Check Your Own Notes

Scott McClellan brought up a great point today about the recent screeching from the Democrats:

The White House is wading into the congressional spat over the run-up to war in Iraq. A day after Democrats forced a surprise closed-door Senate session, White House press secretary Scott McClellan said Democrats might want to check their own notes from the pre-war years.

“If Democrats want to talk about the threat that Saddam Hussein posed and the intelligence, they might want to start with looking at the previous administration and their own statements that they’ve made,” McClellan said Wednesday.

He said the Clinton administration and fellow Democrats “used the intelligence to come to the same conclusion that Saddam Hussein and his regime were a threat.”

But McClellan did not directly respond when a reporter noted that the Clinton administration did not use that conclusion to go to war, reports CBS News Correspondent Peter Maer.

Didn’t go to war? Um, hello:

Not only against soldiers, but against civilians, firing Scud missiles at the citizens of Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iran. And not only against a foreign enemy, but even against his own people, gassing Kurdish civilians in Northern Iraq,” the president explained.

Setting an ominous tone, the president declared, “The international community had little doubt then, and I have no doubt today, that left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will use these terrible weapons again.”

I guess it’s not a war if you only bomb people instead of shoot bullets and you get the MSM to look the other way. Additionally, it’s funny how no one brings up the fact that Clinton was being impeached at the time he ordered the bombing, why is that?

Maybe I should just use the below statements as my signature until the Dummycrats figure out they can’t hide from their past:
