldstein.
Meanwhile, Goldstein obtained a restraining order against Frisch in Denver. Alleging she violated the order, he then obtained a contempt citation against her. When she didn’t appear last week to show cause why she shouldn’t be held in contempt of court, the matter was continued until today.
At the court hearing in Denver this morning, Frisch again didn’t show, although her lawyer did. Despite his efforts on her behalf, the Judge ordered the arrest warrant to be activated. (No links, but I did attend the brief hearing.)
So now she has the honor of being the very first blogger troll to have an arrest warrant issued for her for actions related to blogging. What an honor huh?

Over the course of a few short weeks Frisch has gone from employed university adjunct to unemployable Internet sociopath with a rap sheet. It’s one thing to troll a few right-wing sites for fun and attention, but another matter entirely to make thinly veiled threats about a man’s child, imply that he’s a pedophile, and then proceed to alienate essentially everyone in the blogosphere and more than a few in what we might call “meatspace.”
