Ugh: Al Gore Just Had an “Extremely Interesting” Conversation About Climate Change With Ivanka Trump… and Donald Trump Himself

Loading

Ace:

Ivanka’s a stone-cold liberal and climate alarmist (naturally), and she’s one of Trump’s closest advisers. He seems to trust her more than anyone else.

So it’s a problem that she was meeting with him.

It’s even more of a problem that Trump decided to show up for the meeting himself.

I hope there’s enough people warning Trump on this.

s Donald Trump continues to indicate that he might be willing to change his position on climate change, which he has long called a “hoax,” the president-elect met Monday with former vice president Al Gore, who has become a prominent activist in the fight against global warming.Gore was originally scheduled to meet just with Trump’s oldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, who is not registered with a political party and has already pushed her father to adopt positions usually promoted by Democrats. Gore told reporters that after that meeting, he then had “an extremely interesting conversation” with the president-elect.

“I had a lengthy and very productive session with the president-elect. It was a sincere search for areas of common ground,” Gore told reporters after spending about 90 minutes at Trump Tower in Manhattan during the lunch-hour on Monday. “I had a meeting beforehand with Ivanka Trump. The bulk of the time was with the president-elect, Donald Trump. I found it an extremely interesting conversation, and to be continued, and I’m just going to leave it at that.”

I’ve got that queasy feeling coming on again. I knew we wouldn’t win.

Al Gore is a con man and a fruad a false prophet looking to make himself a few prophets crookedly and dishonestly He is selling Snake Oil to the world

This is all part of The Art Of The Deal.
Meet with opposites.
Find areas of common ground.
Then, when you do what you were going to do anyway, these opposites feel as though, at least, they were consulted.
They feel as if their POV was taken into account.
Heck, a President Trump might even throw Al Gore a bone!
I imagine there are areas where they totally agree.
In stripping the EPA of 90% of its area of operation, President Trump is committed to keeping protections for clean water and clean air.
Al Gore might even be happy with getting what President Trump was going to do in the 1st place!

I see that Hollywood hypotcrite Leonardo DiCaprio has sent Mrs Trump a DVD of his latests propeganda film BEFORE THE FLOOD frankly it should be listed in the Science Fiction catigory

The victory of stupidity:

Trump to name Scott Pruitt, Oklahoma attorney general suing EPA on climate change, to head the EPA

Corporate lawyers, you see, know more about climate than climate scientists. Particularly when they’re also long-time republican establishment insiders in the pocket of the fossil fuel industry.

NASA: Earth is warming at a pace ‘unprecedented in 1,000 years’

Hey, don’t worry about that! We’re going to fix what NASA says, too! Then there will be no problem!

A Climate Denier is Leading the NASA Transition

One might think democracy has failed—were it not for the fact that a majority of American voters didn’t vote for any of this. With ballots still being counted, the number that voted against Trump now exceeds the number that voted for him by over 2.6 million. If you genuinely believe that margin consists of illegal aliens, I’ll take that as a confirmation of my initial observation.

@Greg:

Man made climate change is a farce and a political hoax. Trump would be serving the People best by ignoring the whack-a-doodle faux scientists who promote this hoax.

Of course the science is all a hoax. After all, multi-billion dollar fossil fuel industries, other special interests that profit most when the consequences of their behaviors are ignored, and their paid tools and disinformation apparatus are telling you so—just like the effing tobacco industry told you for decades that there was no connection between their products and 500,000 unnecessary early deaths per year, scientific evidence notwithstanding.

What do people not yet understand about the fact that big-money special interests will suppress information and lie to them to protect their cash flow?

Did you know that it’s been suspected for well over a decade now that a class of common, very widely used over-the-counter medications greatly increase their users’ risk of cancer and irreversible dementia, and that medical researchers consider the evidence for this to be very strong? If you’re curious, look up ” anticholinergic drugs and dementia.” What you’ll find—from entirely credible sources, not from goofy alternative health product websites—is just plain scary. So, why have you seen no news stories, when Alzheimer’s is epidemic? Why is there not even a word of warning on your bottle of benadryl?

Look at a list of drugs that fall into that category, and take note of how many are on the drug store and grocery store shelves. We’re talking billions of dollars per year, just in over-the-counter products.

I don’t trust corporate America, and with damn good reason. I have trusted the place where science and government overlap far more. Soon I won’t be able to trust that either, because government is being turned over to corporate America, lock, stock and barrel. Corporate America is going to regulate the regulators. The foxes will truly be put in charge of the hen house.

$107,516 for Turbines That Would Generate $1.39/Day of Electricity — If They Were Running

At last the need for Common Core math becomes clear. It is needed to make the numbers add up for green energy boondoggles. Conventional math isn’t up to the job. From the state of Washington:

Three windmill-like turbines loom motionless over the city of Port Angeles’ new Waterfront Park.

The $107,516 spires stand immobile more than two months after they were erected and more than a year after the city council approved them. …

They have not been activated because the city is involved in an inspection-related dispute with the manufacturer, UGE International Ltd. of New York City, Community and Economic Development Director Nathan West said last week.

The impasse could be resolved by January, after projects with a higher priority are taken care of, West said.

Spending money on asinine green energy projects is a top priority. Getting them to function at even a minimal level, not so much.

The turbines will power the 31 lights that illuminate the park, Deputy Power Systems Manager Shailesh Shere said last week.

They had better get this show on the road. Once the turbines start to move, they will generate $1.39 worth of electricity per day. That means it will take 212 years for them to pay for themselves, assuming there are no maintenance or repair costs.

According to Shere,

“Considering the harsh [salty] environment, the equipment may not last 25 years.”

Time’s a-wasting, bureauweenies. Get those turbines turning.
