Trump Tweet Should Clear Up Any Confusion About Whether Or Not He Means To Fight

As ballots are still being found and counted in several states, the Trump campaign is preparing to have a press conference in Nevada (livestream here), likely announcing an election-related lawsuit there as they did Wednesday in Pennsylvania. Trump, even as races tighten in the Keystone State, Georgia, and Arizona, is putting to rest any question as to whether or not he means to easily concede should it come to that and is instead gearing up for the fight of his life, at least according to his Twitter account.

It may be an uphill climb, but it’s exactly what Trump’s supporters have come to expect from him — and may end up being the very thing that pushes the issue of electoral fraud to the front burner for all Americans after years of concerns from conservatives that such fraud was regularly happening.

The question, as Trump alludes to, is whether there is enough proof to make the case that recounts are necessary in states that are accepting late ballots or that received ballots early in the morning when GOP challengers were either not on the scene to observe counts  or were forcibly removed from counting rooms.

While many pundits and news outlets seem to have already called the race for Biden, and a wing of conservatism is already signaling defeat, Trump has no intention, if his Twitter account is to be believed, of taking his cues from those suggestions. As The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway put it:

Democrats pissed and moaned about the 2016 election, claiming it was stolen, but they didn’t demand any investigations. They knew if any irregularities would be found, it would be THEIR irregularities; fraud, suppression and illegal immigrants voting by the thousands. When Trump called for investigations of voter fraud, California, for one, refused to cooperate, for reasons that should be obvious.

This moron the Democrats propped up to pretend to be a candidate for President never had a chance to win and they knew it. Their brilliant strategy was to keep Hidin’ Biden out of sight, and his few “rallies” showed why. People flocked to see him by the one’s. Sometimes there was enough to have a softball game. They’d worked for 4 years preparing their fraud game, just as Biden admitted, and then COVID gave them the excuse to demand massive vote by mail, the easiest fraud there is.

It’s no surprise that fraud is being exposed and who is behind it.

If Biden wins both the popular and electoral vote by state certified counts, there’s no way the court would overturn that. They know doing so would overturn the nation’s constitutional electoral process. Handing Trump a second term if he loses the election wouldn’t be worth the risk of the national disaster that could follow.

If he wins illegally – THAT WOULD BE NATIONAL DISASTER!

Trump’s lawyers don’t get to determine what is or isn’t lawful about state election processes. The conduct of elections are constitutionally under the authority of individual states. Suits filed in state court will be decided by state courts, which I presume will be protective of state authority. Federal suits would ultimately go to the Supreme Court, which will not overturn the result of a presidential election. They won’t destroy the nation to keep any particular president in office.

We’re having a presidential election. That’s how we decide who becomes president in January, like the result or not. That’s how Trump became president, despite losing the popular vote and despite many questions having to do with how the electoral college win came about. It is what it is. If the opposition party wants to politically resist the will of the president who has been elected, that’s a legitimate part of our system.

@Greg: You just dont get it. Wisconsin beat back Bidens slip and fall lawyers attempting to change our election laws on a whim. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/26/in-wisconsin-ruling-supreme-court-foreshadows-election-night-cliffhanger-432725.
If you could kindly provide the elections law in PA, if there were there what were the court cases over?

The only way it would have been possible for all states to announce their final counts on election night would have been by effectively disenfranchising millions of eligible voters who weren’t able to go to their polling places to cast their ballots.

In many places there had already been ridiculously long waits in line to vote. This year, COVID-19 promised to make that risky for many people. Simultaneously, serious concerns arose about the ability of the postal service to handle a huge spike in mailed ballots.

“Justice Brett Kavanaugh conjured up the specter of such a protracted battle as he argued in favor of allowing states to maintain firm deadlines requiring absentee ballots to be received by election officials on Election Day” less than two weeks before the election. So what specter would it have conjured up if his opinion had prevailed?

That’s simple enough, given that Democratic Party voters were using mail voting to a much greater degree than Republican Party voters. Curtailing mail voting would have simply handed the election to Donald Trump by drastically reducing the overall turnout.

That’s a tactic that the Trump campaign is pursuing even now, via court efforts to have timely submitted mailed ballots thrown out. In Texas, they tried to have timely submitted ballots thrown out because they were submitted via official drive-up drop boxes.

@Greg:

Since you are devoted fan of Schiff, I can understand how you don’t understand how things like laws and challenges work. Democrats manufactured this chaos solely to exploit it for election fraud.

Bullsh!t.

Mail in ballots are generally sent out 45-60 days before the election. Counties should be announcing (on their county website) when ballots are going to be sent with instructions that if you don’t receive your ballot in a timely manner, to contact who ever is in charge of elections in that county. Indiana ballots went out by September 21, if the counties were following the law.

In many places there had already been ridiculously long waits in line to vote.

Anticipating turn out is the responsibility of the counties. There are election laws that state the minimum polling locations required but that doesn’t mean that more polling locations cannot be added. If there are long lines, it is due to the failure of county elections officers.

This year, COVID-19 promised to make that risky for many people.

“Coronavirus task force chief Dr. Anthony Fauci said in an interview with National Geographic this week that in-person voting will be as safe as going to the grocery store as long as people follow posted safety guidelines. He added that those who are at high risk or “compromised physically” should take advantage of normal absentee voting methods.”

Simultaneously, serious concerns arose about the ability of the postal service to handle a huge spike in mailed ballots.

Well, we do know that there have been instances of postal workers throwing away ballots which wind up in dumpsters and other places.

That’s simple enough, given that Democratic Party voters were using mail voting to a much greater degree than Republican Party voters. Curtailing mail voting would have simply handed the election to Donald Trump by drastically reducing the overall turnout.

Again, more bullsh!t from you. Can you show me any law that prevented people from sending back their ballot in time to be counted on Election Day when those ballots are going out six weeks to two months before Election Day?

You’re a liar. And a Commie idiot.
