Disgusting. F*** Billy Zane and Gary Busey! I think this is far more disgraceful and shameful than the Washington Post cartoon. No…I’m not going to riot Hollywood…I’m not going to call for the beheadings of all celebrity actors and burn down theaters, because that would be an over-reaction response (*cough*Islam*cough*) now wouldn’t it? Hmmmm, I thought this was about a movie. Not sure how Hollywood ever got into the mix with religion and politics. I guess it is obviously inevitable. The only bad thing I could say about this films production is the sensativity of timing in its release. We all have seen what happened with the Abu Ghraib pictures that stirred up a hornets nest. As far as Zane and Busey go, who cares where they make movies and what scripts they accept. There is no Fonda comparison here. People claim the film incites scenarios that are false. How would we know. Alot of movies that are based on true stories implement ficticious events to actually make a movie out of the story. Otherwise, they are only best left as news headlines. It has been our nature to always appear as the good guy, and I think it hurts our ego a little bit to see the shoe on the other foot. All war movies depict foriegn countries and its soldiers in a less than appealing ways. Germans, Vietnamese, Japanese etc, etc, etc all seemed to have an evil demeanor as the villan. “how dare anyone make the US the villan?” Cmon, its a movie. Cmon say it…”it’s a movie.” I know the Michael Moore documentry pissed plenty of righty tighties off, I have seen it on the blockbuster shelf for 5 dollars and didnt see any hefty lefties jumping on it. first,i’d like to remember people about the 2econd world war and how europe was sucked out of its resources. ironic enough a jewish character named adolf hitler gathered all the resources with his cia buddys himmler and goebles (wich is a fact and was also told by the american government 50 years later) who handed those resources over to the american government at that time. germany still has american bases all around tho they have peace, democracy and no wdm’s. then comes korea wich wasnt a total success but was kinda in the same vein. then there we have vietnam where the vietcong was installed by the cia again(or shall we call it illuminati to make it more scary). the there is saddam at long last. who is from the cia again. after they kill him i think they will reveal that to the world too. lets get back to the film.
when tom cruise played in a film where “indians” where slaughtered and horrificly killed people where not that criticizing. of course at that time people didnt think that was over dramatizing or whorish because it isnt a country far away or has no other psychology soothing version of it.
i liked the film very much. there were some dumb scenes and bad acting in my oppinion(and that includes the american actors as well). but at last the first iraq film is being made before sylvester stallone was there.i’d like to remember apocalypse now too tho that was a master work and totally superb to this film. i heard rumor wise and later saw alots of documentery videos about the situation in iraq. open graves made by us soldiers for us soldiers where they were just tossed in to hide casualties and such other disgracefull things.

I just watched the movie an loved it. I think Americans need to free up their minds, policies and government. It’s sad to see how ignorant and arrogant American policies have become and the American people that don’t know crap about the world around them, end up defending their interests and badmouthing actors as traitors because of the lack of cultural values. They confuse Christian Values as being one that can actually invade sovereign nations, invade their oil, call it a freedom action and if people oppose they call them all enemies.
I believe the Roman Empire ended with a similar scenario of an Empire that became too big for its head and lost its sense of reality in policies and relations with other nations.
As for the US policy on Turkey, I think the US is making a horrific error, much like their previous support for Taliban. The US openly supports groups that promoted terror attacks on Turkey for over a decade. Most Americans don’t know this. Nor do they know that the US is threatening Turkey to open up several US bases and if Turkey doesn’t give, it faces destabilization or freeze of IMF Loans.
I think most Americans should be happy that the Turks are only making movies showing their frustations. If it turns to actions, it can get deadly and destructive for the US.
