Today marked a turning point of sorts. The House of Representatives voted 407-23 in favor of the Democrats’ revised, anodyne resolution condemning all forms of bigotry. As Scott has noted, Nancy Pelosi retreated to this meaningless resolution because many House Democrats weighed in to support Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitism. Faced with a rebellion in the ranks, Pelosi backed down. She now denies that the resolution had anything to do with Omar.
That is quite a change from the long-ago days (less than a month ago, actually) when Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer issued a statement saying, among other things, “Congresswoman Omar’s use of anti-Semitic tropes and prejudicial accusations about Israel’s supporters is deeply offensive.” The Democratic Party leadership’s climbdown is complete: today, as predicted, Omar voted for the resolution that began life as a censure of her anti-Semitism.
So Pelosi has been humiliated, and Omar and her friends are ascendant. Via Twitchy, some observations from the House:
I’d laugh too, if I had just taken over the Democratic Party. I think we have crossed a Rubicon of sorts. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and the Congressional Black Caucus–which supported Omar unanimously, as best one can tell from news reports–are in the driver’s seat. Anti-Semitism is now accepted by the Democratic Party.Never mind lame attempts to change the subject like the multiple tweets from presidential candidates to the effect that it is not anti-Semitic to criticize the policies of the government of Israel. Of course not, but that is not what Omar did, and not what she got into trouble for doing.
Extreme they have become that party, it allows no normal non extreme opinions. They have gone there an now can have no more power than they have, because the rabid views have been embraced. They think like no one. The Media normalizes these freaks, no one thinks this way that we should tear down everything, every moral value, anything American must be destroyed.
I dont think I should force my moral values on anyone, but that is not how they feel. Their values and morals must be forced on everyone, there is no just tell me what to pay in taxes and leave me alone. The Democrat party was not like this 10 years ago they let it seep in, infect them like a virus, now like Zombies they need to feed.
The utter absurdity of the man the GOP put in the White House trumps anything the Democratic Party might have done lately. The Democratic Party has a few questionable figures. You’ve placed one that eclipses them all in the most powerful office on the planet.

Pelosi so caved on this issue that she allowed Ihan Omar to help write the resolution. When it comes to the Democratic Party, the inmates are now running the asylum. And all Greggie Gobbles can say about this failure of his party is “but, but Trump.”

Democrats have always been cowards in addressing their own flaws. Of course, first they have to recognize the flaws and clearly they do not view anti-Semitism as a flaw.
But, hey @Greg:, let’s talk about how racist everyone else is. Omar turned it around into a condemnation of Islamaphobia. Boy, they sure taught her a lesson, didn’t they? I don’t think I have to remind people what happens when anti-Jewish fervor becomes government policy, but Democrats seem to seek out Nazi characteristics to absorb and endorse.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens now that Omar came out and said the messiah (BHO) was a pretty face who murdered people. Criticizing BHO is blasphemy to the left. He was their Second Coming who was going to save the world from all the evil conservatives and libertarians.

So, you have to ask yourself:
Omar has stumbled upon–not once, not twice, but five or six times–classic anti-Semitic taunts that have been extant for centuries. What were the odds?
Nancy hopes her Dem constituents are that dumb, but are they?

Add allowing illegal aliens to vote to the race to the bottom the Democrats seem hell bent on:

Lewis’s words reflected those of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who said this week:
“So, when we talk about newcomers, we have to recognize the constant reinvigoration of America that they are, that we all have been – our families … And these newcomers make America more American. And we want them, when they come here, to be fully part of our system. And that means not suppressing the vote of our newcomers to America.”
I guess the new catch word for illegals is now “newcomers.”
Abortion on demand after natural birth, higher taxes for those who actually are willing to work, approval of rabid anti-Semitism and now letting illegals vote and disenfranchise the vote of citizens, including those that came to the U.S. the legal way.
And Nancy Pelosi has the audacity to preach on the Constitution when her party just wiped their a$$ with it?

Democrats are getting pretty audacious with their anti-Semitism, racism, hatred for citizens, open borders, unrestricted illegal immigration and allowing illegal immigrants to vote. I think they WANT Trump to win again.
If only liberals were smart enough to go back and review the positions of these America-hating socialists from just 4 years ago. But, they aren’t.
