I cannot believe she will really get elected to the House. Is NY that stupid?

No grasp of history, no grasp on reality of socialism, this is the face of the Democrat Party as per the head of DNC.

Since when do liberals have to know what they are talking about in order to get their ignorant following to believe them.

We kinda cut her off here, didn’t we? I suppose that was necessary to make a bogus point. Here’s the entire Firing Line interview.

She’s actually quite intelligent and insightful. Unlike many, she openly acknowledges both her strengths and weaknesses. Like it or not, she’s part of the nation’s political future. She’ll be here when we’re long gone.

@Greg: Looks like you’re ready to vote for another socialist if that is what you are directed to do.

Leaving Puerto Rico to struggle along after the Hurricane Maria catastrophe won’t be without significant political consequences. All of those Puerto Ricans who have been forced by circumstances to come to the mainland will become voters. They won’t be voting for republicans. Nor has free market capitalism been particularly kind to the island population—largely because they really aren’t allowed to participate in a free market. The island has been held economically captive. Its crippling debt is part of a financial sector shake-down. Post-Maria, it has been targeted by vulture-capitalists. They’ll move in to buy for pennies on the dollar.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s mother is Puerto Rican.

@Kitt: Are liberals who dream of socialism here wringing their hands and shedding more crocodile tears for these children? They sympathies always seem to fade when the misery is of their making and they cannot possibly devise a political use for it.

@Greg: Puerto Rican officials charged with stealing aid

Seems where ever you have aid money and liberals, you have corruption and stealing. Puerto Rico was kept weak, poor and decrepit by the liberals than ran the place and after the hurricane mismanage and destroy aid materials to further a political agenda.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s mother is Puerto Rican.

Yes, we’ve heard about her poverty-stricken upbringing. More liberal lies, anyone?

@Greg: Puerto Ricos probems have been caused by who they voted in. We know the girls history, spoiled Rich girl that took up a useless degree that had her take a job tending bar.
The US government did not take out loans in PRs name did they? If they vote for the same destruction they left they deserve to live in ruined democrat cities https://eaglerising.com/1912/democrats-run-americas-ten-poorest-cities/

The incumbent she beat in the primary is (might be?) mounting a 3rd party or write-in campaign to get his office back.
She will win if Dems are so dumb in general compared with the few who came out to vote in the primary.
She got 14,000 votes.
In the General election as many as 67,000 Dems show up to vote.
The incumbent had always gotten almost all of those votes in the past.
So, we’ll see if they just pull “D” or if they look for his name.

Puerto Ricos probems have been caused by who they voted in.

Many of Puerto Rico’s problems have to do with conditions and constraints imposed upon the island by the U.S. Congress, where they have no vote.

We know the girls history, spoiled Rich girl that took up a useless degree that had her take a job tending bar.

Then why does she scare you?

Maybe you should send Donald down again to throw out some more rolls of paper towels. More people died as a result of Maria than Hurricane Katrina.

@Greg: She doesnt scare me any more than a suspicious mole that changes color, the creeping ideology so accepted by a certain political party.
A political system that has never been successful . But has dragged very a rich country with vast resources into ruin in under 20 years.
You think PR is not responsible for any of its own problems, free electricity for the government and the electric company cannot afford to upgrade in 40 years. Those loans they took out where did the money go infrastructure? 35 billion the rest is interest where did all that money go?
Funny no federal income tax but expect the federal government to bail them out.
Your complaint about pennies on the dollar should there be no investment on the island? Let all the empty houses and land of those that left go back to jungle? Seems investment then rebuilding could be a boon for the island beautiful resorts tourists spending cash.

@Greg:

Then why does she scare you?

SCARE me? Hell, this is GREAT! Good luck using that “girl from Bronx” bullshit. She’s just another rich liberal pushing socialism… for everyone else.

Maybe you should send Donald down again to throw out some more rolls of paper towels.

Nah. Democrats would just steal them. It’s what liberals do when their is a crisis. They steal and corrupt, enrich themselves at the expense of others. Liberals in Puerto Rico have been stealing aid, getting rich and blaming mean old racist Republicans. It’s what liberals do.

Which States Rely the Most on Federal Aid? It kinda looks like conservative red states take the prize for reliance on federal aid. But let’s not let the facts get in the way of a good anti-liberal lie.

Liberals in Puerto Rico have been stealing aid, getting rich and blaming mean old racist Republicans.

Got any evidence?

Truth be told, you don’t actually have a clue about the politics of Puerto Rico, do you? They don’t break out along conventional stateside republican or democratic lines. They’re either pro-Commonwealth, pro-Statehood, or more rarely pro-Independence. The two main positions each have both republican and democratic-leaning supporters.

@Greg:

Got any evidence?

Yeah, I provided it above. Also, the evidence of the Clinton’s raising millions and millions of dollars to “help” Haiti and… well, look at Haiti. All better, right?

Whatever the overall politics of Puerto Rico is, what is shown is that individual LIBERAL mayors have been stealing aid and keeping those in poverty IN poverty, a Democrat mainstay.

Oh, and watching the entire video of the left’s new darling? Yeah, she’s a moron. No wonder the left loves her.

@Deplorable Me, #16:

Yeah, I provided it above.

No, you did not.

If two corrupt local officials accurately define the nature of an entire political party or ideology, what does that say about the Trump administration and the GOP?

You’ve made a general statement. For the truth of that, you have provided no evidence whatsoever. What you’ve provided is an example of a common logical fallacy: a faulty generalization.

@Greg: Uh… FIVE. You didn’t include Cruz and the Clinton’s. Oh, sorry. SIX, if we throw in Chelsea, since her name in on the Foundation now. Perhaps more indicative of this culture of theft is how you leftists DEFEND and EXCUSE it.

Most Trump supporters seem to have little or no understanding of the fundamental rules of logic.

(You can decide for yourself if that’s another example of a faulty generalization or not.)

@Greg: No, it’s neither generalization nor faulty. Liberals like big government because there is lots of money floating around and government bureaucracy never tracks it effectively. Liberals grab all they can. It’s how the Clinton’s, Pelosi, Schumer, Waters, Sanders, etc. all got rich.
