Rep. Larry Kissel, NC-8, won’t endorse Obama and doesn’t know if he’ll attend the convention (in his own state!).
Haden Rogers, NC-11, won’t endorse and says he has “no plans” to attend.
Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas won’t attend the convention. No mention of his endorsement plans.
They join this list of non-attendees (some of whom also declined to endorse Obama over Romney):
Unfortunately they will still vote for him and with him on critical issues! Manchin voted for obamacare even after saying he was opposed to it. Manchin is walking a fine line in WV. They seem close to becoming a conservative state. As a popular sitting Governor, Manchin barely won the Senate seat. The reps in NC are concerned about the move in NC towards conservative voting. If they distance themselves from barry they hope to avoid the purge coming in November.
So what? We liberals don’t require allegiance, like conservatives.
I’m not buying this. If all these stories are true, this far out from the election, it will be a Republican Land-slide.
Not buying it.
@Liberal1 (objectivity): You don’t even require intelligence!!
@Liberal1 (objectivity):
That’s right. No blood oath to Grover Norquest is required. Democrats don’t roll over and pee on themselves anytime Wayne LaPierre enters the room.
@Liberal1 (objectivity):
No, liberals don’t require allegiance. But only to specific ideas and parts of ideology. What liberal/progressives DO require is a nearly ironclad allegiance to the idea that central government control over citizens’ lives is the endgame. The final goal. And the allegiance by liberal/progressives to that idea is the exact antithesis to individual freedom and liberty.
As for conservatives, I believe that you have it wrong. Are we willing to vote in someone who we cannot relate to completely? Yes, we are. But only as a measure of defense against the spreading idea of central control over citizens’ lives that liberal/progressives are seeking to implement.
