Trump and Pro-Athletes Spar Over Flag, National Anthem, White House Visit; Lefties Scream Racism

Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion:

Twitter has been afire today with the controversy about Stephen Curry going to the White House and reactions to President Trump’s speech in Alabama.

During President Trump’s speech at a rally for Luther Strange (R-AL), he addressed the growing trend among NFL players to kneel disrespectfully during the national anthem.  Trump asked, ““Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say ‘get that son of a b***h off the field right now – he’s fired’?”.

Most people hearing or reading this comment recognize that the president is referring to the disrespectful kneeling “protest” that involves football (and other sports) players deliberately taking a knee during the national anthem.

The Warriors’ Stephen Curry hesitated when asked about whether he would attend the White House celebration, and Trump responded by rescinding the invitation to Curry.

The left, as always, hears RAAACISM not patriotism in the president’s comments.  They are subsequently completely unhinged in their response to their own fevered and deliberate misinterpretation of Trump’s comments.

Then-49er Colin Kaepernick who started this disturbing trend in response to the short-lived Black Lives Matter explained his rationale last year to NFL Media.

NFL reports:

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

The resulting controversy was explosive, and Kaepernick has had trouble finding a new team since leaving the 49ers.

Since then, more and more players have started kneeling for the anthem, including at least one white player.

The president’s comments, reflective of a lot of Americans’ thoughts on the issue, were received as racist apparently because the majority of NFL players who take a knee during the anthem are black or brown.  Therefore, according to leftist logic, any criticism of these players’ actions is not about the players’ actions at all; it has to be—can only be—about their race.

The NFL issued the following statement:

Just so we are all clear: it is not disrespectful or divisive to take a knee during the national anthem, but it is disrespectful and divisive to speak out against it.

Ah yes, because Trump never attacks white people. Or something.

https://twitter.com/Chet_Cannon/status/911645285050458114

Washington Redskins’ linebacker Zach Brown makes a potentially arguable point, that football has nothing to do with the President.

For the point to stand, however, it has to work both ways.  Football is no place for political protests, either.

@Greg: Actually Greg, they were being disrespectful to the flag and the country. It is only you and the democrats who also are disrespectful. These player had many venues to display their displeasure with situations or people. They chose to violate a national code with disrespect. You show your disrespect by failing to understand.

@Greg: I guess there is another answer. Maybe those athletes who have everything and you are just plain ignorant as to what most of this country thinks of them and you for showing your disrespect. I work in what your God described as “fly over country”. Contrary to what HRC and Your God believe, these people believe that these players and you Democrats are disrespectful to the flag and the our country as well as those who sacrificed for our country. They have voted with their channel changers, money and their allegiance to what once was a favorite sport. For the same reason, many of us here refer to you as a POS!

Phony patriots and phony Christians are all big on going through the motions. It’s no substitute for authenticity, which is a much harder thing.

@Greg: So you are relegated to this. My comments must have hit the mark! Sam Clemens described this type of response when a debating opponent had no evidence or valid argument. You have basically admitted you are what we think you are.

@Randy: If he cared so much for his country he should have served it RATHER THAN COWARDLY DUCK IT
Get off your horse COL, Not a single Eagles player knelt during the National Anthem—many chose not to come because they don’t like Trump—DT’S feelings hurt–took his ball and went home.

This guy is a terrible role model for our proud country. Why the hell are you so enamored with him? I REFUSED TO VOTE FOR DT OR HRC.

Semper Fi

Greg No doubt Trump is a phony Patriot and a phony Christian Thank you for your service.

@Greg:

Phony patriots

That’s the left’s view of our military.

@Richard Wheeler: All of us serve our country in different ways. I expect he will have more favorable impact on our country that most who served in the military. You are predictable Rich. You just asked me to discard my patriotism for my country because you lack it. Well Rich unlike you, my personal values require me to continue every day to serve my country and the things I believe in. What do you do every day to serve your country? You just wrap that old uniform around you and pretend you are a patriot and care.

@Randy: Philly mayor says DT “a fragile egomaniac obsessed with crowd size.” TRUE
Don’t you understand Trump could care less about this country–he’s playing politics riling up his minority base by waving a flag he never served—he’s a pure phony and you and others have bit.
I care greatly for my country and serve it whenever called–my uniform and my body still in great shape–thank you
Do yourself a favor and take a harder look at this guy—is he really what you currently think he is—time will show Trump’s true colors to those who blindly follow him—he’s dividing the country.

@Richard Wheeler: So being a Democrat gives him the credentials to diagnose Trump? You are so ignorant! Next you will be quoting Nancy Pelosi ! At least she knows about mental illnesses.

@Randy: Isn’t it odd how liberals can excuse one of their liberal icons for dodging the draft by leaving the country and, from his safe perch, wrote how he “loathed the military” yet consider a medical deferment “cowardice”? All it takes is a “D” or an “R” by their name, a “D” getting the get out of hating America free card. They even worship the corrupt wife of this coward who maintains the same hatred for the military. This hypocrisy provides all the insight into what these liberals truly think of America you need.

@Randy: He’s the mayor of the S.B. champs–he’s seen the good works these young men have ACTUALLY done in his city of brotherly love. He’s seen and heard the divisive actions and rhetoric of POTUS
He supports his players. Good for him.

@Randy:

What do you do every day to serve your country?

Does defending ANTIFA and wanting to fight side by side with them count?

@Deplorable Me:I believe it was Kitt who accurately described Rich as pretending to be a patriot by wrapping his old frayed uniform around himself. Yes, a D or an R makes a difference to them.

@Richard Wheeler: So that makes him an expert on the mentality of the president. You are so ignorant or you are suffering from mental illness yourself! You and the Mayor both missed the point of the debate.

@another vet: Every day, I fly the flag. I belong to three different Veteran organizations and help raise funds to help those who are not able. I serve as a committee chairman for Colorado House District to get out people to vote and to explain current issues. I also still work providing guidance to soldiers that assists them in avoiding short and long term illnesses. I organize veteran participation in the local parades for 4th of July and Veterans Day. I had a major role in the recent Memorial Day ceremonies. I participate in annual elementary school events where I discuss various issues. I had a major role in initiating a program at my church to recognize military members serving in the US and abroad. I contact 2 soldiers I served in Iraq with on a weekly basis to sound them out for suicidal thoughts. They both were awarded 100% disability for PTSD and TBI. I also have been requested to provide leadership seminars for basket ball teams at the local high schools. Most of all, I reply to those who would destroy our country like Greg and Rich either through their ignorance or ideology. None of us can allow their ideology to succeed or the USA will look much like those countries who suffered under the Soviets.

@another vet: “Wanting to fight side by side with Antifa”–
You wanna fight side by side with the KKK?.

Lets show some sanity AV.

I don’t think the old guard Conservatives here like Word and Mata and Aqua and Aye Chi would be as enthralled with Trump as Randy obviously is.

@Richard Wheeler: The alternative is a criminal DS. He also is doing more than drawing a line in the sand and trashing our health programs and economy. You are too ignorant to recognize that. Still stuck on stupid!

@Randy: Randy—you are obviously the stupid one here—time will tell the results of having elected such a destructive egomaniac.

@Richard Wheeler: Right Rich. My retirement account is up over 40% over the past 18 months. We no longer have to allow our sons and daughters to fight a war with both hands tied behind their backs. The intelligence organizations have been reigned in and can no longer negatively affect citizens by improper procedures with out consequences. Many of our rights have been restored, yet everyone but you is stupid. Right. Maybe you should seek mental health.
help.

@Richard Wheeler:

Just noticed your ol gal pal’s 177—where the hell did she go.?

I suspect she’s gone to where I am most of the time. Communicating with people with good sense instead of Anti-American morons as so many on this site have become. I’m not going into naming names, but many on this site have totally gone off the deep end, criticizing everything about this great country and finding fault with everything while sitting here harping about letting more illegals, including huge numbers of muslims until we get to a place in this country where we won’t be able to have the freedom to write on blogs. There is not one liberal on this site that have enough brains to make a sensible statement, not one. Other than that………..

@Richard Wheeler:

Trump’s the one with the problem–cancelling a Super Bowl visit–why–never done before.

Isl there really a reason why you have distorted the truth so much? Isn’t the truth good enough? The Eagles cancelled the team visit. Yes a few said they were still going to be honored, but most are clearly anti-American and there is nothing about them that says ‘Champions’ of anything. A whole bunch of anti-American bitchers. I hope they all get injured next season and are no longer able to play the game.

@Greg:198

To me, the frequency with which unarmed black people are shot by police is a more likely indication of racism

how do you think the incident of black people shot by black people compares with the number of black people shot by police? Do you think a black person shooting a black person is racism? if not, why not? What if the policeman that shoots a black person is black, is that racism? if not, why not? I don’t think you’ve given this much thought, or you wouldn’t have attempted a subject so beyond your knowledge.

@Richard Wheeler: 205

If he cared so much for his country he should have served it RATHER THAN COWARDLY DUCK IT

RW, be a man and admit that the truth is DT was rejected for military service by a military doctor that gave him a qualifying physical. If you had failed your physical given when you were qualifying medically, you would not have been permitted to serve. Would that make you any less an American? Would that have made you a coward? Why do you want to blame Trump for your anti-Americanism? If you can honestly say that you think the NFL players disrespecting the National Anthem is an honorable thing to do, then I can state that you need to continue to try to get your refund from your College, high school and kindergarten for their clear failure to teach you anything.

@Deplorable Me: 210 deplorable, actually BC is a pardoned felony draft dodger, pardoned with a blanket pardon by peanut Carter in 79. Since Trump was NOT a draft dodger, the pardon did not cover him.

@Richard Wheeler:

He’s the mayor of the S.B. champs–he’s seen the good works these young men have ACTUALLY done in his city of brotherly lo

There is no way in hell that you or the mayor of the Cons of the NFL can name ten ‘good works’ done by the entire NFL Philly team. NO WAY.

@Randy: My mental and physical health are just fine Randy–at nearly 74 running 30 minute 5k’s and benching 200 about the same numbers as 25 years ago–stock market was up over 100% during BHO’S 8 YEARS

I’ve never taken a med—maybe you should adjust yours.

@Redteam: Trump cancelled the visit. Not a single Eagles player kneeled during the playing of The Anthem—Trump disapproved by 60% of the American people–why should it be any different with the athletes?

@Redteam: @Redteam: You can not fix stupid. I keep forgetting that. I like to think that all people are intelligent clear thinking people who really want to embrace the truth. Then I remember that some people allow their minds to be taken over with mind numbing ideology. They are the same type of people I encountered in college in the 60s who joined SDS and bombed agricultural buildings because they were there. Keep up your efforts to provide them with facts, but our efforts to enlighten them is likely to never succeed.

@Redteam:

There is not one liberal on this site that have enough brains to make a sensible statement, not one. Other than that…

This is rampant among liberals. I don’t know how, but I get NYT notifications on my Facebook feed. Since I don’t pay the NYT to feed me liberal propaganda, I can’t read the articles, but I can read the comments and, let me tell you, a more whiny, crybaby, hateful, ignorant batch of sore losers will not be found anywhere. I am sure there are some exceptions… somewhere… but liberals are totally eaten up with vile, bitter, self-inflicted hatred against anything that did not serve to put Hillary in office.

I don’t think you’ve given this much thought, or you wouldn’t have attempted a subject so beyond your knowledge.

Liberals don’t give anything much thought. They are told what to think and what to say in response to those who DO think for themselves, but that argument won’t usually survive the first encounter.

@Deplorable Me: 210 deplorable, actually BC is a pardoned felony draft dodger, pardoned with a blanket pardon by peanut Carter in 79. Since Trump was NOT a draft dodger, the pardon did not cover him.

I have such sympathy for those in the military that have to serve under such scum as Clinton or Obama. I have know servicemen who did and their disgust for their Commander in Chief was clear, though they still carried out their duties to their country. Imagine a soldier who has earned the Congressional Medal of Honor and has to receive it from such an America-hating turd as Obama.

When someone that has supported Clinton (either one is anti-military) yet criticizes Trump for not serving, their hypocrisy and blind hatred disqualifies any of their remarks from serious consideration. Add to that the fear of answering any questions about their remarks and you have a total zero.

Trump disapproved by 60% of the American people–why should it be any different with the athletes?

See what I mean? Liars cannot admit to the fact that Trump’s approval rating is above what Obama’s was at this time in his term, even with 92% negative treatment from the biased, corrupt, liberal media.

@Deplorable Me: RW considers “not one Eagle kneeled for the anthem all year’ as an accomplishment. Respect for the country, and it’s national anthem, is for the country that gives you the freedom and the right to protest the things that you do not agree with. So it’s kind of a conundrum to claim the right to protest something that stands for the right to protest something. It’s kind of strange to claim they’re ‘using a right’ that they’re also saying they are being denied. The Eagles had initially responded to the request that over 70 players and coaches would be attending, then they revised it to about 10 would be attending, then they revised it to 2 or 3 would be attending and requested if it could be delayed for a week (the week of the N Korean negotiations). Since it was obvious that they were ‘playing a game’ Trump politely ‘beat them’ at their own game. So you can say Trump canceled it as long as it makes an anti-American feel good to say it, but it ain’t so. Did you start your paperwork on your refund, RW?

@Redteam:

: RW considers “not one Eagle kneeled for the anthem all year’ as an accomplishment. Respect for the country, and it’s national anthem, is for the country that gives you the freedom and the right to protest the things that you do not agree with.

I suppose some people feel that respecting our national anthem, flag and servicemen and women is a chore or imposition. For me, it feels good… sometimes sad, but good overall. At any rate, I LIKE doing it, as opposed to some whiny turd that gets a feeling of accomplishment when they disrespect the nation that provides them with all the opportunity they have.

So, the Eagle could hold back their feelings of hatred for our nation for 19 games but couldn’t must enough respect to make a trip to the White House? Now, that’s maturity and discipline. Sure, their stupid gesture (or “JESTER”, as in fool) makes some of their fellow anti-American haters grin and giggle, but there is also a large portion of the country that simply wish adults could ACT like adults and cease with the bitter, divisive, liberal grudge. But, as we have seen, the left has total and complete disregard and disrespect for those patriotic citizens.

Egomaniacs like Obama loved to have celebrities and sports figures slobbering all over him. Trump shows them he could not care less; all he cares about is the country. I kind of love that.

@Randy: So you and RT will be my purveyors of truth–I look forward to it.
You can begin by informing RT WHO cancelled the POTUS/EAGLES WH meeting—-just noticed in 230 he admitted his error–that’s a good start for him

RT has always been a purveyor of slurs to be expected from an “enlisted” Trumpeteer.
I’d expect more from an Officer and Gentleman like yourself but maybe your intention is to emulate Trump’s boorishness as well

We’ll see Semper Fi

@Deplorable Me:

So, the Eagle could hold back their feelings of hatred for our nation for 19 games but couldn’t must enough respect to make a trip to the White House? Now, that’s maturity and discipline.

You would think that professional football players, most that have actually been students at colleges, would be able to display a small modicum of maturity, but, nope, none of that on the Eagles team. All a bunch of immature America haters that want Americans to support what they’re doing. They haven’t learned, yet, that shooting yourself in the foot might become painful.

@rich wheeler:

-just noticed in 230 he admitted his error–that’s a good start for him

Hope you’ve gotten your refund request in the mail. I see you still have not developed the reading ability that you should have been taught 68 years ago. So, let me get this straight. You think that when you accept an invitation for the team to attend and then you inform the host that 70 will be attending, then 10 will be attending, then 3 will be attending ‘if you can delay it a week’ and then the event is cancelled that it is the ‘host’ that cancelled it? You don’t ‘really’ believe that, do you? Let me know when you get enrolled in your ‘learn to read’ course and if your refund isn’t enough to cover it, I will contribute.

an “enlisted” Trumpeteer.

In your world, what’s an ‘enlisted’ Trumpeteer? I’ve never enlisted nor been sworn into any support group for any politician. I’m going to guess that your ‘enlisted’ vs “officer and gentleman’ statement is supposed to be a slur on the fact that I was an enlisted person in the US Navy vs being an officer. Let me know if that was your intent, I can fill you in on some differences. I consider my service to have been an honor, not something for anti-Americans to make slurs over. You need help on paperwork on tuition refund?

@Redteam:

You would think that professional football players, most that have actually been students at colleges, would be able to display a small modicum of maturity, but, nope, none of that on the Eagles team.

You know, back when I played football, we were expected to meet a high standard of scholarship and behavior. Long before “no pass, no play” we were expected to have passing grades in all classes. If not, we weren’t kicked off the team… we got our asses busted. Being an “athlete” carried with it some responsibility. Now, I see kids who are treated like and think they are prima donnas that don’t have the rules others have to abide by. I don’t think this is healthy for the kids.

I expect my sports teams to BE a team, with team spirit and loyalty. Perhaps free agency has ruined that, but team loyalty no longer exists; individual performance and stats is all that is important. Now, if one of these players can’t be loyal to their COUNTRY, how can I believe they are loyal to the team?

Here’s what these petty punks were up to; they were wanting to dictate to the President of the United States when they would bless him with their presence… they they would back out again or show up and embarrass themselves with an act of stupidity (like one clown did at Trump’s celebration of patriotism… big hero of the hateful left). I get your point, but I like to believe that Trump cancelled it with a two word message, the first starting with “F” and the second being “YOU”. What’s more, I am absolutely glad he did.

@Deplorable Me, #206:

That’s the left’s view of our military.

That’s the left’s view of Trump’s personality cult. The military does not universally worship this man.

October 23, 2017 — Military Times Poll: What you really think about Trump

Overall, about 44 percent of all troops surveyed in the Military Times poll have a favorable view of Trump, while roughly 40 percent have an unfavorable opinion of him. That’s a stark contrast to opinion polls of the general public, which have shown Trump’s popularity at less than 40 percent and an unfavorable rating as high as 56 percent.

Yet, the poll of more than 1,100 active-duty troops, conducted in September, shows a deep divide over service members’ opinions of the commander in chief, whose first nine months in office have been marked by military policies that have drawn both praise and concern from Pentagon leaders.

While almost 48 percent of enlisted troops approve of Trump, only about 30 percent of officers say the same, the poll shows.

Februrary 8, 2018 — We asked, you voted: 89 percent said no to Trump’s military parade

@Greg:

We asked, you voted: 89 percent said no to Trump’s military parade

So funny. Ask any military person, A: Do you want to spend two weeks getting ready and one day in participating in a parade on July 4th. or do you B: rather take the day off and lie on the beach and drink beer? What do you choose? I’m amazed 11% chose hard work over relaxation, aren’t you?

@Greg:

That’s the left’s view of Trump’s personality cult. The military does not universally worship this man.

No, as I said, that is the view of the military the left maintains. It is demonstrated on a daily basis and the left’s choice of a protest based on racist lies over showing honor, respect and patriotism is only the latest example. And, no, not everyone in the military backs Trump, but there sure is more than supported Obama or either of the Clinton’s. Maybe a later poll would assuage your concerns. I wonder, did you watch Trump’s address to the Naval graduates? Did you see their show of enthusiasm when he said he would remain and shake their hands? I believe what you want to about the military… that’s what liberals do.

Some may not “approve” of Trump, but they HATED Obama and Clinton.

@rich wheeler: Well, if you could read, you would know that the Eagles kept reducing the number of people who would attend from 70 to only the quarter back, Trump canceled the event. Any sane person would have done that. I forgot to ask Rich, you were drafted weren’t you!

Some may not “approve” of Trump, but they HATED Obama and Clinton.

Another endlessly repeated bullshit claim.

No poll or survey of military personnel conducted at any time during his years in office ever indicated that they hated Barack Obama. There were some things he did that a majority of military personnel supported; there were other things that only had minority support.

Like Trump, it’s become acceptable to just say things, with no concern about whether or not they’re actually true. I don’t know if Trump has drawn such people to him, or if growing disregard for truth is part of the Trump effect.

Remember the young George Washington cherry tree fable? Now we’ve got Trump as our children’s roll model, holding a chainsaw and lying through his teeth about Obama having done it.

@Greg: Actually Greg, I work with the military daily and there are more who support Trump than any President since Reagan. Again, you make wrong guesses to try to justify your faulty opinions.

@Randy: I was not drafted. I joined Marine Corps PLC program freshman year in College and graduated 2nd LT in 1966.
Eagles had approx. 10 players and the coach who wanted to attend. DT felt disrespected and cancelled on those who wanted to come.

DT’s approval rating not higher than Obama’s. Active duty military approval of Trump only slightly higher than civilian approval—both south of 50%

@Redteam, #237:

Estimates of the cost of Trump’s military parade run from ten million to thirty million dollars.

Anthem protests: We sure could use a Rick Monday
By James M. Sandell

The news broke Monday morning that President Donald Trump had withdrawn his invitation to the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles to visit the White House on Tuesday. The White House had learned that approximately 80% of the team would skip this traditional event for sports champions. It stands to reason that the president felt that, by snubbing this honor, the players hoped to turn it into a political statement, and he wasn’t having any part of it.

I am a lifelong Eagles fan. I saw something special in this team last season, and I strove to block out all the noise generated in response to the various player protests that took place every Sunday during the National Anthem. I just wanted them to go away so we could enjoy our football.

My faith in my hometown team was rewarded. Despite their underdog status throughout the playoffs, and ultimately matching up in Super Bowl 52 against the New England Patriots – perhaps the greatest football dynasty in history – and all the while led by their backup quarterback, the Eagles pulled off the impossible and won it all. It was Philadelphia’s first Super Bowl victory.

Monday morning, right around the time the news broke about the canceled visit, I was walking into the Veterans Administration hospital in Philadelphia with my father. The Eagles were well represented in the sea of humanity entering and leaving the main entrance, green Eagles t-shirts and jerseys of current players and stars from bygone eras, all proudly donned by these Philly-area veterans before leaving their homes that morning.

One man stood out above this swirling mass – an elderly black man. He walked slowly, yet he wasn’t hunched over his cane like so many of his peers; he stood straight and dignified. More than dignified – he was defiant. He wore a black baseball cap, presumably with the name of the ship or division in which he had served, but before I could read those gold letters, my eyes were drawn to the front of his black t-shirt. There, three words were printed over the American flag…
Respect the Flag.

It’s as simple as that…because it’s what binds us together, and anything less is unacceptable. It’s the line that you cannot, must not cross. Perhaps if our beloved professional athletes spent a little time at the V.A. hospital, watching our veterans – black, white, Hispanic, Asian, men, women, young, old – hobble about on canes, walkers, prosthetic limbs, or passively shuttled in wheelchairs, lost in the maze that is the V.A., trying to get to their appointments on time, hoping there won’t be any unresolved red tape this time, that they will get to see their doctor – perhaps they’d find another medium to use as a platform for whatever they want to protest. Not the Anthem, and not the Flag.
Yesterday was D-Day. It’s been 74 years since our soldiers, displaying a bravery I can’t even fathom, emerged from their landing crafts under heavy fire and stormed beaches an ocean away to liberate a continent. I see some duly noted mention of this in the media today, but it smacks of routine – perhaps they are more focused on milking the last bit of outrage they can from this latest Trump versus the National Football League controversy. More focused on driving the wedge in, hammering it in deeper, splitting us apart…

My own thoughts began to stray and eventually touched down on my recollections of a baseball player from yesteryear named Rick Monday.
Rick Monday was in center field for the Chicago Cubs back on April 25, 1976, when two men emerged from the stands and walked out on to the outfield grass with an American flag…and a can of lighter fluid and a pack of matches.
While Dodger Stadium watched in horror, ex-Marine Monday sprinted from his position and snatched the flag away just before the protesters were able to put flame to it.

Back in 1976, Monday said, “I’ve visited too many V.A. hospitals and seen too many kids who were mangled trying to protect what it stands for.”
Forty years later, he noted, “What I knew was what they were doing was wrong then, and it’s wrong today. I had a lot of friends who lost their lives protecting the rights and freedoms that flag represented[.] … Maybe I was thinking about the drill instructors from boot camp. I didn’t want any of them saying, ‘Marine, why did you stand by and watch those guys burn that American flag?'”
Where have you gone, Rick Monday? Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you…

@Richard Wheeler: You are reading the wrong polls. Actually get off of your butt and meet some military people some day. They are the ones who believe people like you are failing to keep the oath you once took and now disregard. They like Trump because he talks plain language they understand and does not live by political correctness. When he sees a problem, he solves it instead of kicking it down the road. They also like the fact that he allows the decisions made in a war to be made by the commanders on the ground instead of a bunch of civilians in the White House. You vastly under estimate Trump’s support by the military. Just this week, I met with several hundred military personnel who are preparing to deploy, again. If you continue to make up statistics to support you liberal views, you will never know what the truth really is!

@Greg:

Estimates of the cost of Trump’s military parade run from ten million to thirty million dollars.

Better than giving it to Iran or the Palestinians to lob rockets onto Israel.

@Randy: The problem is Monday cares, but Tuesday through Sunday simply doesn’t give a shit. The left wants patriotism, like religion, to be regarded as a joke, an anarchism. Honoring other entities draws away from worship of the power of the State. They want to denigrate and make fun of anyone who stands by their religious beliefs (as long as they don’t involve blowing people up) or respects the flag for all that it represents.

I wonder if we will ever see our sailors on their knees with their hands tied behind them while Trump is President? If I had to guess, I’d say, under similar circumstances and in international waters, the answer would be no and that the Navy and every other branch of the service would support it resoundingly.

I also doubt that if Trump’s Secretary of State apologized to the pirates that boarded our vessel and caused this indignity, his job would survive the day.

Liberals live in a very strange world.

@Randy: Show me the stats that indicate active duty military support DT by over 50% –same for electorate—don’t cherry pick with Ras—show me a statistical average.
My home borders Camp Pendleton–I assist my Marines and their families on a regular basis—including food, clothing and monetary support for the families through organizations like VFW, my Church, and individually—“once a Marine always a Marine.”

Great story on Monday–remember it well.

@Richard Wheeler: you are the one who quoted stats. I said you are making them up. You show where your data comes from. You should get out of fantasy land you liberals live in and actually talk to military people. Get off your butt and talk to the real Marines at Pendleton! Then be sure to tell them about you anti-US posts and see if you really are accepted by real Marines.

@Randy: Feel free to go to Real Clear Politics anytime Randy—meantime you are going from your personal observations and nothing more.
Ras is ONLY poll that has DT at 49 % gen electorate approval Reuters, Gallup and others have him in low 40″s—but you know this I’m sure–
Where have I made any anti U.S posts? My support for Marine war heros Webb and Mueller?

As I told you-did you bother to read my #247-I talk to my neighbor Marines at Pendleton regularly—work out with many as well. Find no great love for Trump.

@Richard Wheeler: we were talking about the military or is your mind wandering again?
