As of the Democrat’s ham-handed handling of the House hearings and weak, incoherent articles left any possible doubt. It was just an exercise in poor sportsmanship and immaturity of the Democrats.

And yet each Article of Impeachment read before voting accurately described exactly what Trump is known to have done…
You just witnessed a betrayal.

@Greg: Really. Well, his “abuse of power” was for an incident that never even happened and the “obstruction” claimed Trump claimed Ukraine, not Russia, interfered in the 2016 election, which is also a lie.
Seems the majority of voters, and our constitutionally functioning government, don’t see it that way.
watching the hysteria of the Democrats think that if they keep repeating the sky is green that the rest of us will believe it is quite entertaining.
Trump has rightfully been acquitted. Now it’s time to go after every traitor that we can and throw them in jail if they are found guilty of breaking a law.

Ordering all material witnesses with direct, first-hand knowledge to defy congressional subpoenas and locking down ever single related document under Executive Branch control to conceal his own guilt was itself an abuse of power. That he did so is no “lie”.
Everybody knows that is exactly what Trump did, and everybody knows that Mitch McConnell and every republican Senator save one helped him to get away with it. What happened was as simple and easy to follow as the plot of a reality television show.
Seems the majority of voters, and our constitutionally functioning government, don’t see it that way.
The composition of the Senate is not determined by a majority of voters, as each state gets two regardless of enormous population disparities; nor did a majority of American voters put this confidence man in office by popular demand.

I bet if I explained this to my 5 year old granddaughter she would understand it the first time. You, however, require numerous lessons.
How could anyone have direct knowledge of something that never happened? Ukraine got the aid, they didn’t know it was held up and they never made a public announcement of any investigations. So, the “crime” alleged never happened.
Now, Durbin, Menendez and Leahy threatening Ukraine with their aid unless they provided Mueller with dirt on Trump in 2018 (Trump was already a 2020 candidate) IS what you accuse Trump of. What should their punishment be?

@Greg:Time to leave it in the rear view window, it ended as you knew it would.
Nadler hoping for resurrection by calling Bolton, tilting at windmills into Trumps second term, if he keeps his chair.

No no, doing a secret round of questioning in a bunker is both immoral, and against the idea of fairness and due process. The inquiry and “trial” were illegitimate from the start.
The House made a conscious choice to do things the way they did. That’s on them. They were playing games and they lost.
Lost.
Our government isn’t a game, and I hope the Dems learned a lesson from this. They can’t engineer justice and guilt like a 3rd rate communist country.
And, I hope they are ready to fight. They will never get a “bloodless” coup, now that the nation can see them for what they are.
The Rep Senators said it best today, the un-elected bureaucrats being slighted by Trump’s actions as they lose their sweet deals and find they are not representatives of the people, and don’t have power in this country.
Great day for our nation!

All the headlines, run by google news and of the usual sources, not of one of them says Trump was acquitted…it’s all bullshit wording that makes it look nebulous.
Cowards.

@kitt: They can call Bolton all they want. So what? What if Bolton says Trump told him he wanted aid held until Zelensky announced he was investigating Biden? It never happened. But Democrats rely on their support being too stupid to understand that. I’m sure Nadler feels he needs to make it up to Schiff for beating him to the mic.

But, nowadays, Democrats exist solely on lies.
